Thoughtful touches and discreet charm make your stay at voco™ St John’s Solihull different right from the start. A stylish yet unstuffy hotel with conference facilities. Birmingham NEC a convenient 10 minutes away. Close to Birmingham Airport and the Midlands motorway network. With 13 flexible events spaces and dedicated staff, we can deliver the ultimate corporate event or your dream wedding. Here to relax? Dive into the pool. Steam in the sauna, get a massage or hit the treadmill in the health club. Dine on seasonal dishes in Brasserie six5one and order a nightcap in the bar.

"We chose this hotel, about a 30-minute drive from home, for a one-night stay so the kids could go swimming. They were so excited before we even left. After checking in, we rushed to the pool, only to be told that children weren't allowed after 6 PM and could only use it after 9 AM the next morning. However, check-out was at 11 AM, which left very little time. So, I contacted Trip.com customer service to request a late check-out. During the first call, the hotel said they would charge £10 per hour for late check-out. We expressed our dissatisfaction, and thanks to Trip.com's proactive coordination, the hotel finally agreed to a free two-hour late check-out for both rooms. The kids had a fantastic time the next morning, which was a huge plus. The hotel is newly renovated, and the overall facilities are quite good for a UK hotel. Dinner was also decent, though the steak was a bit disappointing. Luckily, the waitstaff were very friendly and didn't charge us for it. IHG's service philosophy was generally well-reflected. However, the hotel seemed a bit understaffed. There were only two people at the front desk, so checking in required a bit of a wait. After check-in, no one showed us to our rooms, and the layout was a bit confusing, making it easy to get lost. I hope the hotel can improve in this area in the future. Also, it would be even more appealing if they could add some family-friendly room types."

No. 2 of 4-Star Select Hotels in Birmingham
Located in the Centre of the city of Birmingham, The Hyatt Regency Birmingham is a 319 room deluxe hotel. The Hotel is one of the few in Birmingham that combines a central location for both business and leisure. Our hotel offers a range of luxury rooms, from spacious Guestrooms to the exclusive Presidential Suite. Guests can enjoy breathtaking views over either the City Centre, or the Birmingham City Canals. The hotel is linked directly to the Birmingham International Convention Centre (ICC) and Symphony Hall. It is within walking distance of Broad Street and Brindley Place, the city's vibrant nightlife area. The Hyatt Regency Birmingham is also only ten minutes by train from Birmingham International Airport and the National Exhibition Centre (NEC).

"Hyatt Rengency Hotel Birmingham is a very nice and cozy hotel with great facilities. It offers halal food, and prayer mats are available upon request, which I really appreciated. The leisure facilities are lovely, with a heated swimming pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, and spa. However, my stay was let down by the fact that the room did not have a smart TV as mentioned on the website, which caused a lot of wasted time considering that I planned to stay in most of the times. The hotel eventually upgraded us (to a similar room just a few floors higher) after several contact made to reception and a long wait, but I’m grateful to Kenza for her assistance. On checkout, Nandini was very kind and offered support for my next visit as a gesture for the inconvenience. There's also an issue with parking, which operates on a first come first serve basis. So if you park your car on day 1 and say you're staying for 3 days, you have to pay for the parking for 3 days ahead which is £27 for 24hr. During these days if you happen to take your car out and come back with no free parking space, you lose your money. Your slot is not reserved. It would be better if they charge us for parking when we are leaving the car park rather than making us pay in advance. Overall, a comfortable hotel with excellent amenities, but clearer information on room facilities would have made the stay much smoother. I would have come better prepared."

"The apartment was central, clean and presentable. The bed seemed smaller than a double. The bathroom and kitchen facilities were good. The TV was not programmed and we were unable to connect the tv to the internet so it remained unused. We had two main issues during our night stay. One - Continuous Horrendous noise from 11:45pm till early hours of the morning 1:30am ish then for it to start again at 4am. The noise was bottles being put in bins and bins being moved. It sounded like the bottles were being dropped from a height into the bin then the bins being emptied. We had such a poor nights sleep. In the morning we could see that the bins were right up against our windows to the apartment. Two - We eventually dropped off to sleep to be woken up by our apartment door being opened and someone saying Hello..my husband shouted and the person apologised and shut the door. It was very scary and our privacy was disturbed and our sleep, and due to the fact we couldn’t sleep in the night, it was very unpleasant. I did not feel safe. I emailed the company for an explanation but had nil response."

"The room was spacious, much more than I thought that it would be. It was also very clean. As we were out most of the time, we couldn't really get to use any of the facilities, if any in the hotel. As it's right smacked within the Coventry Club Football Arena, I can imagine it being a good accomodation for football fans whenever there's a match. The downside is that it's a little out of the way from the city centre. Unless you have a car, it might not be convenient to go to the city centre from this hotel."

"Located on part of the Birmingham University campus in Edgbaston so good location for academic conferences / visiting the university, also short distance to dental hospital, cricket ground, tennis centre etc. Plenty of free parking including blue badge and EV charging. Check-in was quick and efficient. Angela, who checked us in, was friendly and helpful. There is a large bar which serves smaller meals throughout the day and also a restaurant in the evening. The bar food was average price for hotel food (£12+ for sandwich with some soup)  and average quality. Room was clean and tidy, with modern decor. It was very spacious and well equipped with seating and table, ironing board, plenty of pillows, pod coffee machine and plenty of coffee pods, tea bags etc. Black out blinds worked well and there was minimal noise from other rooms / corridor. Would definitely stay again if in the Edgebaston / Birmingham area. "

This hotel was absolutely perfect! Me and my daughter booked this hotel to see Louis Tomlinson at the Utilita. It was perfect location. 10 minutes from the train station, 5-10 minutes from the arena. There is also a lot of night life so we managed to find a nice place just across the road to have some food and drinks. The room was lovely too! We had two double beds so we managed to sleep very well after the concert! Will definitely stay again if we have another trip to Birmingham!

Really impressed with our stay at the Holiday Inn at Birmingham. Great location as it next the train station and city centre. Pleasant and polite staff and reception area with lots comfortable chairs and sofas to chat in. We had a twin room which was large with comfortable beds and a huge tv screen. The dated building from the outside does not reflect the fresh and delightful furnishings inside. Fully recommend.
