This ryokan also features complimentary wireless internet access and gift shops/newsstands. Featured amenities include a library, a safe deposit box at the front desk, and an elevator. "The room was very spacious, with beautiful views of Lake Kawaguchiko and Mount Fuji right outside the window – though unfortunately, Fuji-san was hidden by clouds on the day we stayed. Both breakfast and dinner were good. However, the Wi-Fi signal in the room was almost non-existent; the internet was incredibly poor. Also, each room only comes with two complimentary bottles of water, and additional bottles cost 200 yen each. This is the first hotel I've ever encountered that charges for water."

"【Location】The hotel's location isn't ideal, a bit secluded. It's surrounded by Japanese residential homes. If you want to eat or go out, you'll need to walk about 12 minutes to Kawaguchiko Station. The hotel is on a hillside, so it's on a slope. If you have luggage, you can reserve the hotel's shuttle service to and from Kawaguchiko Station. It's most convenient if you're driving. We hired a car from Hakone, which cost 900 JPY for an Alphard for 1 hour and 13 minutes. The hotel offers a free shuttle service from 8 AM to 10 AM, round-trip to Platform 10 of Kawaguchiko Station (at 3:00 PM, 4:00 PM, 6:00 PM) and Fujikyu Highland Bus Stop (at 2:15 PM, 5:00 PM). It's a 900-meter, 12-minute walk to Kawaguchiko Station, or a 600 JPY taxi ride. There's a large supermarket nearby. 【Highlights】You can enjoy a magnificent view of Mount Fuji from every floor! The rooftop terrace is available for BBQ. Considering the inconvenience of dining nearby, we opted for a 'one-night, two-meals' plan, which includes breakfast and dinner. Dinner is either Japanese yakiniku (grilled meat) or sukiyaki. Breakfast is delivered to your room. There are also limited-edition Mount Fuji cakes. The rooms are equipped with smart devices, projectors, kitchen facilities, toiletries, tea bags, coffee beans, and BBQ equipment. It's perfect for a group of friends looking to rent an entire villa. 【Check-in/Check-out Info】Check-in is at 3:00 PM, with the latest check-in at 8:00 PM. If you arrive after 8:00 PM, an additional fee of 5500 JPY per room will apply. Check-out is at 10:00 AM. A late check-out until 11:00 AM will incur an additional charge of 3300 JPY (143 JPY). Hotel Email: Info-44321tfk@toki223.com 【Suggestions】The guesthouse could provide electric bicycles for guests to rent and use for getting around. Increasing the frequency of shuttle services would also be helpful."

With a stay at Konansou in Fujikawaguchiko, you'll be on a lake, a 5-minute walk from Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway and 13 minutes by foot from Lake Kawaguchi. This luxury hotel is 1.5 mi (2.4 km) from Fuji-Q Highland and 8.5 mi (13.6 km) from Mount Fuji. Treat yourself with massages, body treatments, and facials. If you're looking for recreational opportunities, you'll find hot springs, a sauna, and karaoke. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless internet access, an arcade/game room, and a television in a common area. Guests can catch a ride on the complimentary shuttle, which operates within 1 kilometers. Satisfy your appetite at the hotel's coffee shop/cafe. Wrap up your day with a drink at the bar/lounge. A complimentary buffet breakfast is served daily from 7 AM to 9:30 AM. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. A train station pick-up service is provided at no charge, and free self parking is available onsite. Make yourself at home in one of the 51 guestrooms featuring refrigerators and flat-screen televisions. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and digital programming is available for your entertainment. Bathrooms feature separate bathtubs and showers, complimentary toiletries, and bidets. Conveniences include phones, as well as safes and desks.

"The location is pretty convenient, about a 10-minute walk from the bus station. It's located on the south side of Lake Kawaguchiko, which I guess is why it's called 'Hotel on the South Side of the Lake'? They offer a shuttle service to the station, but I'm not sure if they have a pickup service as well. They have private open-air baths with constantly flowing water, which can be a bit noisy at night. There are also public baths. I'd recommend not specifically booking a private bath that claims to have Mt. Fuji views, as seeing the mountain is more about luck than location – you can still see it from the public baths. The dining is excellent and varied. Dinner included sushi, hot pot, and rice, offering plenty of choices. Breakfast was also good, with a wide selection. As for local specialties, that really depends on your personal taste. Service was very friendly. I didn't encounter any staff who spoke Chinese, but they made every effort to communicate effectively and provide excellent service."

"This 40-year-old hotel is incredibly well-maintained and has a charming, cozy, vintage vibe. We opted for a Mount Fuji view room, and if the weather cooperates, you get stunning views of Fuji-san. Hotel guests also have access to the nearby hot spring baths, about a five-minute walk away, though a heads-up: those with tattoos are not permitted. The breakfast spread is fantastic, offering a wide variety of both Japanese and Western options. The hotel is conveniently located right next to the entrance of Fuji-Q Highland amusement park, and there's a fantastic Italian restaurant downstairs. The food there is absolutely delicious – I went three times during my two-day stay! Highly recommend it."

