Everything was great apart from a little bit of construction noise in the early days. Great location in Tamel, on a quiet street away from the noise of the city. The staff were as friendly and friendly as possible and responded to any request. Free airport transfer is a convenient addition to stay at this hotel. Breakfasts are not very diverse, but satisfying, however, I did not have enough vegetables. Hotel manager Sachin arranged for us the mountain flight at a cost lower than the travel agencies and even the airline itself offered, with transfers from the hotel and back after flight. Great place for this cost. Thanks!
The location of the hotel is very good, within walking distance to the square, and the breakfast is very good. There is no air conditioning in the entire hotel, please note. When I made a reservation on Ctrip, I saw that the payment method was credit card. In the end, the front desk said that I could only pay in cash, so I contacted Ctrip. Throughout the process, Ctrip customer service said that the agent would contact the hotel. No one answered the phone at the hotel front desk, so I sat at the front desk the whole time. I asked for the hotel phone number and sent it to Ctrip. Ctrip said that the agent would Shang said no one answered, and the front desk clerk was scrolling through Tik Tok the entire time. I negotiated with the hotel and checked in the next day before paying. During this period, I contacted Ctrip but the agent was still unable to contact the hotel. Later, I communicated with the hotel man by myself and took me to another hotel on a motorcycle, swiped my card and paid the room fee. I reported to Ctrip, and Ctrip said that I would be refunded 150 yuan. The above situation is true. I'm just stating the facts. The hotel is good, recommended to stay.
A brand new hotel with all kind of comfortable fertilities to make you staying easy and chill. Great location, sitting between the airport and the Pashupatinath Temple, both in 10 mins walk. It’s not far from the main road but also very quiet. I would stay here again next time.
Lakhey Hotel is an excellent choice in Kathmandu, perfectly balancing a great location with fantastic services. Its position just a short walk from the bustling Thamel district means you're close to shopping and dining, yet the hotel itself remains quiet. The on-site Sichuan Chinese Restaurant serves authentic, flavorful dishes, while the varied breakfast buffet with multiple cuisines gets consistent praise. A major standout is the integrated travel service; the hotel runs its own travel agency, making it incredibly easy to book tours, transportation, and tickets right from the lobby. Coupled with exceptionally friendly, multilingual staff (including Chinese speakers), it offers a seamless and comfortable stay.recommend for everyone
Love this hotel. Walk to the terminal. Walk from the terminal. Great coffee shops and local food right underneath the hotel. Good view of the entire city from the rooftop. I’ve been returning for 8 years. Stable staff for years!

Excellent location with many eateries right at doorstep. There is a Chinese restaurant in the hotel and serves excellent and delicious food. There is also a cafe at the lobby
The room was superb
I slept through the night especially after a long week of trekking
The only downside is there is no smart TV and everything on the screen is Chinese. Best part is there is a washing machine at higher floor where guest can washed their dirty hiking laundry.
Cleanliness of hotel:8/10
The hotel is conveniently located about 6 kilometers from Kathmandu International Airport, a 15-minute taxi ride if traffic is not heavy. Every staff member was incredibly nice and friendly, treating guests with great hospitality. Their genuine smiles were truly touching and memorable. The hotel is clean, and the rooms are small but comfortable. The Nepali breakfast was delicious. The gym and swimming pool are spacious. Overall, I had a wonderful trip.

The hotel experience was great; the hygiene was excellent, and the restroom was clean and spacious. The breakfast menu changed daily, offering a rich variety of options. Plus, the surrounding area has everything you could need: supermarkets, shopping, restaurants, and chill bars, making it super convenient for getting around.
Nice, clean rooms, big comfy bed and pillows. Shower was okay. Water did not get hot, lukewarm at best and refrigerator was not cold at all, I almost thought it was broken. Food was good if you stick to Nepali and Indian food options, but lassis were watered down. Drinks were also not cold. Most of the staff were really friendly and helpful, but I had two instances that really turned me off. They have a free buffet breakfast, but if you opt to skip it, they call you very early in the morning to ask if you're coming or not. This disturbed my sleep several times until I asked them to stop. Today was also my last day here and although check out is at 3pm, I received a call from reception at 10:30am asking when I'd be leaving. He informed me that a big group would be arriving and told me that the check out time was noon, when it was clearly stated otherwise online. He asked if I'd be staying another night instead as if I was bartering to not be pushed out of my room before check out time, when I was right. I've never had such an experience before and have traveled all over the world. Such a lack of professionalism and tact. That is not how you treat guests at a 4 star hotel. Not recommending this hotel to anyone!
Great location for everything in Kathmandu. Sunset viewing on the rooftop is topnotch. Breakfast buffet was also satisfying, variety changing daily. Perhaps the only complain I could say is about the airconditioning unit in our room. From time to time it creates a sound like it was going to fall from the wall.

