HAVN Apartstay Hotel provided a comfortable and practical base during our Cape Town stay. The location was highly convenient, allowing easy access to major attractions such as Table Mountain and the Waterfront. The apartment-style layout suited our family well, offering sufficient space for luggage, children, and downtime. The room was larger than expected and exceeded our initial expectations in comfort. While there was a slight lingering smoke smell upon arrival, airing out the room improved the environment. Staff were helpful and accommodating, especially when allowing us to store luggage prior to check-in. The overall experience balanced independence with hotel-style convenience. It was especially helpful during a busy sightseeing phase of the trip. HAVN offered a reliable, well-located option for families seeking flexibility and space in Cape Town.
An excellent hotel! The rooms are a bit dated but quite spacious, and the price is very comfortable for what you get. The breakfast is definitely the highlight – a great variety of options, and the restaurant manager and staff were all wonderful. The hotel's location is also superb, with attractions all around. I'd happily choose to stay here again.

Nice hotel with great location. Mojo Market is right next to it and that makes it super convenient for food, drinks and live music most nights. The staff is super friendly, helpful and truly make you feel welcome. The only suggestion would be to let people know there's construction currently happening right next to the hotel which makes it a little noisy. Perhaps the hotel could offer rooms for a cheaper rate for the inconvenience. TVs might need checking as well. I was not able to use mine at all. Overall it was a great stay though. Thank you Mojo! 🫶🏼

A good business hotel, really more of a 4 than a 3, they clean well, everything is quite new, the room is small, but for two it is quite normal, the location is very good, close to all locations, somewhere you can walk, somewhere you can order a taxi, taxis are inexpensive around the city. It is a 25-minute walk to the Waterfront. Standard breakfasts, but quite enough in the morning. The staff is good, friendly, we have never had any problems. The only thing that bothered us a little was the location of the night club, under the windows, pounding all night almost every day and until the morning, we had to close the window and turn on the air conditioner. Perhaps this is the only minus of this hotel, but there are rooms on the other side, we ended up not changing. A very good option in terms of price / quality!
The location truly can’t be beat — everything is within walking distance, which made my stay super convenient. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the on-site restaurant was excellent.
However, the rooms felt a bit dated, and the carpet could really use a deep clean. My allergies were triggered with a runny nose and itchy eyes, which made the stay a little less comfortable. The bedding was clean and the bed was super comfortable though, with a reliable AC/heater.
It was unfortunately disappointing that there was no gym available for guests.
Overall, I’d still recommend this hotel primarily for its unbeatable location and great service, but I hope they consider updating the rooms, giving the carpets a thorough cleaning, and adding a fitness facility in the future.
We visited the hotel in January 2026. We loved everything, the studio room with a balcony was absolutely top-notch! 🔥
The location is convenient, and there's parking available.
The only downside was that the washing machine in our room wasn't working, and we constantly had to ask for access to a laundry room, which was a bit annoying. Also, a rather unpleasant incident was being charged 350 for a stained sheet. This was purely accidental due to unavoidable feminine circumstances...
Although it is under renovation, it is not noisy or dirty. The room is small but clean and comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance of Haibin Road and there are shuttle buses. The hotel opposite is good. The hotel is very cost-effective.
I extended my stay multiple days at the hotel since I had no complaints. But when I first checked in the shower pipe wasn't working properly and the whole handle for the water valve came off. I called reception and they came to fix it right away. After that it was fine. Water pressure could be better but oh well.

Overall, everything was satisfactory, I'd give it a 4/5. There was parking available, and a pool of sorts – even though the water was ice cold, it was good for a refreshing dip. The only thing that bothered me was having to pay 100 R for a towel upon checkout, which we didn't even really use. If we had known it was chargeable, we wouldn't have taken it at all, and honestly, 500 rubles to rent a towel seems quite steep to me. The room was clean and spacious enough for us, and the bed was comfortable. The soundproofing wasn't great; we were worried about hearing evening gatherings from the communal kitchen, but somehow everyone dispersed at a certain time and it was quiet. And you could say there's no breakfast. But for a couple of nights, it's a decent place to stay.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The employees are VERY friendly and helpful. We stored our 4 suitcases for hours and they were safe. Employees helped me load my bags in the taxi. Hotel is clean and not noisy. I stayed on the 7th floor. There are May restaurants around the hotel and you can easily walk to them. Our favorite was the GREEK FISHERMAN. Lovely sun set views. Kitchen has many useful items. We just would had loved a sponge to wash our dishes.

