"The location is fantastic and super easy to find. Just exit Meitetsu Station West Exit, cross one main road, and turn a corner – you'll be there in under five or six minutes. It's incredibly convenient for taking the Meitetsu Line, Meitetsu bus, JR, and Shinkansen. The room cleanliness was impeccable. I opted for the eco-clean option and received four tokens for the vending machine, which I could use to buy drinks. I think this is such a brilliant idea – it lightens the load for the cleaning staff while also benefiting guests. Finally, the service was incredibly warm and friendly, and all the directions and information provided were crystal clear. There was one lady at the front desk who was particularly enthusiastic and had a wonderful attitude; she was always smiling, making for a truly excellent experience. Thumbs up! 👍"

"The hotel's location is superb, right by Nagoya Station. What's more, there are plenty of restaurants right downstairs, so you'll have no trouble finding authentic Japanese cuisine. The hotel service was also incredibly attentive and thorough. From a smooth check-in process to thoughtful room arrangements and convenient luggage storage after check-out, the entire service experience felt very reliable and well-managed."

"Daiwa Roynet Hotel Nagoya Taiko Dori Side is conveniently located about a 5-minute walk from Nagoya Station, making it an excellent base for exploring the city and traveling around Japan. One of the biggest conveniences is the FamilyMart located on the ground floor, which is perfect for grabbing snacks, drinks, or daily necessities at any time. The room was clean and comfortable, although it was relatively small, which is typical for many hotels in Japan. Despite the compact size, the room was well-organized and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel provides a variety of amenities, which guests can conveniently pick up from the lobby according to their needs. This is both practical and environmentally friendly. Overall, this is a great hotel for travelers looking for a clean, convenient, and comfortable stay near Nagoya Station."

"First off, the hotel's location is excellent, which was the main reason I booked it. Metro Exit 10 has an elevator, and it's just a 5-minute walk past a 7-Eleven to reach the hotel. You check in yourself at the lobby on the second floor. There's free luggage storage nearby, and a pantry with ice available, which is a great touch. The laundry room also provides complimentary disposable items, a very thoughtful variety! The room size was ample enough for two suitcases, and it was cleaned daily. Overall, a very satisfying stay. There are also famous fried chicken spots and many local restaurants around the hotel. Great value for money, highly recommend!"

"Getting to the hotel from the airport is super easy: just take the Meitetsu Line straight to Nagoya Station, and it's about a 7-8 minute walk from there. Nagoya Station is great for shopping, with department stores like Takashimaya and JR Tower, plus tons of restaurants and shopping streets. You'll find everything from hitsumabushi (grilled eel) to Komeda Coffee and Ichiran Ramen. The 7-Eleven nearby even offers tax refunds. The front desk staff were really friendly and had excellent English. On the first floor, you can help yourself to various toiletries and tea bags. The room was a bit small but perfectly fine. Breakfast included both Western options like bread and salad, and Japanese dishes. If you want your room cleaned, you need to let the front desk know in the morning. For fresh towels, just put them in the bag provided and hang it on your doorknob. The only downside was that the breakfast menu never changed."

"Room is clean although small, hotel located close to subway station which is just one station away from Nagoya station, making moving around very easy. Hotel provided 3 separate beds for us, 3 travelers, which is very nice and rare to find in Nagoya. Breakfast was good and service nice. Yes, air conditioner and heating are centrally controlled, but temperature setting was quite nice for us. If you feel too hot or cold, you can turn off heating or air conditioner in your room by yourself."

"The location is very convenient, close to Meitetsu Nagoya Station and the bus terminal. I've stayed here before after exploring the surrounding area. There are several large department stores and drugstores nearby, making shopping easy. There are also plenty of dining options in the vicinity. The staff are very enthusiastic. The room isn't huge, but it's well laid out, and the bed isn't very big, which is perfect for a solo traveler. You can pick up yukata and various toiletries yourself. The breakfast is good, with delicious local specialties. You can store your luggage, and the lobby is a great spot to relax with a coffee. Excellent!"

"Our group of three females arrived and was denied check-in because the rooms were for ”Males Only.” This restriction was not clearly stated during the selection process. On the Trip.com interface, several room options were explicitly labeled [Male Only]. However, the rooms we selected had no gender label in the title. As a consumer, it is logical to assume that if one option is marked ”Male Only” and another is not, the unlabeled option is for females or unisex. This critical information was omitted from the main room title and only found deep in the reservation details after booking. This is misleading UI design for a gender-restricted property. We were stranded at the airport without accommodation due to this lack of transparency, without refund, and told that it was solely our fault. However, despite sudden show up, Toyoko inn welcome us with cheaper price, better room and free breakfast. I highly recommended Toyoko inn. Thank you TUBE Sq for your kind support, but please response to our cancellation request due to this whole nonsense error. And, lastly, may we never see you again."

"There is no coffee or tea provided complimentarily. There’s no spoon for stirring coffee even if you buy your own coffee or tea. So you also need to buy spoon from convenient shop or bring along a spoon from home when you travel to the hotel. The cleaning is not everyday when when I stay there for 11 nights. When clean up signage is out in the door they are being ignored. So you will not know what to do with the rubbish piled up in the rubbish bin. Even when cleaning was done, the standard was not good. Can still find stain in the sink and the bath. Some of the personnel at front desk also do not provide the standard greetings that would expect from service provider when eyes met. I was there tired and wanted to have a check in early, one of the girl said no negotiation check in at 3 pm. Then another said can check in earlier by 1 hour at 2 pm and and pay 1200 yen. So they don’t really know what they are doing? Instruction on early check in not clear? They also need to pay attention to the maintenance of the room and that depends on the cleaning crew and the maintenance team. Don’t stay near the vending machine room, you will hear dropping of the soft drinks. Beside the human factor at the front desk and the cleaning crew, the restaurant is good and the location is great. Bus stops to the city central is 5 minutes away and if walk to the city is about 15 to 20 minutes depending on where you go. Longer if you get distracted."
