"The hostel is located in the Old Town, which is convenient as the bus stop is only a 3-minute walk away. However, it's situated in a small alley, and there's a stretch of road without streetlights when returning from the main square, which felt a bit unsafe at night. The owner was always helpful in solving various issues, for example, when I wanted to boil a couple of eggs in the morning. There's a water dispenser available in the common area, which is handy. The day before I checked in, guests reported no hot water, initially thinking it was due to late-night usage. The next day, it was still cold. When asked, the owner said a circuit breaker had tripped. Once fixed, the water was very hot, so it's important to report any problems promptly. It was advertised as a 4-bed dorm, but it was actually a 5-bed dorm, which was quite a surprise. The owner claimed it couldn't be changed on the platform, a reason I found hard to accept. Even if the main listing couldn't be altered, they could have added a note in the remarks section. Otherwise, it feels like deception, especially for a 'non-refundable' booking where no money is returned. This was the case for both the female and male dorms. With many guests staying, the cleanliness of the common areas struggled to keep up. Also, I didn't seem to find any lockable personal lockers. The owner, who uses a wheelchair, runs this hostel, which is commendable, and the price is good. However, the issues mentioned above do exist. Luckily, I only stayed for one night as a stopover."

"We stayed there briefly for 2 nights and 3 days. Initially, my expectations were moderate, but the hotel definitely met them, and even exceeded them. The first thing I want to point out is how clean the rooms were. Everything was very clean; they cleaned frequently, changed towels, slippers, and other items, and replenished water supplies. Most importantly, the bathroom and toilet were spotless. You can tell by the hotel's condition that it's either new or recently renovated – everything feels fresh and looks great. The administrators, Sardor and Zhaloliddin, who work at the reception desk by the entrance, were particularly attentive and kind. The breakfasts were also good; they'd ask about our plans for the night and in the morning would inform us that breakfast was ready (there weren't many guests then) at the exact time we'd mentioned. What's more, they even set up the entire buffet just for us. Overall, it's a pleasant, good hotel with nice rooms and amenities! I think I'll return when I'm in Samarkand next time. P.S. For those planning to come by car – check if there's parking available, as there wasn't much when we were there."

"We arrived late, but check-in is 24/7. A very polite young man greeted us at the entrance, showed us everything, and explained it all. Breakfasts are modest; we only ate there once in two days. The room has everything, including slippers and disposable toothbrushes. The hotel is located near Islam Karimov Square, which is also where Registan is."

"A really good hotel with a great location. It’s very walkable, about 2 km walk to Registan Square, and surrounded by plenty of markets and local restaurants. Everything we needed was right in the area, which made our stay very convenient and enjoyable. The bed was super comfy and the room felt very cozy, perfect for resting after a long day out. Overall, we loved our stay here and would happily choose this place again. A solid choice for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a nice local vibe."

"This is a truly wonderful hotel! We had a very comfortable stay. The owner was incredibly kind, the room was spacious, and having a refrigerator was a real lifesaver during the heat of June. The shared kitchen was also a huge help, as I was really missing Japanese food. Just a heads-up for now: there's construction on the road near the hotel, so you might need to coordinate the pickup point when calling a taxi with Yandex. Regardless, it's an excellent hotel, and I would definitely love to stay here again when I return to Samarkand. Thank you very much!"

"We had a great stay at Sangzor Hotel. The room was spacious, and the bed, linens, and pillows were very comfortable. They also allowed early check-in. Breakfast was amazing—especially the fresh fruits. The hotel offers luggage storage as well. The location is perfect: just a 2-minute walk to Registan Square, Bibi-Khanym, and Siyob Bazaar, with plenty of nearby stores. The road in front of the hotel isn’t passable by car, but you can easily walk through a small alley at the back—only about a minute."

"Stayed at Mustafa Hotel in Samarkanda. The hotel opened only this year everything is absolutely new, fresh and works perfectly. I liked everything very much. What I would like to note separately: 1. The hotel itself is very beautiful and modern. The interior is designed to the small stylish, with taste, feels like they have put a soul. It's nice to be in the hall, in the rooms, in the common zones. Not just the ”table” cleanliness, but really beautiful design. 2. Excellent pool. Big plus for Samarkanda after a long day of heat walks it is very nice to swim. The pool is clean, tidy, with a comfortable rest area around. 3. Everything new. Since the hotel opened this year, there are no weared furniture, no rubbish coatings, no pipes with paddles. Everything works like clocks. It's a huge plus that overlaps many other moments. 4. The hotel is modern but cozy. Not a huge, faceless ”concrete box,” but a neat, thoughtful option for comfortable rest. In general, if you want to stay in a really new, beautiful hotel with a great swimming pool and stylish interior Mustafa Hotel, a great choice. I stayed very pleased."

"Even though I arrived late at night, I was kindly checked in and shown to my room. The hotel is located in a back alley, but it's easy to find as there are many signs. I could walk to all the tourist attractions in Samarkand. It was a great location. The breakfast was also very delicious."

"I liked very much staying at the hotel. Hospitable, polite and tactical, helping all the hotel owners. Rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. Pedestrian access to Registant Square and several other stunning cultural heritage facilities. We walked to the square and walked the park that is adjacent to it (Park Karimova), went further to the bazaar and the casino mosque Bibi Khanum, and even further to the necropolis of Shahi Zinda, the latter especially struck beauty and greatness. There are many delicious places with national food and not only. Thank you very much for the warm reception, we will definitely visit again when we are in the city."
