Stayed in the room with private Onsen in April. The room was very big and facilities were great. We drove here with plans to visit Kawaguchiko and Gotemba, the location was good for us considering our mode of transport. The only issue we had was that the room was very hot. The heater was centralised and we could not adjust the temperature and was advised to open the window to cool the room down. Even though we opened the window, the curtains would limit the air from coming in which made the room feel a little like a sauna at times. I still give this place a big thumbs up but will reconsider coming back here because of the heating issue.
The view from the hotel window was absolutely stunning. The staff were very attentive — even before the car entered the parking lot, they were already waiting there. The room was clean and stylish, and the hot spring was very satisfying. Dinner wasn’t particularly impressive, but the portion was just right. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. Overall, it was a very satisfying experience, and I will definitely book again the next time I come to Lake Kawaguchi.
Service: Very warm and welcoming. There's a ********* staff member who speaks Chinese, and the other reception staff's English is also very good, making communication easy and pleasant. In the afternoon, there are complimentary drinks, beer, and wine available.
We were also escorted to our room by a woman in a kimono who served us two cups of green tea – very thoughtful service!
Environment: The environment is fantastic. There's a hot spring foot bath where you can enjoy drinks, the view, and soak your feet, which is very relaxing. The private onsen also offers views of Mount Fuji, and the room wasn't as small as I expected; it's perfectly fine for a couple.
Cleanliness: The cleanliness was just average. Perhaps the seat cushions weren't cleaned and disinfected promptly, as my skin is prone to allergies, and I broke out after touching them. Other areas seemed okay though.
Dinner: Dinner was served in our room, and an elderly lady introduced each dish one by one, which made for quite an elaborate meal. I really liked the taste of the sake served with the meal; the other dishes were pretty standard, nothing special.
Pictures 3 and 4 show Mount Fuji in the early morning rain, while pictures 1 and 2 show it after the rain cleared up. This room offers an excellent view of Mount Fuji right from the balcony door. There's only a slight obstruction on the right side, but it doesn't affect taking great photos. The breakfast selection isn't extensive, but the taste is decent.
Hotel room felt luxurious and blends the modern with the traditional. Service was incredible, I especially enjoyed their dinner service. The breakfast buffer spread was also very good. Hotel offers luggage storage and shuttle services to kawaguchiko station. Staff are overall extremely friendly and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
Amazing place with great everything!
Staff were so kind with lots of inclusions; free parking, free amenities (some rentals like yakata, baby supplies etc), free afternoon snacks/drinks in the lobby.
Great view all round - from our room, hotel lobby/lounge and where dinner/breakfast was served
Had the public laundry, public baths (which we didn’t use as we booked a private bath), massage chairs - they had a blood pressure machine near them.
Food served during breakfast and dinner were delicious, so fresh and great variety.
Highly recommended, would def stay here again when we come back :)
The meals was the best part of the stay. It made everything else in Tokyo pale in comparison. Room was clean and spacious and the hot spring was also wonderful. Staff service was also good, only downside is that English proficiency varied significantly. But otherwise a very good experience.
I stayed at Highland Resort Hotel & Spa and had an amazing experience! My room came with a stunning Mount Fuji view — it honestly felt like a dream waking up to that sight every morning. 🌄
The staff were all so friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the onsen was super relaxing after a long day. The breakfast buffet had so many delicious options too!
The location is perfect — just beside Fuji-Q Highland and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Everything about this hotel made my stay unforgettable. I’ll definitely come back again! ❤️
Very nice hotel with great service. The garden is really nice to walk around with river flowing through it. Rooftop onsen in the evening as the sun sets is the highlight of the trip. The drum performance at night followed by bingo game was really captivating. Shoutout to Yumi who guided us to our room and explained all the hotel amenities and services. Food is extensive though taste wise in find not as tasty as what was offered in Tokyo. Tips: wake up early to take pic of Mt Fuji as I noticed by 11am the mountain was already hiding within the mist.
This place is amazing! Tranquil environment, surreal view of Mt Fuji on a higher elevation and a very comfortable living space. I had a great time chilling and enjoying the view and amenities with my friends during our 3 nights stay. Personally feel this one of if not the best view for Fuji. Special shoutout to Yuri who took care of us and ensure we have everything we need. Would defo come again.

GGuest UserThis was my third time staying at Grand Mecure. At this hotel in Yatsugatake, the kids' space was spacious, so I got the impression that there were a lot of children. Unlike other Grand Mecure hotels, there are two lounges. I booked a room with access to the executive lounge, so it was relatively quiet. I think that for people who want to spend their time quietly, the large number of children may be a concern. The staff were very kind. There is nothing around the hotel, but I went there for the purpose of staying at the hotel, so I was able to relax. It seems to have been renovated a few years ago, so the rooms and facilities were clean. It was nice that there was a new water station in the lobby.
There was no coffee in the room, so it would have been nice if they had offered takeout coffee from the dining area!

MMaggie ChanThis glamping resort is awesome! My whole family love it so much. It is extremely clean and neat. We stayed here for 2 nights with awesome view of Mt. Fuji.
The portion of dinner is appropriate, you can either grill it (stay indoor) or do it BBQ (outdoor). It is all up to you! With private onsen, kids could play freely.
Will definitely recommend to friends
