"I had a very pleasant stay at Courtyard by Marriott Fukui. The hotel's location is excellent, just a short walk from the station, making it very convenient for getting around and exploring the area. The room was spacious, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. I appreciated the modern design and the attention to detail in maintaining the room. The combination of the convenient location, generous room size, and high standards of cleanliness made for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Fukui and would stay here again."

"Front office counter staff are friendly and helpful. Although there are only two staff from Nepal can speak some simple English. Buffets breakfast priced at 1800 Japanese yen is value for money! Rooms are big and comfortable with space for big luggage. Hotel amenities are amazing. You even have choices of pillows! Front office duty manager Mr Oka-san was super helpful. He took the initiative to print out the train timetable for us without us asking ! I was truly impressed!"

"This was by far the best hotel I've ever stayed at! It's a beautiful hotel with a 'Japanese' theme, and every corner was meticulously maintained. When checking in, a staff member pleasantly offered to wipe the wheels of my suitcase because the floors were tatami, which was a nice touch. There were so many free amenities, it was amazing! There was a massage chair, manga (which you could take to your room), Yakult and ice cream after your bath, and even late-night soba noodles! You could also get ice in paper cups, so I could chill drinks from the vending machine next door. What I particularly loved was the cold pillow! Pillowcases and ice pillows were available outside the changing room, and I brought one to my room to use while sleeping. I had such a good night's sleep! You could also watch subscription services in the room (this was paid). The breakfast was delicious too... Honestly, everything was perfect! The bath area was also lovely, with wind chimes softly jingling, and the sauna smelled great. The shower was a ReFa, and the hairdryer was a Kinujo... (Incidentally, I was so impressed that I bought a ReFa shower head for my own home after I got back!) Everything I've ever wished for in a hotel was here! It was so good that I'm already planning my next trip specifically to stay at another 'Nono' series Dormy Inn hotel! The hotel is now the destination itself! Thank you so much! It made for a wonderful trip!"

"The room was exactly the Japanese-style room I had imagined, very comfortable. The balcony had a washbasin, which was convenient for larger groups. The onsen (hot spring) was fantastic. Complimentary drinks were served in the evenings, and you could comfortably relax in the lobby. There were three discount stores opposite the hotel, perfect for those who wanted to do some shopping."

"The hotel's location near the JR station is very convenient, and there's a department store right next door. The hotel itself is quite new and the room facilities are excellent. What I love most about the Dormy Inn group are their hot spring facilities and their thoughtful breakfast selection. This particular location feels just as good as Onyado Nono."

"I stayed here on my first trip to Fukui. It was super convenient to get around, being so close to the station. The hotel had a bit of a retro vibe, and I noticed a lot of business-type guests. I used the public bath, and pretty much had the whole place to myself! Though I did have to run back to my room for a towel, as there weren't any provided there. 😂 Having restaurants and souvenir shops right connected to the station was also really handy."

"Very good hot spring hotel, first-class service facilities, friendly staff, although the room is a bit old, but clean and comfortable. The Japanese-style room is very beautiful. The one I stayed in had a private open-air bath, which was very beautiful! On the day I stayed there, we were the only Chinese, and the other customers I saw were all Japanese. The hotel staff were very polite and friendly to foreigners! English speaking staff! Although the price is a bit expensive, it's worth it! The location is about an 8-minute drive from JR Aragatsu Onsen Station, and a taxi is not expensive. The hotel has a dedicated bus shuttle, just book it on the official website. There's not much to do around here. The buffet has a rich variety of food and drinks. But we only have 90 minutes to eat, it would be better if we could have 120 minutes. If you do not choose the buffet, you can choose the Kaiseki cuisine. You can drink as much as you want in the room, including Japanese sake, beer and juice. All in all, I would stay here again. "

"Comfortable stay and slept well on the Simmons bed. Love the onsen too and free ice cream and probiotic drink after the onsen. There's also free supper - ramen after 9.30pm. However, do note that the hotel is located a bit farther away from the station."

"Our stay at this heritage hotel, which consists of beautifully renovated old houses scattered throughout a charming town, was a unique and mostly pleasant experience. The facilities and room amenities were excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed the local atmosphere and the authentic dining options nearby. However, as a Michelin-recommended establishment, there is significant room for improvement regarding communication and attention to detail. 1. Repetitive and Inefficient Communication: After booking through an OTA (Ctrip), we received multiple calls from agents asking the same questions (arrival time, dietary restrictions, gender for amenities). Despite answering these repeatedly, it became clear that the information was either not recorded or not transmitted to the hotel staff. 2. Critical Lapse in Dietary Requirements: Our most serious concern involved a severe dairy allergy. We informed the OTA agents multiple times and even sent two separate emails directly via the hotel’s official website to ensure the message was received. Unfortunately, the hotel never replied to our emails, and upon arrival, the staff claimed they had no record of our request. Consequently, dairy-containing dishes were served to the allergic guest during the first meal. 3. Resolution: While the issue was eventually resolved and the second day went smoothly, the lack of coordination between the hotel, the booking agent, and the hotel’s own email system was frustrating. For a hotel of this caliber, one expects a seamless flow of information—especially regarding guest safety and allergies. Conclusion: Everything else about the hotel was wonderful, but these service ”softwares” are what separate a good hotel from a truly great one. "I highly recommend this hotel as everything from the food to the hot springs and service was extremely comfortable. There's a morning market starting at 6am where you can buy souvenirs, and they even clear the snow away when it snows. You can make your own hot spring eggs before taking a bath and enjoy them afterwards. The only thing I noticed is that the shoes in the hotel are geta sandals rather than slippers, but they can be a challenge for people with large feet, so it's best to check"
