サフミBreakfast is separate (there may be plans for busy periods). There are two options available in December 2025, each priced at 800 yen. Advance reservations are required. Breakfast is served on the 7th floor with a great view. There is a slight tram noise in the morning, but it's not too noticeable. For those who like to go back and forth between the hotel and the hotel frequently, you can keep your key until check-out, which is convenient.
The price is just right for those who prefer a small private room over a capsule hotel. The smoking room was cheaper, so I booked that. As a non-smoker, the smell bothered me a little when I first entered the room, but I got used to it after a while.
Since it's a business hotel, the bathroom is small, so if you want a large bath, there's a hot spring nearby, so it's fine. Personally, I preferred this over Dogo Onsen.

Good location next to Matsuyama station, easy access to Okaido, big shopping street, and famous Dogo onsen hot springs by tram. 2nf floor is the front desk/lounge for free drinks and soft ice cream/breakfast restaurant. The public bath is on 3rd floor. Room size is the Japanese standard, more storage space under the bed. Breakfast offers various food, many local cuisine and food, and 6 different kinds of local orange juices from Ehime.

ma-kuIt's located in the area beyond the train tracks from Dogo Onsen Station.
I wouldn't recommend going by car as it's a residential area with narrow roads.
The lighting is dim overall, but the price is reasonable so perhaps that can't be helped.
I also thought it would be a good idea to rent an entire bunk room when booking.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this exceptional ryokan, and we cannot express enough gratitude for the wonderful experience.
Every morning, we were treated to meticulously prepared, delicious breakfasts that set the tone for incredibly relaxing days. The Okami-san's (female inn manager) warm hospitality ensured our trip was comfortable and memorable.
We were particularly impressed by the introduction to Nagahama's charming local cuisine, which allowed us to truly appreciate the culinary delights of Ehime prefecture.
The attentive service and authentic Japanese experience made our stay unforgettable. We would love to return if given the chance and highly recommend this ryokan to anyone seeking a genuine taste of Japanese hospitality.
Thank you for an amazing stay!

This review captures the essence of the original letter, highlighting the key points that would be relevant and appealing to potential guests, such as the quality of food, the hospitality, and the local cultural experience. I've omitted personal details and formal letter elements to make it more suitable for a public review. Would you like me to modify anything in this review?

We really enjoyed the full Japanese Inn experience at Ebisuya Ryokan. This means you have a private room for sleeping but shared facilities for toilet and bathing. There are also very comfortable, relaxed shared lounge and reading areas. The whole Ryokan was beautifully appointed with traditional Japanese furniture. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and despite our limited Japanese we managed to communicate effectively. The room was large and beautifully appointed. The traditional bedding was laid out for us during dinner, which was served downstairs in the restaurant/dining area. The dinner was filling and delicious with an emphasis on seafood. The onsite onsens were glorious after a day travelling and they are not segregated by sex and can be locked so you can have a private onsen with your partner or family. Breakfast was also sumptuous and very traditional Japanese. If you would like to visit a less travelled part of Japan I would recommend this ryokan. Great access to the beautiful Sadamisaki Peninsula. The local town also has some great cafes!

I stayed here as part of my Tokyo Love Story pilgrimage. The facilities, hygiene, and environment were all absolutely perfect, truly impeccable. The only issue was that when I booked, it showed no breakfast included, but the reservation slip provided by the front desk indicated breakfast. I returned the breakfast voucher to the front desk and asked them to double-check, as 3000 yen isn't a small amount. The front desk said they would verify and call my room, but I never heard back, even until check-out. For a hotel of this caliber, I really think this is unacceptable, especially since this was the part I was most looking forward to in Matsuyama. However, despite this minor flaw, the rest of my experience was absolutely perfect.

Since my parents' house is Uwajima, I use it regularly. I only use twin bed rooms, but recently I have chosen this one. The facility itself is old, but it has been properly renovated, and the twin rooms are large and reasonably priced. I also like the fact that there is a 3 washing machine with a dryer.
It's a little disappointing that the unit bus is a little narrow.

The hotel is not close to Dogo Onsen street and you will need to drive or get a taxi if you want to go there. There are no restaurants or shops nearby the hotel. There is a walk nearby the hotel you can take which offers nice scenery in the woods. The hotel looks a bit dated particularly the bedrooms and the corridors. I asked for a quiet room facing the mountain instead of one facing a busy road and had to pay an additional 2200 yen. The hotel has a number of onsens and I like the outdoor ones best. The buffet dinner and breakfast offer good selection and I particularly like the dinner which offered nice teppanyaki beef and sushi.
The hotel reception staff spoke very little English and the hotel did not reply to an email I sent them asking for transportation information to get to the hotel.
There are buses near the hotel which go to Matsuyama and Imabari but they run infrequently.

It's a little far from the main street, but it was nice. The staff was good at English and it was convenient, and when I asked them not to clean the room, they hung towels at the door. Thank you
