"I could definitely see why this hotel has such high ratings. It's less than a two-minute walk from Zermatt train station. The hotel has a cozy Alpine style, and the room was much larger and more comfortable than I expected. It was great to see that both the room and the bathroom were maintained in pristine condition. The breakfast was truly, truly excellent. It was such a clean and well-presented spread that no further explanation is needed. I was absolutely amazed by the breakfast throughout my entire three-day stay. Another great advantage of this hotel is the afternoon tea time (from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM). The coffee, drinks, and soft bread perfectly relieved the pressure of Zermatt's incredibly high prices. This is the best hotel, and I would love to visit again if I get the chance."

"The room was incredibly spacious with breathtaking views from the window. The bathroom had a bathtub, and the shower pressure was surprisingly strong for a high-altitude location, which was very comfortable. The breakfast and dinner, included with the stay, were different every day and delicious. Catching the sunrise in the morning is an exclusive experience for guests, and on the last day, I even got to see the 'Morgenrot' (alpenglow), which was absolutely amazing. On Thursday evenings, there's a free stargazing event with commentary from University of Bern researchers, where you can admire the beautiful night sky through the hotel's top-floor telescope."

"I had a wonderful stay at this charming small hotel, beautifully decorated and conveniently located near Zermatt train station. During my stay, a snowstorm caused a power outage and all train services were suspended, making it impossible to leave the town. Despite these unexpected circumstances, the hotel took excellent care of us. They provided helpful information, allowed us to extend our stay without any additional charges, and showed incredible kindness throughout. The hotel owner was especially warm and accommodating, making a difficult situation much easier for us. I truly appreciated their hospitality and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zermatt."

"Four of us stayed for one night in two rooms at Alpenblick Superior during our trip to Switzerland. The location is about a 10-minute walk from the train station. Our room had a beautiful view of the Matterhorn, and it was very clean and peaceful, as it's not located near the main street. Do note that you'll need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste."

"Location – 10/10 Nestled high above Zermatt, the Riffelhaus 1853 is accessible via the Gornergrat railway, making the journey itself an adventure. Once you arrive, you’re greeted by panoramic mountain views in every direction, with the iconic Matterhorn standing proudly in front of you. The setting is perfect for ski-in/ski-out access in winter and stunning hiking trails in summer. Rooms – 9/10 The rooms are cozy, modern, and well-equipped while still maintaining a classic Swiss alpine charm. Many rooms come with Matterhorn views, and waking up to this scenery is an experience in itself. The beds are comfortable, and the rustic wooden decor gives a warm, welcoming feel. Some rooms have balconies, which I highly recommend booking for the full experience. Service – 9/10 The staff is friendly, professional, and attentive. Despite the hotel’s remote location, the service is top-notch, with staff going out of their way to accommodate special requests. From seamless check-in to helpful local recommendations, they make the stay even more special. Dining – 8.5/10 The on-site restaurant serves delicious Swiss cuisine, including traditional dishes like fondue and rösti. The breakfast is generous, featuring fresh bread, cheeses, meats, and eggs cooked to order. The only downside is that, due to the remote location, dining options are limited to the hotel restaurant, but the quality makes up for it. Wellness & Spa – 10/10 The outdoor hot tub with a view of the Matterhorn is an absolute highlight! There’s also a sauna and steam bath, perfect after a day of skiing or hiking. Soaking in the warm water while surrounded by snow-capped peaks is an experience worth every penny. Activities – 10/10 Winter: Perfect for skiing, as the hotel is directly on the slopes. The ski room is convenient, and the access to the Gornergrat ski area is unbeatable. Summer: Incredible hiking trails with direct access to the Gornergratbahn for easy excursions to higher altitudes."

"I am travelling with my 80 years old dad and visit Zermatt/Gornergrat for a day and taking Glacier Express in next early morning, this hotel is in perfect location. Just few minutes walk to train station and Gornergrat Railway. Check in is actually happened at the hotel Simi right opposite our hotel. The room is spacious and has everything we need. Also, we have a very nice and big balcony. One thing that I want to say about is the bath tub is too high for us to step in as Asian and for 80 years old man. But overall is good. BTW, there are so many restaurants around and we just went to the Swiss Chalet right opposite our hotel, services and food is really good."

"The hotel is in a good location. There is a restaurant downstairs with a Greek chef. The food is delicious! The hotel room is a bit small, maybe it's like this in Switzerland. After the three of us added a bed, it was a bit inconvenient to unpack. The breakfast was good, a traditional European breakfast, no fried eggs, but boiled eggs. The big skylight in the bathroom was also drunk. Fortunately, there is no higher hotel on the mountain, otherwise it would be a live broadcast"
