4-Star Hotels in Okayama Prefecture, Japan

"The real experience of Kurashiki Royal Art Hotel is located between Kurashiki JR Station and the beautiful scenic area. It is close to both places and it is very convenient to travel. As soon as you enter the hotel, there is a very high lobby space, and the light is bright and comfortable. We stayed in a room with a 270-degree view. The room area is relatively large in Japan and is a very good experience."

"In terms of traditional Japanese-style hotels, the point of this hotel is really nothing to say. It is very suitable for experiencing the Edo scenery of Kurashiki. You can take a walk and take pictures and go shopping directly out of the hotel in the evening. It is highly recommended to come here, be sure to stay for a day to experience it. And the men who served at the evening counter were very enthusiastic about the hotel's architecture and history. They also invited us to the banquet reception room on the second floor, and were shocked by the huge wooden beam. Such enthusiasm and hospitality, a wonderful time and a wonderful experience."

"The staff I came came across were all very polite and had welcoming smiles, no matter at the reception desk or the restaurant on 20/F. I enjoyed my stay here, but it felt comparable to the 3 star hotels, just slightly better especially thanks to the fabulous breakfast and location of breakfast…If hotels have half stars, i would think it’s’more of a 3.5 star hotel instead of a 4. I have a few suggestions which the hotel can look into to improve in the future. 3 Things to improve on: 1) I picked this hotel because I read other reviews saying the hotel is connected to a bridge from the Okayama station. This is true but unfortunately there were no signs in the station to guide travellers unlike another hotel like Granvia. Google suggested that I look for the west exit which I did, but I ended up being at the ground level hence had to bring big suitcase all the stairs…then I spotted the bridge and ANA crowne plaza from the street 2) cleanliness can be improved. There’s a UCC drip coffee machine in the room. I don’t drink coffee, and the box for the drip coffee selection was refilled. However I spotted a used capsule on the floor near the wall. The bin was not blocking the view, so the cleaners could’ve easily spotted the rubbish if they had been a little more careful and looked under the table when they have to clear out the rubbish bin anyway. 3) I sent a message to the hotel via TRIP.com. The message wasn’t replied promptly, as in within a few hours. Ultimately it didn’t matter anymore, I arrived at the hotel before somebody managed to reply me. Maybe it’s the system that’s problematic which may have caused a lag? Or staff only look at mails/messages when not too busy at the front desk?"

"This hotel is genuinely great. There's a dedicated passage directly from the JR station to the hotel, so you don't even need an umbrella if it's raining. Dining is incredibly convenient too; there are all sorts of restaurants in the commercial area right downstairs, from ramen to coffee. Everything is perfect!"

"The location of the hotel is incredible! It is just beside the main station exit. The place was in pristine condition, very spacious and the staff extremely polite. The only down side is that it doesn't have a restaurant in which you could have breakfast. There are alot of great places to eat nearby but that would be a bonus."

"I really love the location as it’s next to the Uno port, easy with my two luggages after I traveled the islands. I love the onsen with very good restaurants and massage inside!! 🥰🍱 After onsen and dinner, I still can see stars ✨ and the big moon 🌙 artwork in front of the closed gallery aisle, walking back to hotel! I wrongly booked the shared dorm but it’s surprisingly neat, clean, spacious and friendly with all amenity plus the open-bar of different tea!! Loving it!! 🥰 The breakfast is at the dinner restaurant, the set is in very nice in design!! Next time I would try to stay in the room with open patio or camping next door!! The tourist centre and train station are just next door, or I can just rent a bike to browse around for udon and coffee ☕️…. I’d see more galleries and islands when staying in Uno port next time, after I get bored with staying in Takamatsu port! Highly recommend this hotel when traveling with family and friends!! 🥰❤️🙌🏻love!!"

"For my first visit to the Setouchi Triennale in Japan, my friends and I spent the first two nights at this bicycle race-themed hotel in Uno. It's conveniently located near the port. The hotel is quite large, boasting a vibrant design. Although the rooms are compact, they are full of character. It's well-equipped and even has a designated public smoking area."

"The location is great. Unfortunately, it was raining so we couldn't take a walk in the museum garden. They provided umbrellas which was helpful. It was a very cold day so it would have been nice to have a large public bath. Overall, it was very good."

"The overall cleanliness of the hotel is perfect. The mattress and duvet of the hotel are very comfortable and clean full marks We are driving over to the hotel staff at the door to meet  have five-star enjoyment ,  hot spring is also very hot and clean, 2 meals service is full score, and dinner food has room for improvement,  breakfast options, not much room for improvement, maybe because of winter, many shops near the hotel have been closed early, we came to this hotel is around 3:30, then very convenient to visit Law Hill City. Our stay was also the wedding anniversary the hotel was very attentive to give us a small gift thank you 👍"
