The place is in a very convenient location. Facilities are a little old. Buffet is very good. I had a trouble with the card to enter to room and the receptionist imply I didn't know how to use it I had to go twice because of that it happen 3 times during my stay of 3 nights. The cards are obsolete if they said that those inactivate when electric devises such cellphones or earphones are near. But breakfast is very good.

The hotel is in a good location, a five-minute walk from the subway station. There are supermarkets and several coffee shops nearby, as well as a sushi restaurant. There is a little more traffic nearby, so it can be a little noisy at night and early in the morning.

🌟 Outstanding Stay at Amalia Hotel Athens 🌟 The Amalia Hotel Athens is in an excellent location—right in the center, with easy access to major sightseeing spots and many great food options. It is definitely the best choice in Athens, offering comfort at a very reasonable price. What made our stay truly memorable was the outstanding staff: Mrs. Kalliopi (Front Desk Receptionist) – She warmly upgraded our room, recommended some of the best dining experiences in Athens, and even made reservations for us. Her professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine care made us feel so welcome. Ms. Irini Pasalidou (Housekeeping) – She kept our room spotless, replaced towels and toiletries promptly, and greeted us every morning with a smile. Her dedication, efficiency, and kindness made us feel right at home. Breakfast Team: Stavros & Marilena – Their smiles and attentive service brightened each morning. Stavros always served fresh orange juice as soon as we sat down, while Marilena ensured the buffet was well stocked and the tables were clean. Their dedication and hard work made breakfast a delightful experience. Because of these wonderful team members, our visit to Athens was exceptionally enjoyable and comfortable. We will gladly recommend Amalia Hotel Athens to our friends and look forward to returning soon. Joyce Yeung

Modern, neat and clean hotel. Very decent sized rooms and well equipped with everything that you would need. Free pickups to and from the airport. Location wise. Apart from the proximity of the airport, there is nothing that you can do around here. Everything is about 25 minutes away towards the city. Food at the restaurant is as good but the chicken breast that we ordered was very dry and as it got colder, it started getting stringy. Fish and chips was good. In the room, mini bar, tea and coffee and good amenities. The shower is placed in an odd place being across the bath tub so it was a bit confined. Apart from that, all was as good as it gets. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting for a short stay or transferring.

AAlison’s Silk Road Travels 2025.09.02
The Candia hotel was a very short and easy walk with a lot of luggage from the train station. I was able to check in an hour earlier than they state in the information and the receptionists were very helpful. The hotel is a short walk to the underground station in Thessaloniki from there it was a short train ride ( very exciting if you get a front seat) to all the museums and centre. The room at Candia was very large with a big bathroom and was very comfy, clean and relaxing. There are shutters in the windows that was good for the mornings. Nd the sun did not wake me up! Breakfast was amazing with a wide variety of hot and cold food. I especially liked the fruit and yoghurts with an array of extra bits for healthy toppings. The swimming pool was lively and I had fun in the sun. There were plenty of staff to help there and make my stay fabulous. The views from the top of the hotel were great and I wished I’d taken some images! Thessaloniki has a lot to offer travellers who enjoy culture, which is why I chose to stay there.

This gem of a hotel in the port is fantastic. Tasteful furnished, roomy and very clean it has everything you need to a stay before boarding a cruise. We arrived very late at night and were greeted warmly and were checked in in no time. The WiFi is free and fast and the included buffet breakfast was very welcome. I would certainly stay again if I was boarding a cruise which is just a short walk away.

The hotel is about 5 min from the metro station Omonia. However, it is probably not the safest place to walk around. The staffs are always busy among themselves so it is quite challenging to ask for help. The elevators are quite small. Although there are more than one elevators, they are not very visible. The selection of the breakfast is surprisingly good. The room design is a little weird. The bathroom and the toilet are separated, while the handwash basin is outside near the bed.

Hotel location is impeccable, just near Constitution Square, good security, you can walk to all the main attractions! Hotel facilities are relatively new, the staff is warm and thoughtful, although the breakfast style is not changed every day, but the quality of the meal is very good and the quality is solid. The fly in the ointment is that the hotel has the first day to send mineral water. We stayed for 4 nights and there was no mineral water for the next three days. Because locals are used to drinking faucet water and the room is equipped with a coffee machine, they do not specially prepare a kettle, if you want to drink hot water, hot tea, you can use the coffee machine to boil water.

Very good location, close to everything, only 200 metres to Metro, good for family very roomy and cozy can accommodate up to 4 people with kitchen facilities including cooktop, toaster and microwave etc. the drawback is the shower screen in two panels and can’t close properly so the water will come out though making complaint to reception but can’t do anything due to design defects. However they did change the room for my friends who made a serious complaint with the one panel glass door shower.

Everything was perfect! We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The receptionist, Andreas, guided us very well, and his valuable advice was a great help. The rooftop restaurant was also beautiful, and the food there was excellent. We were served by Danaé, a wonderful and very helpful person. Of course, these compliments go out to all the staff at the establishment. Thank you again, and we will definitely be back!

ぱぱぱラッチI stayed for 3 nights on a business trip. You can walk to the Pardenon Temple and the New Acropolis Museum. There are also many Greek restaurants nearby and the location is excellent. The receptionist at the hotel was also friendly. The breakfast restaurant space is by no means large, but you can enjoy your meal slowly in a calm atmosphere. The size of the room can also be spent slowly in a reasonable space. It was good that the shower was hydraulic pressure, but it was a pity that there was no bathtub plug and I couldn't put it in the bathtub. The elevator was retro and the atmosphere was good, but the movement was slow. It's the opposite of a modern hotel, but I think it's a very good hotel to spend a relaxing time in a historic hotel in Europe.

