"the location was good. u can see matterhorn clearly but unfortunately there is a big construction crane block some view. On the way to hotel from zermatt station if you follow the google map, it gonna lead u to hard way, very high upslope hill. it will be better if hotel provide u the easy path way to hotel."

"Location – 10/10 Nestled high above Zermatt, the Riffelhaus 1853 is accessible via the Gornergrat railway, making the journey itself an adventure. Once you arrive, you’re greeted by panoramic mountain views in every direction, with the iconic Matterhorn standing proudly in front of you. The setting is perfect for ski-in/ski-out access in winter and stunning hiking trails in summer. Rooms – 9/10 The rooms are cozy, modern, and well-equipped while still maintaining a classic Swiss alpine charm. Many rooms come with Matterhorn views, and waking up to this scenery is an experience in itself. The beds are comfortable, and the rustic wooden decor gives a warm, welcoming feel. Some rooms have balconies, which I highly recommend booking for the full experience. Service – 9/10 The staff is friendly, professional, and attentive. Despite the hotel’s remote location, the service is top-notch, with staff going out of their way to accommodate special requests. From seamless check-in to helpful local recommendations, they make the stay even more special. Dining – 8.5/10 The on-site restaurant serves delicious Swiss cuisine, including traditional dishes like fondue and rösti. The breakfast is generous, featuring fresh bread, cheeses, meats, and eggs cooked to order. The only downside is that, due to the remote location, dining options are limited to the hotel restaurant, but the quality makes up for it. Wellness & Spa – 10/10 The outdoor hot tub with a view of the Matterhorn is an absolute highlight! There’s also a sauna and steam bath, perfect after a day of skiing or hiking. Soaking in the warm water while surrounded by snow-capped peaks is an experience worth every penny. Activities – 10/10 Winter: Perfect for skiing, as the hotel is directly on the slopes. The ski room is convenient, and the access to the Gornergrat ski area is unbeatable. Summer: Incredible hiking trails with direct access to the Gornergratbahn for easy excursions to higher altitudes."

"The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, and they can arrange transfers for guests. The facilities are excellent, with most being complimentary. Rooms are spotless, feature balconies, and we were very pleased with the overall ambiance. The hotel service was also commendable. A special mention goes to the on-site Restaurant Peakfine; the food was delicious, and the staff there were exceptionally friendly and helpful."

"The location is great, about an 8-minute walk from the train station. Our room offered beautiful views of the Matterhorn, and the surroundings were very quiet. There's also a kitchen available, which is really convenient for guests who prefer to cook their own simple meals, like instant noodles or eggs."

"The hotel's proximity to the station was a lifesaver, especially with a heavy suitcase. Zermatt has these electric vehicles that transport guests to hotels further from the station, so some places might offer shuttle services. However, if you don't want the hassle of booking one, this hotel is a perfectly good option. My only minor complaints were the awkward placement of the power outlets and the lack of one by the bed."

"We stayed at Hotel Butterfly for three nights during our visit to Zermatt. Overall, the experience was average and there are several areas that could be improved. The rooms were acceptable but not as clean as expected, and the bedsheets had an unpleasant smell. Amenities were very basic only towels and an all-in-one soap were provided. Items such as slippers, moisturiser, and other standard amenities were not available, and there was no fridge in the room. Drinking water was only provided on the first day, although guests can refill water at the ground floor, which we appreciated. Breakfast was below expectations, and the service could be improved. We were not informed that eggs could be ordered until we noticed them being served to another table on our last day. Additionally, items like butter ran out and were not replenished promptly. We hope the hotel will take this feedback constructively and make improvements, as Zermatt is a beautiful destination and guests would benefit from a more comfortable and attentive stay."

Breakfast was generous and high quality, with a wide selection to suit all tastes, and the dining experience overall was refined yet comfortable. The location is also ideal — peaceful, yet within easy walking distance of the village and transport. Beasite Zermatt delivers luxury without feeling pretentious, paired with genuine hospitality. We would not hesitate to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zermatt."

"Check-in is self-service here, but we must have looked a bit lost or stayed too long in the lobby because a staff member promptly appeared to assist us. The staff are incredibly friendly and polite, making us feel right at home. It's conveniently located about 15 minutes from the train station, and at night, you can see plenty of stars. It offers great value for money, especially considering it's newly renovated. I would definitely return for another stay."

"The hotel is the white house shown in the first picture. The room was quite small, but the breakfast was decent and pretty abundant. It's located in the middle of town, close to the church. Overall, the value for money is alright. Zermatt has tons of hotels, so there are many choices, but very few are available for booking on Ctrip."

"It's about a 10-minute walk from Zermatt station. It's in the opposite direction from the main street, but it has a quiet and calm atmosphere. The cable car to Sunnegga is right there (3-minute walk). There was no kettle in the room, but they provided boiled water (if you asked), which was very helpful as I used it a few times. There was no sauna or pool, but the room had a bathtub so I was able to relax quite well. The outside temperature was quite low (even though it was September), so it was cold, but the room was heated so I was able to stay comfortably. The transfer to Zermatt station at check-out was 5 francs per person. (Free for those who book directly)"
