Location: easy to find and surrounding is really nice to walk and good street food around.
Parking: a separate parking bays that needs to tag in with either of the payment cards for access. Upon leaving the hotel, need to remember to validate the card for hotel guest free parking facility. It is a non-covered parking so if rain expect inconvenience and if sunshine expect excess heat in the car. NOT really friendly but acceptable.
Room: good bed good pillows, floor not so clean can see some hairfall wasn't wiped off. Bath tub pipe maybe a bit old or seldom in used hence the water flowed out was yellowish. The linen is soft but can know they are quite old, that old linen smell is quitw obvious.
Aircond: is either we don't know how to operate, it can't seemed to be able to be adjusted to the temperature we want. It will become quite warm in the midnight.
Sound proof: SUPER BAD 👎 Imagine we will know what is happening exactly in the bathroom and toilet. The noise from the road till midnight is even clearer. We are staying at lvl 8 and the tallest is lvl 10.
Service: Good hospitality and polite.
Restaurant breakfast: not up to par, honest feedback.

This time, my friends and I chose The Pines Melaka for our trip. The location is truly unbeatable, right in the city center, making it super convenient to get to all the main attractions and shopping malls. The room was quite spacious, and the staff were friendly. However, the facilities definitely show their age and could use better maintenance, and the cleanliness could be improved in some areas. Overall, it's decent value for money, especially if location is a top priority and you're not too picky about newer facilities.

First, the good points:
1. It's quite close to the House of Holland attraction.
2. The room view was decent.
3. The swimming pool staff provided excellent service.
4. I liked their hotel's water bottles and the thick slippers.
Now for the unsatisfactory points, which were the most frustrating:
1. Since I was extending my stay, I specifically went to update my key card after 12 PM. When I wanted to return to my room after swimming, the door wouldn't open. I had to run down to the first-floor lobby in my swimsuit to update it. After confirming with the staff that both key cards were fine, I ran back up. Because it was so cold, I went for a 10-minute sauna before going back to my room to shower, but the door still wouldn't open. I had to run down to the first floor again to update the key card... Finally, it worked.
2. The soundproofing was poor; I could hear people talking in the next room and outside the door.
3. There were no children's toiletries.
4. The cleaning was subpar; there was still toothpaste from previous guests on the toothbrush glass. Anyway, we weren't going to use it, so never mind.

I extended my stay for one night and both my parents and my room key card kept deactivating for several times. Imagine you need to walk all the way to the lift, realised the card is not working, then walk back to the reception to keep validating your room card. I've went to the reception the night before original check out to inform the staff. And furthermore when I am out sightseeing during the day, someone called me to confirm I am extending my stay, yet the card still kept deactivating.
Housekeeping is also not done when we returned to the room at 3.30pm. We need to request them to come and it delayed our shower and our subsequent plans. Not only that, they took away the toilet mat and did not replace it and we need to call housekeeping again and wait for it to be replaced before we can take a shower. There is also a leak in the bathroom so the entire housekeeping and pipe fixing took really long.
The cleaning of the pool is also done in the morning at 8.30am after it is opened, while the pool closes at 8pm at night.
All the staff are nice and trying their best, but it looks like they are understaffed and could not perform their required duties as housekeeping is not done in time and the pool is cleaned during opening times.
For the price charged and their rating as a 5 star hotel, the amenities and service just doesn't match. I would not recommend.

I stayed at Birkin International Hotel in Melaka from Tuesday to Thursday. As the hotel is still new, I understand that some facilities and security features may not yet be fully operational—for example, access control requiring a room card to enter guest floors. I also understand that, as a newly opened hotel, some rooms may not have undergone complete inspections.
Upon check-in, the first room assigned to us had several defects: the toilet basin was choked, and the basin handle in the small kitchen area had come off. We contacted the front desk for assistance regarding the choked basin, and they offered us a room change. A staff member whom I believe was the hotel manager came up personally, escorted us to another room, and informed us that we had been upgraded. We truly appreciated this gesture and the prompt service provided.
We checked in around 3:00 p.m. and were feeling hungry, so we decided to try the hotel food. We ordered two slices of cake, fish and chips, and pizza. The food was nice and delicious, and we genuinely enjoyed it.
However, I would like to highlight a concern regarding the breakfast experience. As this is a five-star hotel, I expected a high standard of hygiene with zero tolerance for flies in the dining area. Unfortunately, I noticed several flies during breakfast. On one occasion, during the nasi lemak service, I saw a fly land on a bowl of eggs. I pointed this out to the staff, but they only removed the piece of egg that the fly had landed on. This was quite alarming, and as a result, I did not dare to try the nasi lemak at all.
Later, I noticed one of the staff attempting to smash a fly while wearing gloves. This made me wonder whether the gloves would be changed afterward if the fly was successfully killed. This raised further concerns about food hygiene. Because of this, I became worried and chose to eat only items that were freshly cooked on the spot, such as curry noodles.
Overall, I felt disappointed with the breakfast hygiene standards and sincerely hope the hotel will take this matter more seriously. I believe Birkin International Hotel has great potential, and with improved attention to cleanliness and food safety, it can offer a much better experience for guests.
Thank you for taking the time to review this feedback.

From the moment I arrived, the friendly and courteous staff made me feel welcomed and valued. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced my experience.
One of the delightful touches was the welcome amenities, featuring a freshly baked cookie that was simply delicious—a perfect treat after a long journey.
The room itself was spacious and well-appointed, easily accommodating an extra bed or two, which is fantastic for families or groups traveling together. I appreciated the layout and comfort, allowing me to relax after a day of exploring.
Additionally, the hotel's location is a significant advantage. It offers easy access to many of the city's attractions, and the convenience of using Grab for transportation made navigating the area a breeze.
Overall, my stay at DoubleTree Melaka was a delightful experience, thanks to the attentive staff, comfortable accommodations, and great location. I look forward to returning in the future!
Hotel is situated in A Famosa.
Well maintained with friendly manager Saiful who did his best to help my family with our needs
However the only regret is that being a GHA Titanium member and having booked via trip.com I could not enjoy all the Titanium privileges. My GHA application has a bug since a while
Overall the hotel is clean, good breakfast with dedicated waiters.
Thanks @Saiful for helping to sort out a nearer room for my parents

We were welcomed warmly by the staffs, with cold desserts during a hot day, after a long journey. Parking was available for guests, easy access, lowered car friendly. Every staffs was friendly. Lovely atmosphere all around. Nearby Jonker Street and other tourist attractions. Breakfast was delicious, a variety of food choices, buffet and ala-carte. Room was clean and spacious. Staff set up aroma candle during evening time too, room smells great, and they cleaned up the room a little while at it too. Overall excellent service! Highly recommended place. Thank you!

Holiday Inn is truly one of the nicer hotels around. The atmosphere and views were fantastic, and the friendly, service-oriented staff are definitely the hotel’s biggest asset. They don’t just handle bookings but also share helpful suggestions to make your stay more meaningful.
I booked the hotel at the very last minute and checked in around 1:45 am. The receptionist who attended to me was very sweet and helpful. She even allowed a late checkout, though I checked out at 11:45 am to head back to Singapore early and avoid the traffic at the causeway. She also recommended great food options and interesting places nearby.
Overall, my wife and I had a wonderful stay and truly appreciated the warm hospitality.
