4-Star Hotels in Guangdong, China

Traveling to Chaozhou by car, we chose this Hampton by Hilton hotel. It's conveniently located between the highway exit and Chaozhou Old Town, making it easy to get around. There's both surface and underground parking available. The service was enthusiastic, and even though there were a lot of tourists, check-in was efficient. The room was spacious, but the decor felt a bit dated. Breakfast was plentiful, with all the food ready by 7 AM, which was great.

I've stayed here a few times and it's always great! The location is super convenient, really close to the subway and electronic shopping districts, making it so easy to get around and go shopping. Sundy's service was also excellent, and the lobby even had a check-in activity where they gave out gifts! The rooms are clean and comfortable too. It's a solid choice for both business travelers and families, definitely a five-star review from me!

I arrived at the hotel at 8 am for an early morning flight, and I really appreciate the staff for arranging an early check-in for me. They also recommended Yin Kee Chang Fen for breakfast, which was great – by the time I got back to the hotel, my room was ready. They even gave me a welcome fruit platter. During my stay, there was a thunderstorm in Guangzhou for a trade show, and they lent me an umbrella (20 RMB deposit, which was refunded immediately upon return), which was super convenient for a business trip. Downstairs there are all sorts of great food options and snacks, and on the fifth floor of the hotel, you can enjoy authentic Cantonese dim sum, which is both delicious and affordable.

The service was absolutely amazing! They offered a free airport pick-up and even complimentary shuttle service to the subway station. Communication was super efficient, all done through WeChat. Plus, they gave us a thoughtful little gift. So considerate!

The hotel lobby boasts an elegant and grand design, while the rooms are spacious, tidy, and spotless. The breakfast offers a rich variety of options, and the view outside the window is stunning. The service is warm and attentive. This is my go-to hotel every time I visit Shaoguan.

The room decor was lovely and beautiful. However, there were two very serious issues: 1. The top floor supposedly had a paint smell, so they had the extractor fan on. The noise was incredibly loud, and nobody told me about it. After I called to ask, the fan was turned off, and the world became silent. Do they even consider their guests' comfort? 2. The shower drain noise was unbeatable. The sound of water gushing was louder than flushing a toilet. If someone showered at night, I felt like I was living in a waterfall.

The room size was adequate, and the facilities were standard. The breakfast was suitable and just right. It's very convenient for shopping, dining, and drinking nearby. My only two minor complaints are: first, I suggest putting two bottles of water in the mini-fridge and two more in the tea bar, so guests can choose as needed; second, the floor mat by the coffee table often clashes with the computer chair, which I recommend adjusting. I highly recommend this small, unpretentious restaurant near Jieyang Airport – the food is incredibly fresh with great 'wok hei' (wok breath/flavor)!

The location is fantastic! You can spot the entrance right after exiting Kuiqi Road Station (Exit C) on either the Guangfo Line or Metro Line 2. The hotel is situated right above the DNA commercial center, which has everything you need for dining and shopping. I was pleasantly surprised that restaurants were open on Chinese New Year's Eve, so I had a delicious meal at Xiaolizhi. It's also super convenient to get to Zumiao, Nanfeng Ancient Furnace, and Guangzhou South Railway Station from here. I loved it!

The price was high due to a trade show, but all the surrounding hotels were similar, and this one felt like a good deal. At the very least, it was clean, and the staff were professional and had great service attitudes. The breakfast also offered a good variety. Most importantly, it was super convenient for getting to the exhibition. The front desk even recommended two routes: walking there and taking the subway back, or vice versa, both of which were very practical.

The location is fantastic, right by Qijiang Bridge, making it super convenient to walk to all the main attractions downtown. There are plenty of great food options nearby too. The hotel opened in 2024, so the facilities are well-maintained and still feel quite new. Atour's quality definitely shines through; it was a very comfortable stay. The cleanliness was good, and the shower had great water pressure. A small, pleasant surprise was when I went to do laundry in the morning and forgot to pick it up – when I opened my door later to leave, I found it had already been brought up and hung on the door. Excellent service! Highly recommend for both leisure and business trips to Zhongshan.
