"This is a modern hotel in a quiet and beautiful location but some distance from Ella town. Generally good, clean and well organised however the standard (budget) rooms are rather small. There is a beautiful infinity swimming pool. There is also a viewing point on the top floor to see the sunrise. Staff were good and attentive."

"We found this beautiful place throug social media, and honestly it was even better than we expected🙏🙏 Andriyala looks exactly same like the photos, even more beautiful in real life. The surroundings are so peaceful and relaxing, perfect for a couplee. Rooms were clean and comfy, views are just amazing, and the staff were very friendly and helpful all the time. Really happy we discovered this place for our honeymoon 🙏 Would love to come again for sure."

"We booked Ridge View Hotel for one night during our trip to Nuwara Eliya, expecting a comfortable place to rest. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, the staff member at Upper flow asked, “What are you looking for?” which gave us the impression that our reservation had not been properly noted. We had already paid an advance payment as requested by the hotel. Our first disappointment was the lack of parking facilities. The second and most concerning issue was the cleanliness of the room. The room was very untidy, with dust visible throughout, which was unacceptable. Within half an hour of checking in, I raised these concerns with the hotel owner. We were offered an upgrade to a deluxe room, but only if we paid an additional LKR 2,000. Since the condition of the room did not meet our expectations, we decided to leave the hotel instead. When requesting a refund of our advance payment, the hotel refused to return the full amount. Only LKR 1,000 was refunded, while the remaining balance was withheld. Overall, this experience negatively affected our trip. Customer service should be more professional, polite, and efficient, and greater attention should be given to cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this hotel to our friends or family."

"First of all, the breakfast was very delicious. It was a good idea to ask for a Sri Lankan style breakfast. I think the female staff member is a very good cook. They make fresh, hot meals every time. The location is a bit of a walk, but it's not a problem at all. The room is clean and spacious, and the shower is solid. I'm surprised that the price is so low. You can also see the morning sun from your room window. All the staff are also kind. I would definitely like to visit again when I come to Sri Lanka."

"The location is excellent. It's within walking distance of a street with restaurants. There's a supermarket and laundry shop nearby, which was very convenient. There's a slight incline, but it's paved and there's no soil erosion, so it's fine even on rainy days. However, some of the alleys are narrow, so you need to be careful when entering and exiting by car. The room was clean, and even though the outside temperature was low, the shower water pressure and temperature were perfect, making for a comfortable stay. The amenities—shampoo, body soap, and a large bath towel—were sufficient. I was very satisfied. They quickly arranged a tuk-tuk to Nine Arches, and the price didn't seem high. It's a good mid-range hotel."

"The welcoming and staff are amazing and so is the dinner; however, the hotel is really far from downtown. My room was small but okay, it had a nice balcony with mountain view. The bathroom is big, but it flooded everytime I took a shower since there is no shower curtains or box. Watch out: the floor becomes very slippery! They did not clean my room or even asked me if I wanted it to be cleaned. I asked them for a silent room (my only request) and the front desk girl gave me a room over the restaurant which means noise started at 6:30am ):"

"We chose jetting Welimada from Google maps as we wanted to stay at a tea plantation, it exceeded all our wishes. We were met by Shiva the butler who. Was at our elbows every inch of our stay, wanting grant our every wish more like a genie. The bungalow situated about 400 yards from the main house was immaculate, well equipped with its own kitchen. Bring your own beer there is a liquor shop on the corner as you turn off the main road and commence the climb. Well signed and we were driving our own Tuk Tuk. A place to sit,read, contemplate and practice your meditation and yoga. The only noise is from the chorus of birds overhead. If the shower is cold there is a switch on the wall to operate the heater, I found it after my first cold shower🥶The chef cooks to order often too much but he and Shiva are a delightful working duo. I would recommend 100%"

"We visited andriyala recently ..the experience was exceptional.. me and my wife chose the room with plunge pool outdoor bathtub and all. Definitely worth the money. The hotel is located very nearby to railway station called diyathawa. So the roads are accessible and no issue with roads very easy to reach.. the reason we choose this hotel is calm environment and we needed a little break from busy town. I think the nearest town is haputhale, the location is located in between Ella and haputhale, very satisfied with the location. And this hotel is very nature friendly. You can see morning birds. Also the foods are reality nice with a good taste. We tried some traditional dishes too. All are flavourful and nicely presented with flowers and candle night. Also they do have floating breakfast options too. Special thanks to the staff because they did great job. Everyone is super friendly and easy to communicate without any barriers, its a plus point. Also they have a common pool as well. We had our own private pool so we used that one. The pool is also spacious and infinity. I would highly recommend this hotel. Definitely come back."

"This is a homestay and not a hotel / motel / guest house. There is no reception. No restaurant. No gym. No lift. Does have stairs to climb. The property is hard to find. The room was smelly / musty on arrival. I needed to keep doors open for a while to air the room. The bathroom did not feel clean. Neither did the bed sheets. A strange noise woke me up around midnight. Breakfast was fresh and one of the nicest I have had. The owners were very obliging and keen to please. However, unfortunately did not meet expectations."

"Stayed overnight at this hotel after a rebooking. The road there is challenging, but the locals are happy to drive up by tuk-tuk or 4x4. Incredibly steep roads. 😅 Beautiful location with stunning views. Rooms are spacious and clean, with balconies. No air conditioning, but a fan. Air conditioning wasn't necessary, given the temperature. Within walking distance of Ella. A shortcut takes you down to the village. The return journey via the same path is steep and quite challenging. Of course, you can also opt for a tuk-tuk. There's plenty to do around Ella, and Ella Red Rock is a great base. Very friendly staff who will help you whenever needed."

"We stayed 3 nights in this hotel with our 2 young kids. Room was clean, bedding comfortable and area really calm (6-8 minutes walking from city center). Staff were nice and accommodating. I have 2 major remarks: - hotel is noisy: you can hear everything (and everyone!) in the other rooms/terrace so if you have a light sleep, bring ear buds or don’t stay here - rooms are missing some shelves, especially in the bathroom were you have no place to put your stuff. Apart for this, this was an enjoyable stay and we recommend this place for your stay in Ella."
