"Dolores who owns the apartments was very friendly and helpful . We will go back there again. We we're made very welcome. The apartments were spotlessly clean and tidy. Lovely location, only a few minutes walk to Zaton restaurant's and bars. Slano is about 25 mins on the no.12 bus. Dubrovnik is about 20mins away on the no.12 bus also but in the other direction."

"Excellent location and friendly host. Beautiful view from the terrace. Convenient parking for your car/motorcycle right below the property. A 5-minute motorbike ride from Dubrovnik. When I stayed, the value for money was excellent. Ivan was very kind, even offering me an excellent bottle of red wine produced by his father."

Villa Malfi
8.1 (4 reviews)

Villa Malfi ★★★

📍 Obala Stjepana Radića 1, Zaton

"Lovely setting looking out over the cove of Zaton. There is an access road directly infront of the villa and then a waterside patio area. Access to the water is via a set of stone steps - no beach just straight into the water. The villa is clean and well kept by the lovely Anka and her daughter Darija. Behind and above the villa - and all around the cove - is the main road between Split and Dubrovnik - quite noisy but you do stop noticing it. We flew and had a taxi transfer which then meant we had no transport. There is a supermarket about 10 mins walk away that would be adequate if self catering. We chose to eat out. The 2 local restaurants are 10-15 mins walk and there are more further around the cove. All the restaurants seem to have similar menus and prices. Althouh the villa address us Zaton Veliki, it is nearer to Zaton Mali with Zaton Veliki diagobally opposite to the left. There is a small snack bar in Zaton Veliki that is very good value. Štikovica is a small inlet about 15-20 mins walk to the left ofvyhe villa and had a pebble beach and a restaurant - only had a morning coffee there but seemed nice enough. There is also a restaurant halfway between the villa and Štikovica, Orsan, which has a slightly different menu and fantastic setting but is a bit more pricey than the others in the area. The buses run from stops near the supermarket/Babilon restaurant (not tried) and at the end of the road to the left of the villa - an easy/inexpensive way to get into Dubrovnik. Some of the boat trios will pick up/drop off outside the villa - talk to Anka. We spent a lot of time walking around the cove and decided Villa Malfi has the best location in terms of sun, view, access to a supermarket, restaurants and buses. If there wasn't so much world to see - we would definitely return!"

Villa Lanterna
8.7 (34 reviews)

Villa Lanterna ★★★

📍 Stikovica 24A, Zaton

"The staff were very friendly and could not do enough to help us . The meals were lovely with very generous portion size, and cooked to order. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The shuttle bus to town was very reliable and always on time. The local beach is lovely with a very nice restaurant and cafe bar. The location meant we could visit Dubrovnik easily and also have a beach holiday "

Casa Laurea ★★★★
"We had a wonderful stay with our family! Just a fifteen-minute drive from Dubrovnik Old Town. Very charming harbor and small restaurants within walking distance. Beautiful, quiet beaches nearby, and manageable in terms of crowds even during peak season. A good base for trips to Dubrovnik, Monterey, Bosnia, etc. We were very warmly welcomed by the hostess! The apartment was beautifully and stylishly furnished and clean. Highly recommended!"

Villa Lanterna ★★★
"Stayed at Villa Lanterna last week and had the most wonderful time, we stayed half board which was great! The food Igor (hope I’ve spelt that correctly) made for us was beautiful, fish, beef, bolognaise, risotto.. all fantastic! He was great company too and made us laugh and smile every day, all the staff were friendly and the accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Stikovica is a quiet little village but was perfect for us, no loud music or noisy guests. Easier to go half board due to no local shops (a small one 20mins walk away) & only two other places to eat, however they do offer a mini bus to the supermarket in a morning & a daily pick up and drop off in to Dubrovnik which is 20mins journey. You can book boat trips and kayaks from the beach just down the steps which again is beautiful & book beds and umbrellas from the beach bar. Thank you for having us! "