"A short drive from Lake Yamanaka, we checked into here for the night—mainly because we wanted to explore the area and try the region’s famous Hōtō noodles. We chose a traditional Japanese futon room for the experience. That meant laying out our own beds—slightly clumsy, a bit of trial and error, and a lot of laughing when we realised there’s no “redo” once everything’s set. The weather had a chill to it, so the onsen became the highlight. Stepping into the hot water while the cold air lingered outside—it slowed everything down in a way you don’t realise you need. Nothing extravagant, nothing overly planned. Just the four of us, figuring things out as we went. Looking back, it wasn’t the hotel or even the lake—it was those small, unpolished moments that made the night feel complete."

It was excellent. I would like to go back again and stay more longer. We did as a family two nights in three days. We had a breakfast and evening dinner, the hot spring was very good. It makes my skin very nice. I had an allergy, but my allergy is healed because of the hot spring.

We spent our anniversary with my girlfriend in Kaneyamaen, and our experience was above and beyond. Starting with the shuttle option provided by the hotel from Mishima station, which also took us to Oshino hakkai, what a gorgeous place, before ending up at the hotel. We were really satisfied of our driver who shared facts about Yamanashi prefecture and Fuji. Our check-in process was also a really nice experience. From the moment we arrived we felt the hospitality of the hotel service crew. They escorted us to our room and helped with our luggage. Staying at a Sanri-Comfort Western Room, we had access to 2 lounges, where in one of them we had access to many kind of amazing wine from Yamanashi, among other tasty snacks. We choose our yukata and headed for matcha tasting. This is located in another part of the building which also gives us a peak at the wonderful garden. The matcha and snack we received helped us settle in with the calm garden view. Then came dinner. My god, the dinner was above and beyond. Neither of us had an 8 course dinner before with such a perfect service and absolutely amazing food. Hats of to the restaurant and service crew. Truly impressed. We decided to walk of the calories in the hotels beautiful garden at night. The illumination creates a really romantic experience. After this, we attended the Taiko drum show, which is organized by the hotel crew. First time for me and I can say it definitely made our experience even more special. Fantastic work. Then the star of the show. The open-air bath on the balcony. The sight of Mt. Fuji early morning from the bath, was a magical experience which we'll never forget. The buffet breakfast provides a great selection of food and drinks, rest assured we left very pleased. All in all, this was an extraordinary stay for us. Nothing but max points. Wish we'll have the chance to visit again.

Avoid at all costs! It's infested with bugs, and the service is terrible if you're not Japanese or white. When I arrived, I was given a room on the 3rd floor with a balcony facing a rooftop and AC vents. I asked for a higher floor, and the front desk pretended not to understand, then switched me to a room on the second floor, first row. That evening, I thought the view was unobstructed and great, and I wondered why this room wasn't fully booked when I moved. The bathroom was on the balcony, and when I went to shower, I found it swarming with thousands of bugs (no wonder the lower floors were empty). I had no choice but to use the public onsen. I hoped it might be better the next day, but in the morning, the balcony was still covered in bugs, and the outdoor bath was also full of them. It was completely unusable, which was a shame given the view. The service was exceptionally poor for Japan. The old man who brought the towels knocked three times within 30 seconds of arriving and had a sour face when I opened the door. In the morning, he completely ignored us downstairs but bowed and enthusiastically greeted white guests with a 'Good morning.'

We had a wonderful stay at Grand Mercure Yatsugatake as a family traveling with a baby. The hotel is surrounded by nature, with beautiful views of the mountains, which immediately creates a calm and relaxing atmosphere — perfect for families who want to slow down and breathe. The hotel is very family-friendly. Traveling with a baby can be stressful, but the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived. Everyone was kind, patient, and attentive, which really made a difference for us as parents. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, with enough space to comfortably stay with a baby. We especially appreciated the peaceful environment at night, which allowed our baby (and us!) to rest well. The facilities were also well suited for families. The common areas are easy to navigate with a stroller, and the overall layout of the hotel feels relaxed and not overwhelming. The natural surroundings add a special charm and make the stay feel refreshing and rejuvenating. Overall, Grand Mercure Yatsugatake is an excellent choice for families with babies who are looking for comfort, tranquility, and good service in a beautiful natural setting. We would definitely consider coming back and recommend it to other families traveling with young children.

They offer a shuttle service from Kawaguchiko Station, which takes about five minutes to reach the hotel. The hotel is a bit old-school, showing its age, but the room I booked had a view of Mount Fuji. The buffet was excellent, and the alcoholic drinks were also self-service. It's just a five-minute walk to the cable car station, which is great for avoiding crowds in the morning.

I absolutely loved the hotel's style. It has a very tranquil and peaceful atmosphere that makes the world feel less chaotic. This time, I stayed in the Butterfly room. From the moment I was picked up at the station by the staff to the check-in introduction, everything about the stay was fantastic 👍🏻. Also, breakfast was personally escorted to the Dining Room by the staff, and I was completely full after the meal 🤣. Oh, by the way, everyone should try the inconspicuous little ramen stand diagonally opposite the hotel at the traffic light 🍜. It was my first time hearing that a street food stall required a reservation, and I waited an hour before finally 'cutting in' to get a spot 😂. It's just less than a minute away, directly opposite the hotel at the traffic light. The taste was really good for that area. Finally, thanks again to the hotel staff for their thoughtful arrangements.