ZZeeinchinaGreat place. Amazing amenities. Wonderful location right opposite Canal Walk. Could do with an AC. Should have a reception at 9 palms, not having to go to the Crystal Towers to collect keys. Wifi password should be given to guests at check in
JJulian PeensThis bed and breakfast is in the ideal location to visit Simon’s town and its coastline however the actual set up of the bed and breakfast is a huge let down.
We arrived to find our room was not ready, once it was the place still looked unkempt, there was a bucket in the bath, the furniture had not been returned to its original locations well and the complimentary items seemed used.
On our second night there was load shedding a common occurrence however there seemed to be no precautionary measures taken and we had to use our phone lights to climb the three flights of stairs to our room only to find the rechargeable light (obviously for such occasions) had no batteries and was therefore useless. As South African citizens we fully understand the uncertainty of power but for the cost and normal clientele of this accommodation we really expected there to be more in place.
The meal times had been adjusted for the convenience of the staff who were on the premises compared to the welcome sheet details we received on arrival. The whole place seemed to be being run by support staff with no obvious manager on site for the three days we were there (we stayed over a weekend which I would assume to be a prime time)
There is about 4 parking sports in front of the building but they were not being used to their full potential and often we had to park a little further away.
Overall the location was the main positive. Considering the price we would have hoped to have better amenities and hope that the profile for this accommodation can be amended as there are no pools on the property unlike what the description had lead us to believe.
Luckily the charm of Simon’s town and the beaches made up for the serious lack of attention to detail and luxury you would assume a place this price and in this location would have.
3/10 would probably not go there again.

ССахайаанаOverall, it's a decent hotel. My room didn't have an iron or a closet. There's no microwave available for use. It's perfectly fine for a 1-2 day stay, but I wouldn't recommend it for longer. Housekeeping was daily, which was great 👍🏻. Breakfast was a buffet with a good variety.

AAnna TurievaThis is the best hotel in the area for price-quality ratio. But we left because of the poor service. The breakfast wasn't great, flies were flying around, and the location was excellent!
It's inconvenient that the bathroom door in the room is made of glass with gaps—some kind of fetish? Strange.
ZZykov AleksandrI really liked the accommodation. It is located within walking distance from the bus stop and taxi rank. nearby and also within walking distance of the city center, Main Street, observation decks with stunning views and the beach (but the water is terribly cold and you will not be able to swim in any of the beaches in Plettenberg Bay). I was met by a pdministrator named Debbie. She is very friendly and smiling, tried to help in everything (even in things that are not part of her duties). The reception has all the information about the attractions nearby, local taxi numbers (bolt taxi does not work in Plettenberg bay), information about restaurants and their menus, and you can book excursions. the room itself was very clean, including the toilet was in perfect condition. there is a TV and everything that is stated in the ad. on the downside, I spent only one night at the location, but the electricity was turned off twice (both times in the evening) (but there was no light on the entire street, or maybe in the entire city, so it's not the fault of the accommodation). Plettenberg Bay itself is amazing (and safe even after sunset)
GGuest UserApart from the hassle of a self service checkin, this place has all the amenities, the space and the crew to make your stay a comfortable one. Beds come with individual lights and charging points, as well as a decent size locker to stuff your day pack. Each bed also comes with a small compartment to stuff your small items. There’s a super mart next door for the self caterers and the bus stop is just a skip and a hop away.
GGuest UserThe room is perfectly clean, with new furniture, mattresses, and bedding. The reception staff is friendly and efficient in resolving any issues. However, I would like to address the room's design, which is very office-like. I believe that a brighter color scheme would make the room more inviting. Additionally, I feel sorry for your staff, as they are treated unfairly. The man outside is forced to stand on the porch all day to open the gate! Regardless of the weather, whether it is hot and sunny or cold and windy, he does not have a place to sit. Why don't you put him in a separate room where he can sit? And put a camera on the gate, so that when he sees a car approaching, he can open the gate. It's a simple solution! Doesn't the receptionist even have a chair? How is that possible? If she's tired or has swollen feet, how can she greet guests? It doesn't matter to the guest whether she's standing sitting. But it matters to her! Take better care of your staff, and they will return the favor!
I really hope for positive changes in your hotel and for your employees!
