4-Star Hotels in Okayama Prefecture, Japan

"The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the train station and surrounded by malls. Takashimaya and Aeon's large supermarket are nearby, with department stores on the upper floors of the supermarket. The 6th and 7th floors are full of restaurants, well worth exploring for a meal. The station itself also has a huge food hall, and on the B level, there are several large drugstores, making shopping very convenient. There's also a Lawson convenience store near the hotel, which is super handy. The hotel environment is quite good, generally quiet and tidy. There's even a large public bath on the top floor; after a tiring day of shopping, a soak there can really relieve fatigue, and there are self-service massage chairs next to it. The front desk staff were very friendly, warm, and polite. They even kindly helped us call a taxi to the airport, which we really appreciated. We'd definitely stay here again if we have the chance."

"In terms of traditional Japanese-style hotels, the point of this hotel is really nothing to say. It is very suitable for experiencing the Edo scenery of Kurashiki. You can take a walk and take pictures and go shopping directly out of the hotel in the evening. It is highly recommended to come here, be sure to stay for a day to experience it. And the men who served at the evening counter were very enthusiastic about the hotel's architecture and history. They also invited us to the banquet reception room on the second floor, and were shocked by the huge wooden beam. Such enthusiasm and hospitality, a wonderful time and a wonderful experience."

"Family comes with 4 beds (instead of 2 as indicated in trip.com description). Room is pretty spacious, bed is a bit hard and bathroom is a bit narrow, but overall still comfortable. Location is good, walking distance to JR stations, Aeon with good varieties of food at the food court. Near to big camera, animate, donki and lots of shopping options at Aeon too. Will definitely stay here again."

"The staff I came came across were all very polite and had welcoming smiles, no matter at the reception desk or the restaurant on 20/F. I enjoyed my stay here, but it felt comparable to the 3 star hotels, just slightly better especially thanks to the fabulous breakfast and location of breakfast…If hotels have half stars, i would think it’s’more of a 3.5 star hotel instead of a 4. I have a few suggestions which the hotel can look into to improve in the future. 3 Things to improve on: 1) I picked this hotel because I read other reviews saying the hotel is connected to a bridge from the Okayama station. This is true but unfortunately there were no signs in the station to guide travellers unlike another hotel like Granvia. Google suggested that I look for the west exit which I did, but I ended up being at the ground level hence had to bring big suitcase all the stairs…then I spotted the bridge and ANA crowne plaza from the street 2) cleanliness can be improved. There’s a UCC drip coffee machine in the room. I don’t drink coffee, and the box for the drip coffee selection was refilled. However I spotted a used capsule on the floor near the wall. The bin was not blocking the view, so the cleaners could’ve easily spotted the rubbish if they had been a little more careful and looked under the table when they have to clear out the rubbish bin anyway. 3) I sent a message to the hotel via TRIP.com. The message wasn’t replied promptly, as in within a few hours. Ultimately it didn’t matter anymore, I arrived at the hotel before somebody managed to reply me. Maybe it’s the system that’s problematic which may have caused a lag? Or staff only look at mails/messages when not too busy at the front desk?"

"This hotel is a bit older but still comfortable. The rooms are much larger than standard, though the soundproofing isn't great. The location is excellent, right near the entrance to the Kurashiki Canal, and there's plenty of parking. The staff were very helpful with directions. Breakfast wasn't particularly varied."

"The room is clean and comfortable, and the Seto Inner Bridge can be clearly seen outside the window, with beautiful scenery! The open-air outdoor hot spring on the top floor can also enjoy the scenery of the Seto Inner Sea Bridge while soaking. Although it is relatively windy, it is still a very unforgettable experience! Wake up the next morning in the room to watch the sunrise, super! Dinner is a buffet form, a wide variety of food, delicious, exquisite and beautiful! I will definitely stay in Okayama again next time!"

"The location of the hotel is incredible! It is just beside the main station exit. The place was in pristine condition, very spacious and the staff extremely polite. The only down side is that it doesn't have a restaurant in which you could have breakfast. There are alot of great places to eat nearby but that would be a bonus."

"The overall cleanliness of the hotel is perfect. The mattress and duvet of the hotel are very comfortable and clean full marks We are driving over to the hotel staff at the door to meet  have five-star enjoyment ,  hot spring is also very hot and clean, 2 meals service is full score, and dinner food has room for improvement,  breakfast options, not much room for improvement, maybe because of winter, many shops near the hotel have been closed early, we came to this hotel is around 3:30, then very convenient to visit Law Hill City. Our stay was also the wedding anniversary the hotel was very attentive to give us a small gift thank you 👍"

"My stay at Setouchi Keirin Hotel 10 was one of the highlights of my trip. The view of the Sea from the room was absolutely stunning—peaceful and beautiful both in the morning and at sunset. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the design felt modern and minimal. The staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service. The location is also very convenient, especially for visiting Naoshima, as it is close to Uno Port. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus to and from the port, which made traveling even easier. Overall, it’s a perfect place to relax and unwind. I would definitely stay here again!”"
