"The view is amazing. The service is really great. Someone was very enthusiastic to show me the room. This is the first time I've encountered this in Europe. Although the hotel upgraded the room and there is a large terrace, the building is too low and the view in front is blocked. I don't know if this price is for the first floor. I'm also speechless. But the hotel has three swimming pools and the facilities are great. But the first floor room has a smell. It feels big. It's like the smell of wooden furniture. It's very smelly. Although they helped to deal with it, I didn't want to be sprayed with air freshener again. I didn't feel very comfortable staying for one night. There is a shuttle bus to and from the hotel. When I went there, I forgot that I had walked there. I took a detour and walked for a long time."

"I paid an additional fee on the day and had them upgrade to a room with a mountain view! It was a sudden request, but I was willing to respond.
It was a room with a terrace with a beautiful Matterhorn. The cleaning was perfect and the facilities felt relatively new. I am very satisfied with the innocentness of any way!
The interior is also woody and calm. It is a hotel that I want to stay again!"

"We love the hotel and wished we could have stayed longer. The view from the balcony of our room gave us a clear view of the Matterhorn. The hotel is easily accessible from the Zermatt train station and the Town centre .
We loved the room allocated and found it extremely comfortable. We also enjoyed the sumptuous breakfast buffet which was pretty extensive.
Staff was really pleasant and helpful at all time. Our receptionist even escorted us to the room by stairs because their lift was not functional when we checked in.
The only regret was that we were unable to utilise the sauna and swimming pool facilities due to time constraints.
Will highly recommend the hotel to those who are looking for value for money stays whilst in Zermatt."

"Beautiful accommodation, 4th floor suite (top floor) with a view of Mt. Zermatt. We stayed as a family. Free spa. Delicious Swiss breakfast. Staff gave good advice on traveling around the area. Beautiful room but too dim light. May be more suitable for couples. There is a fire pit (in a glass box) to keep warm in the living room. The extra bed was placed in this living room, making the light from the fire too bright when sleeping. The master bedroom has a glass roof. The electric curtains are broken and cannot be used, must be used manually. This room is very cold. It seems that the heater does not work well."

"Perfect hotel. Thanks to Laginabel for providing us with perfect service and upgrading us to a large apartment with a view of the Matterhorn. Here is a summary of the hotel's features:
1. The hotel is very close to Zermatt Station and View Point. It is very convenient to walk there with a suitcase in about 5 minutes. The hotel also provides a free short-term bus (Zermatt's unique battery car).
2. The hotel itself has first-class facilities, especially the new building No. 3 where we stayed this time. The view is also perfect. You can see the view of the view point from the hotel balcony. The spa facilities are also brand new. There are two outdoor swimming pools, one with a higher water temperature and the other with a slightly lower temperature. Both have surfing and massage functions.
3. The hotel service is first-class. When we checked in, the front desk lady personally took us to the room and gave us a Rome tour. The breakfast is also the most abundant in this trip, with fresh smoked salmon sashimi, various hams, cold cuts, fruits and vegetables are all fresh, and there is homelet.

"This was the first hotel I stayed at in Switzerland, for two nights. I'd say it's a four-star hotel? But I had a very good experience. First, the location is absolutely fantastic, incredibly close to the train station. There's a sign across the street pointing to a small alley next to a restaurant; the hotel is just a minute's walk away. It's so convenient for getting luggage and catching the train. Although you can't see the Matterhorn, the view from the small terrace is quite nice. The two ladies at the front desk were very welcoming and greeted me when I arrived. Breakfast was fairly standard, just a typical European breakfast; you can order complimentary fried eggs or omelets. The downside is that the rooms are quite small, and the bathroom is tiny; you have to stand in the bathtub to shower (so there's no bathing option). Oh, and they were very kind to give me tea when I checked out."

"Actually, there is a hotel reception car at the exit, but we didn't know it.
I bought a bottle of red wine at the supermarket DENNE near the station, and ordered a steak on the 0th floor of the hotel. It was very comfortable for two people to share. Thank you hotel staff! We also ordered fried eggs for breakfast, which was good."

"The hotel boasts an excellent location and a unique, tasteful decor with wooden elements throughout, which I really loved. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, changing daily. You can even see the Matterhorn from the balcony, though my view from the second floor was unfortunately somewhat limited. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, although the single rooms are a bit on the smaller side. It's very convenient for the train station and exploring the town, with a Coop supermarket, shops, and restaurants all conveniently located nearby. After a 2-night stay, it was overall a very pleasant experience!"