RRay kosasihPleasant stay with great location, but bathroom needs improvement
We stayed here for a few nights and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel is in a very good location, just a short walk to the Thamel area, so it was easy to explore without needing taxis. The room was clean, and the breakfast buffet had complete selections, with some dishes rotating daily.
However, we did encounter an issue with the bathroom floor. The tiles in the bathroom were the same as those in the bedroom area, and as a result, the floor became extremely slippery when wet. My wife even slipped once while taking a shower. It would be much safer if the hotel installed proper bathroom flooring. The toilet spray was also positioned awkwardly on the left side, and the toilet seat felt loose, which affected comfort.
Our original king room wasn’t ready at the 2 PM check-in time, but the staff offered us the option to check in immediately with a twin room, which we accepted. Throughout our stay, the staff were friendly and very helpful. When my wife requested help to switch the air-conditioner to heater mode, they sent someone right away and even provided an extra portable heater, which we really appreciated.
We were granted a late check-out until 2 PM, and because our flight was late at night, we extended the stay until 6:30 PM for an additional USD 30+. This was convenient for us.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay with great staff and location. The only major area that needs attention is the bathroom design and safety, which should be improved for better comfort.
AAussie HelenAfter several trips to Nepal, I finally decided to treat myself with a stay at the famous Kathmandu Guest House. So glad I did. So much peace, grace, charm and beauty .. and of course, the history!

GGuest UserNice hotel, and friendly staff. Unfortunately I booked a car to the airport through the hotel, that charged me more than double the usual price, which is ok, I agreed to it. However, once arrived to the airport the driver asked me to pay again, it seemed he was not aware of my payment, and to avoid discussions I paid him again

RRay kosasihGood Location, Some Service Issues
The hotel has a great location, only a short walk from the Thamel area, so we didn’t need to take a taxi to explore the surroundings.
However, our room was very cold during our stay because the heating system was under maintenance. We called reception, and they kindly provided extra blankets, but it was still inconvenient. Temperatures at night and early morning were around 4–12°C, so we felt cold throughout our stay.
We also experienced issues with the laundry service. The first laundry was fine, although we needed to call twice to have it delivered to our room. The second laundry was problematic. We were told it was completed and would be delivered soon, but even 20 minutes before checkout, it hadn’t arrived. When we asked again at reception, they informed us the laundry actually hadn’t been done due to a mistake. In the end, they offered to finish it and deliver it to our next hotel and waived all laundry charges, which we appreciated.
On a positive note, breakfast was nice, and they had a good rotation of menu options each day.
Overall, the location and breakfast were great, but the heating issue and laundry miscommunication affected our experience.
Iibike ihike iroam iswim iflyThe stay was great, to say the least. We actually decided to extend our as our plans changed and looked no further. The staff were very flexible with our late night flight and the ensuing late check-out and assisted us price-wiae.
The hotel is truly a boutique one.
Breakfast is nice. We didn't need much anyway, so for us, it was much more than we needed. There is a slight variation on a daily basis.
The cleaning lady cleans the room impeccably on a daily basis. In general, if you need anything, the staff are accommodating and always ready to help.
Locatio- wise, the hotel is somewhat further away from the noise of Thamel and other touristy areas but close enough to places of interest.
Last but not least, we arrived later than scheduled, so the meet and greet service , which came free, was super handy.

GGuest UserThe room and area was good, but I experienced a scam provided by the receptionist.
I have consulted the tour advice with the reception, the guy provided me an excellent two-day rafting package that called by a tourist agent.
In the tour, that was a disaster, the tour only half-day with 1/3 distance of his presented tour.
The cost he charged me is almost 5 times of the normal price in internet. I would prefer that should be a very special tour and different from I found in internet.
That was totally scam and waste my time and money, it was extremely affect my plan and mood. I would report this experience to the concerned parties. It really a shame of Nepalese.
DD2325****The location is good. You can go shopping downstairs. It is not far from the airport (Nepal's transportation is not that fast, so it takes about half an hour). It is a very good hotel for the local area, equivalent to the domestic Four Seasons or Kaiyuan Hotel
