"From the very first minute, I felt warmly welcomed: the friendly reception and the quick check-in set the tone for a thoroughly relaxing stay. The menu was a delight—I was particularly impressed by my favorite ingredients, chicken and char, lovingly prepared and incredibly flavorful. My room with a lake view was simply wonderful: spacious, with beautiful wooden floors, high ceilings, and a very pleasant bathroom with a shower. The bed was extremely comfortable, and there were plenty of pillows, ensuring restful nights. When the lake is calm and the other guests have left, the hotel feels like a truly special, peaceful place. One minor drawback: the restaurant feels a bit like a dining hall to me and doesn't quite have the same cozy atmosphere as the rest of the hotel. Overall, though, a very enjoyable stay—I'd love to come back!"

"The rooms at Hotel Retterath are extremely modern and comfortable. The host Ralf is extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble for him to ensure that you have a good stay. Continental breakfast is on offer with eggs cooked to order if you would like. The hotel is 5 minutes from the 'Ring' and there is no excess noise from outside when trying to sleep. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel if you are visiting the track or not"

"We were allowed to be guests for 2 nights and we felt very well. Friendship and service were just great. Our (standard) room was in the 3rd OG, was very quiet and perfect for us. It is also a great breakfast to be highlighted. The only (small) criticism is the fact that the corners of the rooms were fabrics in the whole house. There should be more or more cleaned, it is simply not beautiful to look."

"We visited the restaurant "The Pahl". Very warm greetings by the chef of the house. As a pre-food we got a spargelcrémesuppe on the house. Card is very short and changes regularly. Eating is very rich and absolutely delicious. The service is excellent."

"Restaurant & Hotel Ruland is located in the centre of Altenahr and offers German cuisine. Furnishings and decoration provide a welcoming character. Food is good and service is adequate & friendly. We came on a weekday and the restaurant was busy, a good sign. The menu of Ruland is traditional. We went for Trout Müllerin with Potatoes & Salad, and Pasta with Chanterelles, accompanied by a Grauburgunder. Both dishes were tasty and the wine was nice. Recommended."