We didn't book a balcony room originally, but we paid extra to book one, but it feels super worth the price! With a balcony room, you can directly see the Matterhorn in the sun. The hotel staff is also very good and enthusiastic! The hotel's supporting facilities are great, with indoor/outdoor hot springs that can be used after 1pm. The hotel car picks up and drops off! You can make an appointment to be dropped off at the train station

IIzzaPizzaThoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The excellent service rendered by the staff made our honeymoon much sweeter. Everyone was friendly, kind and always willing to help. Room was really nice and the extra sauna and open concept bathtub was a nice surprise! Breakfast spread was super delicious as well. Facilities like the wellness area include foot bath, infrared chairs, jacuzzi etc.

SSunyiqingThis hotel is our lucky hotel! We ended the bitter wind and rain in Switzerland here and finally saw the Matterhorn! This hotel itself is also great. The interior layout and design are very cleverly using the elements of the Matterhorn. Moreover, we only made a temporary reservation at 6 or 7 last night. The lady at the front desk upgraded our room type. The room is so big and has a large balcony. There are free coffee and tea in the room. Their breakfast is also great. Because I was in a hurry to go up the mountain in the morning, I didn’t take any photos, but the breakfast is very rich, with various fresh fruits such as strawberries and kiwis, freshly fried meats such as bacon and grilled sausages, as well as vegetables such as broccoli and mushrooms, as well as various breads, juices and milk, and even freshly squeezed orange juice. You can also go to the bar and order a cappuccino. In short, you can eat very satisfying! The best thing is that this hotel also has a pick-up service. We originally had to drag the big box to the train station for more than ten minutes, and the small car took us directly there. It took a few minutes and arrived super fast! The location is very easy to find. As soon as you get out of the train station, you can see a public bus with a battery. After getting off the bus, you can walk tens of meters through the supermarket. I love the layout of the garden lawn at first sight!
The grandmother at the front desk is very nice and tells you clearly about the hotel. The rooms are large and furnished very comfortably, with a wide view from the window. The room also has a kitchen, most of the cooking tools are complete.
Rich breakfast and comfortable environment! Stayed here for two nights, and friends of all sizes are unanimously praised!
In particular, the host family of the hotel is very nice and friendly!
I will definitely stay here again next time I have the opportunity!

TTraveljuThe hotel is perfect. At first when I look at the photos, I thought it would be a cozy small wooden room which is a little bit worn out. But no! Everything is so new and clean. The location is perfect! Center of everything! Breakfast got a wide range of choices too. Staff are nice. One downside of the hotel is that for me, the pillow is wayyy too flat. I have to put the towels from the bathroom under the pillow. Other than that, perfect!

The hotel gave us a top-floor room with an exceptionally expansive view; the balcony offered a direct view of the Matterhorn, and the interplay of light and shadow at dawn and dusk was breathtaking. The ground floor houses a restaurant and bar with a great atmosphere.
The front desk and service staff were very welcoming. The overall environment was clean and tidy, with thoughtful design details. We forgot to pay the city tax when we left too early, and thank you Margarida for helping us with that.

FFinalLinkMy wife and I were on a honeymoon trip and booked Hotel Albatros. The front desk was really nice and helpful and provided us with two glasses of champagne. They left some nice surprise in the room. The room was clean and quiet. It has a huge balcony that links the same floor.
The shuttle bus is 10 franc per room per trip.
It is located in between the bahnhof and the Paradise Cablecar. Both about 10-15 mins away. All in all loved it.

Upon arriving in Zermatt and taking the Gornergrat Bahn, it is highly recommended to call the hotel in advance so they can arrange luggage pickup at Riffelberg station. Pulling luggage by yourself can be quite challenging, as the path involves walking through snow and crossing ski areas.
One of the highlights of this hotel is the breathtaking and unobstructed view of the Matterhorn. The mountain is clearly visible from the hotel area, and there is truly no need to go elsewhere just to enjoy this iconic view.
The outdoor jacuzzi is a wonderful feature; however, on some days the water temperature was not warm enough, making it comfortable to use only on certain occasions.
Dinner is served as a set course menu. Each evening, there are two main dish options: one meat dish (which changes daily, such as beef, pork, or fish) and one vegetarian option. The food quality is very good and tasty, but the service is relatively slow — completing the full course takes around two hours.
The hotel is well equipped with an elevator that provides access to all floors, which is very convenient, especially when carrying belongings.
