☺️Things to enjoy: Location: literally 30 seconds away from the pedestrian walking street. Registan is just 10 mins away. Breakfast: it's not a buffet and you can't choose, but they cook you 2 home-made dishes (they differ every morning): could be pancakes with jam and fruits + another dish with meat. Staff: nice people, will help with anything they can. People from all over the world stay there: always nice to chat. 👀 What to watch out for: Rooms are quite old, and the carpet on the floor wasn't really clean, so I couldn't do my regular stretches. Towels smelled of mustiness (I guess bc they don't have a dryer). Rooms windows face the inside yard, so it's always way too dark in the rooms. No water bottles / tea / coffee provided in the room, no kettle, fridge, safe box in the room There isn't really a typical hostel / hotel common space to comfortably sit and chat - only this inside yard, but not sofas or room to play board games or comfortably sit.

The hotel is beautiful, fresh, and everything is new with a pleasant interior. The staff are friendly and always willing to help if they can. The cleaning lady is also very nice. The rooms are small but have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Each floor has a small balcony where you can smoke if you wish or enjoy a morning coffee, assuming you manage to snag it. Downsides: The bathroom had very high humidity; I had to keep the door wide open constantly, otherwise, the towels wouldn't even dry. At night, a strip of light enters the room because the door isn't fully sealed. Around 2 AM, some staff member noisily checked in new guests, talking loudly and so on. There was no respect for sleeping guests – I, of course, woke up. While being polite to some guests, they shouldn't disregard the right of others to rest. In general, noise from the corridor and slamming doors is very audible, but what kind of soundproofing can you expect with such a gap between the door and the wall? I wasn't particularly impressed with the breakfast: there's nothing to complain about, but nothing to praise either. I went once and didn't feel like going again. It's clean, decent, and cozy, but for the price per night in Qatar, I've had poached eggs with salmon for breakfast, not just mild yogurt and sausages. But these are differences between countries, and overall, I have no complaints about the hotel itself; you can certainly get enough to eat. The people and the interior were what I liked most. I recommend this hotel to everyone!

An excellent hotel where everything is done with love. A very convenient location. I wanted to stay in an authentic hotel, as if we were visiting friends. And that's exactly what happened. The hosts were very welcoming. The room was clean. We checked in early in the morning without any problems. We are very happy we chose this hotel. Thanks to the hosts.

Unfortunately, I didn't take photos of the room, but everything was exactly as described. The host was welcoming, the courtyard cozy, the room clean, and the kitchen a real museum piece – we loved everything! All the attractions were within walking distance, and a taxi ride cost next to nothing!

Excellent location, generous service, and authentic charm near Registan. We stayed at Shahram Plus SH for one night, with a short extension, and had a wonderful experience. The location is excellent. It is in a quiet local neighborhood, just a short walking distance from Registan Square, the mausoleums, and the nearby bazaar. It feels peaceful and authentic while still being very convenient for sightseeing. The courtyard is beautiful and traditional, with a charming and authentic design that reflects the local culture. Our room was very large and spacious, easily accommodating three guests. It was beautifully decorated, well heated, and also equipped with air conditioning. There were plenty of outlets for charging devices, which is always appreciated while traveling. The bathroom was spacious and included a large bathtub and a western-style toilet. Free drinking water is available in the basement kitchen area, though guests need to bring their own bottles or cups. One thing we especially appreciated was the generosity of the staff. We explained that we had booked a night train departing after midnight and asked if a later check-out would be possible. They kindly offered us a much later check-out so we could relax and freshen up before heading to the station. We truly appreciated this flexibility. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly throughout our stay and treated us like part of their family. Breakfast was also very good. The dishes were local, freshly made, filling, and delicious. A couple small notes for future guests: the toilet paper may not meet Western European standards, so you may wish to be prepared. Also, the beds are quite firm. If you are a side sleeper, the firmness may take some adjustment. Aside from these minor points, the rest of our stay was excellent. We highly recommend this hotel for its location, authentic atmosphere, and the incredible service from the entire staff.

I had an early train, and this was the perfect hotel for a good night's sleep before it. For one night in Samarkand, you couldn't ask for better – they even let me check in before 2 PM. Upon arrival, it's about a 5-minute walk from the train station, and if you take the right exit over the bridge above the tracks, you'll come straight to the entrance. The breakfast was clean and tasty. The room had a fresh renovation, was spacious, and comfortable. It was super for my needs. There's a grocery market nearby and a tram line, but getting to the center takes a while if there's traffic.

Great location. The city's main attractions are within walking distance: Bibi-Khanum, Siyob Bazaar, Registan, Afrosiab, Shah-i-Khinda. Near the hotel there is a pizzeria, a restaurant serving Uzbek cuisine, and a pilaf place called Kohinoor, where you can enjoy pilaf not only during 11.30-13.00 as is customary in Samarkand, but also in the evening. There are also several minimarkets nearby, one of which, if you exit the hotel to the right, has a fairly large selection of beer, which is even more rare in Samarkand than evening pilaf. The hotel's owner was very attentive and helpful. Thank you, Mr.Kakhramon!

GGuest UserLocation: excellent! It is in the same building complex as the Art Gallery Happy Bird, mentioned in Tripadvisor. Registan is about 300 m away, so after dinner I would walk there to see the illumination. My room had 2 twin beds, was rather small but comfortable. Upon opening the windows, a cool breeze entered the room. Wi-fi was reliable and there was a water boiler for tea. Breakfast was abundant and good. The cook, Dishoda, would make me an omelette every morning. In the same building there are restaurants and fast food/ice cream joints. On my last day I took the train to Khiva, which departs at 11:46. The hotel allowed me to stay in the TV room, with wifi access, water and toilet facilities, for 10 hours after check out. I recommend Hotel Dyor.

HHami NguyenThis guest house is a wonderful budget-friendly option in Samarkand. It’s conveniently located near the city center, only about 2 km from Registan Square and other major attractions, making it very easy to get around. The room rates are affordable, with options for 2 or 4 guests, which is perfect for couples, families, or groups of friends. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay. The host is incredibly kind, gentle, and always willing to help with anything you need. One of the highlights was the homemade breakfast prepared by the family — generous, delicious, and offering a wide variety of dishes each morning. For easier navigation or when booking a taxi, it’s best to search for “Bilol Hotel” on Google Maps. Wishing this lovely guest house continued success and many more happy guests in the future!

JjedsmangulabnanWe had a great stay at Sangzor Hotel. The room was spacious, and the bed, linens, and pillows were very comfortable. They also allowed early check-in. Breakfast was amazing—especially the fresh fruits. The hotel offers luggage storage as well. The location is perfect: just a 2-minute walk to Registan Square, Bibi-Khanym, and Siyob Bazaar, with plenty of nearby stores. The road in front of the hotel isn’t passable by car, but you can easily walk through a small alley at the back—only about a minute.

ZZhizihuawuyueWe set a triple room, the room is very clean, the decoration is very special, the service is very warm, the breakfast is very rich, you can store your luggage, when you leave the store, you also help us arrange a free delivery to the train station, and send a special gift to the store, and also intimately take a photo with us! In short, the accommodation experience is great! The only fly in the ointment is that there are no slippers and shower caps!