GGuest UserMiraMe has the BEST shower we have ever experienced. THE BEST SHOWER! It comes with four different ' heads ' and the water pressure is extremely powerful so taking a shower after a hot day in Athens was an absolute joy. Usually the rainshower found in most hotels is weak, but MiraMe's jets are very forceful and steady water temperature. The other three ' heads ' are one for the chest, one for the butt and one for the legs. Then there is also one separate hand held shower head on the side. The shower room is spacious and drainage is smooth, and the door seals perfect so there is no worry of a leak. We cannot claim to be hotel experts but for the 30+ odd years of travelling and having stayed in over 60 hotels in many cities, we can vow loud and clear that MiraMe has really sourced the BEST shower model, and other hotels, even other leading hotels in the world should dump theirs and change them into MiraMe's. Locationwise, MiraMe also is very good. The main shopping districts are just 10 mins walk away where you can find famous brands as well as plenty of shoe shops. In the area are major bus stops , great variety of restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlours, pharmacies and other nice hotels. The room we had booked is ' deluxe family room with balcony ' that has a short flight of stairs leading to an attic for the 3rd person. It is a nice nook up there for some privacy with a bed and a sofa and an individual air con that provides a comfy temp. The balcony is small and not much view so we hardly used it. Breakfast is provided up on the rooftop bar cum lounge, where a young staff manned the place and served freshly made breakfast cooked to each guest's order every morning. The rooftop has a nice open view of the Acropolis and has very nice updated music that is cool but not too loud and wild. They also have a bar on the G/F serving drinks. The staff are all young and pleasant, polite and helpful and they try their best to help with restaurant bookings and recommendations etc. MiraMe is a clean and modern boutique hotel that provides sufficient toiletries to make the stay comfy and carefree. Housekeeping is discreet and the bedding is all clean and white, bath and hand towels and floors and things we touch are basically clean. Again, we cannot praise enough their wonderful shower that has to be the BEST in the whole world. The hotel is in a quiet street but in a very safe neighbourhood, so even if you return late everyone feels very secure and safe.

AAlexandraI traveled to Athens for a business reason. The room was in the center, spacious near shops for coffee and food. It provides paid parking right next to it, so you don't have to look for a place. The service is amazing and the staff is very kind!! I would definitely choose it again!!!

GGuest UserI was impressed with this hotel for the price I paid. Very centralised, with the metro station right there. Restaurants, shops, supermarkets only steps away. The hotel itself is very comfortable. Though my room was a bit small, it’s all you need. Lots of pillows on the bed. Fluffy towels, and all the great amenities. They give you everything you need, and then some. Free water as well. The breakfast was copious. So much choices. I love the terrace. There are jacuzzis on the terrace! I also ate at the restaurant, which as very good. The staff are very friendly. The deco is cool as well. I’ll come back next time I’m in Athens.

MMaoshaI stayed here for two nights and overall had a very nice experience. The flat is spacious, modern, and feels brand new. All the facilities are clean and well organized. We booked just an hour before check-in, so there was a slight delay while we contacted the company to get the access code. It was a bit of a hassle, but if you arrive a day earlier or book in advance, it should be much smoother. That said, there were a few issues worth noting. The pillows were quite high and uncomfortable, which made it difficult for us to sleep well. Some parts of the lighting system weren’t working properly, and both bathroom drains had issues — by the last night, there was a strong unpleasant smell coming from them. The location is another factor to consider. It’s quite far from the city center, and the surrounding neighborhood feels very local and underdeveloped. While that can be a plus if you’re looking for a more authentic, residential area, there aren’t many good restaurants or attractions nearby. We had to rely on taxis to get around, so it’s not the most convenient place if you’re hoping to explore the city easily.

GGuest UserWe got the junior suite for our family of 4. The room was quite spacious and the kids loved the jacuzzi bathtub. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Service was excellent. Location was also great with the subway just outside. The view of Athens from the rooftop was also awesome
a great way to end our stay at Athens being able to see all the places we visited. The only issue I had was with the parking. While the hotel has parking, lots are limited and was full when we arrived. I had to find street parking. The first night, I was lucky and found one quite quickly and only about 6mins walk from the hotel. The second night, I took close to an hour to find parking. There was paid 24hr parking across the street but they couldn’t accommodate our larger car. The only other slight problem with our room was that the wind would hit against the door early in the morning when other people where checking out
as ours was a corner unit. It sounded like someone was slamming on our door and it woke me up. Took me awhile to figure out the rapping on the door was caused by the wind and not some prankster.

GGuest UserWe booked our stay at Emporikon for just one night in Athens and we were disappointed to find that where we were staying was not the hotel we booked. We arrived at the address for Emporikon (the one pictured on the website where we booked) and they told us that they did not have a reservation for us and we were probably in the other building. The woman walked us over to the other building a block away (on a somewhat deserted alley rather than the bustling street of the actual hotel we booked). They did have our room there but we had booked a “triple room with a view” and what we received was a room with one bed (a full I think) and absolutely no view. The room was very small, overlooked a bar that was extremely loud until 2am. The toilet also did not flush—we had to essentially take it apart and flush four different ways to make it work. There was a smart TV, but it had no access to any Chanels and would not accept any of our U.S. streaming app accounts. The hotel we booked was a beautiful historic building and that was just not what this new building was. The location on the map and the wifi name were  a different hotel “Anasa.” There was a sign outside that said “new Emporikon building” which did make us feel that at least we were not being kidnapped, but it is very concerning that we booked one thing and received something entirely different. That is just not how a contract works. We should have at least been told it would be a different room than we paid for.
