1. Rook 316. Air conditioner not working. Remote screen broken and cannot see control panel. Couldn't change to another room as hotel was full. Had to sleep in room with fan only.
2. Fan didn't seem to work at first but staff managed to repair it. Working fan made loud noises.
3. No mirror in room.
4. One window faces inside of the house corridor the 2nd window is in toilet facing the outside.

1. Both staff at reception very friendly especially the night shift guy who helped to solve the air con and fan problem. Both are good in english.
2. TV has a few channels in English.
3. There is lift and room has the basic amenities.
4. Location is superb and a good local restaurant nearby.
One of my favourite hotels in Santo Domingo. Perfect for location and if you don't want to spend 3 figures a night for a 5 star hotel.
Renovated a few years ago, the rooms and decor are exceptional.
The hallway can be noisy but that's due to the construction of the building as it does have some history.
Breakfast is a combination of hot and cold and is served on the rooftop. Once again, staff are very helpful and attentive and I couldn't fault them for anything.
Reception is always friendly and helpful. All rooms have a minibar and a safe but if the prices are a little steep then theres a National store in El Conde where you can buy all your needs at local prices.
Your 5 minutes walk away from the centre of ”El Conde” or ”Zona Colonial” where there's quite a few US food chains such as Domino's and KFC as well as a lot of boutique shops where you can find something to your liking.
Highly recommended 3/4* hotel with 5* service
The first day I slept in and the bed was rock hard! I started inspecting the mattress and discovered that it was upsidedown! The pillow top was on the bottom. I broke 2 nails turning it around but man, so worth it.
The room feels well organized. The water pressure is very strong and I feel like I took a shower properly. Good because the transfer line from the parking lot to the room is very close. Parking manager always waits to help parking. Above all, the price is cheap
Due to issues with the visa documents and AA's poor service, I lost 2 nights of accommodation in Santo Domingo, a one-way AA ticket from LA to Santo Domingo, and an additional 3 nights of accommodation in LA plus additional fees. The total cost of purchasing a one-way ticket from LA to JFK and then transferring to Santo Domingo cost me almost US$1,000. What a shame! Basically, the accommodation was okay, but it happened that the hotel was renovating underground water pipes and it was very noisy during the day. Especially for my 2 nights on the 15th, it was very painful because I couldn't adjust the jet lag right away! This trip to Santo Domingo seemed to be very unsatisfactory at the beginning. It was a waste of money, not to mention that there was no one to help! Fortunately, I can speak English and finally got the documents sorted out and entered Santo Domingo 2 days late! I’m sorry that I keep talking about the unfortunate experience of this personal trip to provide travelers with reference, otherwise a beautiful trip will turn into many problems and leave bad memories. Travel nightmare. Thank you all!
Ctrip's price is very good. awesome.
This hotel itself is okay, so it can meet the needs of business travel.
Breakfast is priced at $20, which is very, very average. There was almost no smile at the front desk. The ironing board is very old. But anyway. Can afford the price.
The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable.

Very Good
GGuest UserI had stayed here before the pandemic about 3 times. The property is very clean, it is located in the older ”colonial” part of the city. Traffic in this area is a nightmare due to the narrow streets. SAFE area, police presence all over.
The GOOD: Clean, Safe, Staff Friendly, plenty of places nearby to eat. Breakfast supplied is ample and of decent quality, food for linch or dinner in the hotel restaurant is good though limited menu, space for seating is very limited inside the restaurant, water pressure in the shower is excellent the room safe is large. The BAD: Room Small like an IBIS, Bathroom smaller than an IBIS, A/C in my room was ”marginal” at best and previous stays here noticed this, Elevator very slow, the worst part this is not a business hotel. While the Internet provided is decent, there is NO work space available at all in the rooms. NO electrical outlets available all are hidden behind furniture or the bed and no desk type area. Had to charge my phone in the bathroom outlet and use computer on battery. Also had a room phone and minor toilet issue which I reported twice and nothing was done. DO NOT have the hotel arrange for the hotel taxi to drive you to the airport cost is $50.oo ! Make your own arrangements or get an UBER. CONCLUSION: While on vacation for a couple of days this is a Nice place to stay and see the colonial sights and enjoy the atmosphere. However, ”on business” this is not the place to stay. I will be returning on business for a longer stay in late January or early February, unfortunately I will have to stay elsewhere.

IIndo_backpackerzPro: -safe area even at night, because just beside the militery area of the presidential palace, even at 10pm there is still a grocery open.
- Breakfast is simple but good enough: toast with cheese and ham, coffee and a boiled egg.
-Spacious and clean room, friendly staff, can refill drinking water.
-500m walking to the gate of the colonial area.
- Taxi stand is at the same street
- Nice, spacious outdoor, sitting area
- A personal fridge in the room
Cons:
-A bit noisy from the road/a bar until around midnight.
- Shower is not really hot (only slightly warm).
徐徐The hotel is a monastery remodeled, very retro and beautifully visual. The rooms are small, but the public areas are great, whether it's the living room, the dining room or the terrace on the top floor. Breakfast is simple but nutritious. The girl at the front desk was very good at English, warm and thoughtful, and all the questions of the visitors who came over for the first time were answered patiently. Great location, next door is the oldest woman monastery, a great place to take pictures of the sunset. The ancient city is not big. It takes only 5-10 minutes to walk to any famous attraction from the hotel. It is also very close to the only Chinatown in many countries. You can find delicious Chinese food in 15 minutes before going straight. It is so convenient! It’s okay to hit Uber at the door of the hotel to go further. The taxi is also parked at the door of the hotel at any time, and the small square diagonally opposite is very quiet. It is a worthwhile hotel.
LLeopoldI have no complaints. My stay was well pleasurable. I would like to, however give special thanks to Wesley at the front desk, he was very courteous and accommodating, especially that he speaks English well, we were able to communicate with ease and also the cleaning staff who always have a warm and pleasant look on their faces. One in particular name Molin.
