"The hotel is very close to the train station, less than a 10-minute walk. Although it's not on the main street, it's a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle, with clear signs that make it easy to find using navigation. The hotel is quite new, and the room was larger than expected. While the breakfast selection wasn't huge, it was sufficient. It's a great choice for Zermatt."

"Besides the great prices, the toiletries were L'Occitane. There was a person on the basement floor who took care of bookings, and we paid for them together upon check-out.

"Four of us stayed for one night in two rooms at Alpenblick Superior during our trip to Switzerland. The location is about a 10-minute walk from the train station. Our room had a beautiful view of the Matterhorn, and it was very clean and peaceful, as it's not located near the main street. Do note that you'll need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste."

"The stay was fantastic! The hotel gave us a top-floor room with an exceptionally expansive view; the balcony offered a direct view of the Matterhorn, and the interplay of light and shadow at dawn and dusk was breathtaking. The ground floor houses a restaurant and bar with a great atmosphere.
The front desk and service staff were very welcoming. The overall environment was clean and tidy, with thoughtful design details. We forgot to pay the city tax when we left too early, and thank you Margarida for helping us with that."

CCalitosWe just came here without many informations about this hotel, but their hospitality from staffs was Really Really great. I felt like I was staying 5+star hotel from their kindness.
Picked up by hotel car, free sauna, free to use mini bar, great balcony view considering the cost of staying, and also took us to the station again when we left.
I would strongly recommend this hotel, and there is also sister hotel named Hotel Daniela probably also great guessing from my experience from Hotel Chesa Valese.
Hope everything well to the hotel family and staffs.

HHarmonickFor a truly memorable stay in Zermatt, look no further than the Traditional Julen Hotel. We travelled throughout Switzerland, and the view from our Matterhorn room was hands down the best we experienced. Waking up to that iconic peak every morning was simply breathtaking.
The service at the Julen is impeccable. The staff is incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to meet every need we had, making us feel truly welcome. Speaking of needs, be sure to grab a bite at their downstairs restaurant. The food is excellent, though the space is a little on the cozy (some might say claustrophobic) side. Don't let that deter you, though - the culinary experience is well worth it.
Overall, the Traditional Julen Hotel is a fantastic choice. Splurge on the Matterhorn room for an unforgettable view, and rest assured knowing you'll be taken care of by a truly exceptional team. Highly recommended!

Very near the zermatt train station, just opposite of Macdonald’s.
Breakfast had a good selection.
Housekeeping would check in on you and offer free chocolates.
The only feedback I have is the room didn’t provide English instructions on how to dial the concierge so I had to walk down to request for items.

The room is large in size, decorated in an elegant and comfortable style, and has a balcony with a view of the Matterhorn. The only inconvenience is that there is a beam above the bed that is easy to hit your head because of the sloped roof. It takes a few times to get used to it before you notice it⚠️
The hotel's breakfast is very good, with a wide variety of ingredients and fresh and delicious ingredients. The service staff are also polite and attentive.
The town is not big, and dining, shopping and entertainment around the hotel are very convenient.

Definitely make sure to book a room with a Matterhorn view. The breakfast was generally good, though it could have used a bit more fresh fruit. GGuest UserThe hotel is a short distance from Zermatt Railway Station. It takes more than ten minutes to walk. It takes a slope and climb the stairs. A total of 5 floors, we lived in a mountain view room, the room was clean and spacious, the facilities were perfect, and the decoration was very Swiss mountain style. The balcony is quite big, and there is no partition from the adjacent room. If the weather is good, you can directly see the top of Matterhorn, and you can also see the train up the mountain passing by the side of the hillside. It is a great experience. There are bread, cakes, yogurt, sausages, fruits, coffee and other Western breakfasts, and the restaurant is very cute. The front desk and restaurant waiters of the hotel are very warm and the wifi is very smooth. It is not far from the Matterhorn shooting check-in point and the black-faced sheep restaurant. It is recommended.

Upon arriving in Zermatt and taking the Gornergrat Bahn, it is highly recommended to call the hotel in advance so they can arrange luggage pickup at Riffelberg station. Pulling luggage by yourself can be quite challenging, as the path involves walking through snow and crossing ski areas.
One of the highlights of this hotel is the breathtaking and unobstructed view of the Matterhorn. The mountain is clearly visible from the hotel area, and there is truly no need to go elsewhere just to enjoy this iconic view.
The outdoor jacuzzi is a wonderful feature; however, on some days the water temperature was not warm enough, making it comfortable to use only on certain occasions.
Dinner is served as a set course menu. Each evening, there are two main dish options: one meat dish (which changes daily, such as beef, pork, or fish) and one vegetarian option. The food quality is very good and tasty, but the service is relatively slow — completing the full course takes around two hours.
The hotel is well equipped with an elevator that provides access to all floors, which is very convenient, especially when carrying belongings.

Service at front counter is excellent! Courteous, friendly and informative. Also we got upgraded! Room is clean and spacious and has a balcony. On going renovation next door during our stay in Oct 2024.
Resort has 2 restaurant at the hotel but one apparently requires reservation and has seating time. We were famished when arrived at the restaurant at 8pm, but were told to come back at 830pm for second seating. Such a disappointment when the front counter service was excellent. Had dinner at the pub instead, food wasn’t too bad.
Spa facilities was great. Would stay at the same Ola e again. Value for money

AAndreClose to the train station. Although I got an upgrade to a double room, it was small (the table in front of the bed takes a lot of space). The bathroom was big and clean but outdated. The balcony was nice but not really needed in winter.
Everyone can enter the ski room and the individual locker cannot be locked. Perfect for thieves.
