Mercure Hotel Zwolle ★★★★

📍 Hertsenbergweg 1, Zwolle

"The room is a little small and a little cold! Everything else is fine 😅 basically satisfied. The surrounding environment is relatively quiet. Because it is far away from the city, there are no shopping or dining stores. You can only order food in the hotel and send it to the room or go to the bar."

Van der Valk Hotel Zwolle

Van der Valk Hotel Zwolle ★★★★

📍 Nieuwleusenerdijk 1, Zwolle

"The hotel is convenient and very large, with several restaurants and various meeting rooms for rent. However, what I dislike most is that in European hotels, if you book a double room, the beds are often pushed together, and there are two sets of bedding – very unpleasant."

"The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are magnificent. It's a shame about the dust and that the receptionists don't speak French."

Mercure Hotel Zwolle ★★★★
"It's a very quiet place. I like it very much. This time I asked for a family room, two adults and two children. The room is quite small because the sofa is used as a bed, but it is very comfortable to sleep in. The hotel also provides a baby bed for free. Although it was not used in the end, the children had a lot of fun. I asked the hotel restaurant to borrow forks and spoons. They were very welcoming. There is also a small bar on the first floor below, which is very good for watching the European Cup. After paying the Ctrip bill, you have to pay another 15 euros to the hotel. In short, it's okay! After all, I can't find other family rooms where 4 people can live together! Haha!"

"Super. The idea of a all you can eat. The experience of having a different view from time to time has been welcomed. Eating against it was certainly wrong now. The hardness worth going more often."

Apart! Food & Drinks Apartments ★★★★
"Good location, disappointing experience. The hotel has a few strong points: it’s right in the heart of the historic city centre — a perfect base for exploring Zwolle’s terraces, bars, restaurants, museums and shops. The rooms themselves are spacious, clean and nicely designed with a fairly modern, even somewhat luxurious feel. The same goes for the bathroom. However, several things really detracted from the stay. The lobby and breakfast area also serve as a restaurant in the evening (called Waber), run by a different owner. Not a problem in itself, but our digital key didn’t work, so we asked the restaurant staff for help. Big mistake — they were notably unfriendly and simply told us to call Apart! instead. That might have been a one-off incident, but the noise wasn’t. The hotel is very poorly insulated. We were kept awake late into the night by the heavy bass from a nearby nightclub, followed by shouting guests leaving in the early hours (around 3 a.m.) right under our window. Noise from inside the hotel (thin walls and floors) added to the disturbance. Finally, the breakfast was underwhelming: lukewarm bake-off rolls and croissants, mediocre scrambled eggs, and staff who were friendly but rather uncoordinated. All in all, a stay that barely earns a six out of ten — great location, but not a great night’s sleep."
