"the location was good. u can see matterhorn clearly but unfortunately there is a big construction crane block some view. On the way to hotel from zermatt station if you follow the google map, it gonna lead u to hard way, very high upslope hill. it will be better if hotel provide u the easy path way to hotel."

"This is like an apartment of other Hotel, there is no reception on this hotel. You have to get everything from the other hotel next to it. this is Swiss Wooden Hotel, so simple and nice. It is not like hotel in the city. My room is big enough for 3. Just have a small table to eat but we mange it. Shower is ok but it is too tall for my mom (she is 5ft 4 ) to climb in. She is old so she needs to sit 1st and climb in. there is left but still need to walk a bit stair with your luggage......... You can ask the reception in the other hotel for hot water, hair dryer."

"The hotel is in a great location, perfect for enjoying the quiet before the tourists arrive. The breakfast and dinner were excellent, and the white beer IPA is worth trying. The hotel has heating, which was very comfortable at night. The bedding was clean and comfortable, and I had a good night's sleep."

"We just came here without many informations about this hotel, but their hospitality from staffs was Really Really great. I felt like I was staying 5+star hotel from their kindness. Picked up by hotel car, free sauna, free to use mini bar, great balcony view considering the cost of staying, and also took us to the station again when we left. I would strongly recommend this hotel, and there is also sister hotel named Hotel Daniela probably also great guessing from my experience from Hotel Chesa Valese. Hope everything well to the hotel family and staffs. We really have enjoyed to staying there."

"Hotel butterfly is very close to Zermatt train station and gornergrat railway within 5mins walk. The hotel also offered hi-tea from 4pm to 5.30pm everyday. The staffs at the restaurant and reception are extremely helpful & friendly."

"At the same price, Pateau Rosa is a room facing Matterhorn, just opposite the cable car, but I just want to book this one. Thinking that there are few skiers in August, this is so biased, it should be upgraded to a south-facing room for me. I really want to think too much, the Swiss ski team trains to live here, full room 🤣 But this small hotel is really loving, each room has a large balcony The room is small, but clean and warm The bathroom is big enough with windows Zermatt water quality is very good, bathing is very comfortable Room service will put you a bottle of water every day, although it should be the water pipe There is free lemonade and honey cake at the front desk, the taste is very good, especially when you come back on foot, very happy You can store ski gear, there is a door directly outside, very convenient The front desk service is intimate, English is good I used to talk to you. ⚠️ From the train station to take a taxi, Zermatt's small bus is not allowed to carry luggage. "Initially I was a bit apprehensive about this hotel based on reviews but it was a good stay!! Great value for Zermatt! Walking distance about 10 mins from Zermatt station, on shopping street. Toilets and stairway up a bit small but ok for us. Luckily we were located on first floor so didn’t have to climb up too many stairs with our luggage. There’s a pizzeria below. Things to note: didn’t see a bin ( only a small one in toilet) so maybe bring your own plastic bag for a bin as well as room slippers. Place was clean! However there’s some loud music that played even in the wee hours of the night like 3am, so if you are a light sleeper, you might need to put on some ear plugs to muffle the noise out. Nonetheless, A huge thank you for the stay. Convenient, Breakfast was awesome, simple spread but very heartwarming and the coffee was the most delicious I’ve had. It was the Easter weekend so there’s pretty Easter eggs for breakfast too! The lady owner was lovely and check in and check out was very easy and seamless. We stayed for a night and would recommend this place."

"Exceeded our expectations! As a family of three, we booked a mountain-view suite on the top floor. With a pull-out sofa bed in addition to the main double bed, it could easily accommodate four people! Plus, it boasts a balcony with direct Matterhorn views and a comfy swing chair, perfect for taking in the panoramic town scenery. Absolutely fantastic! While the furniture isn't brand-new or ultra-modern, and there's no air conditioning, that seems to be the norm across Zermatt. We had a very comfortable stay! The price was also very reasonable, especially compared to the high rates we encountered in previous cities (perhaps due to the 2025 Women's Euro, as big city hotels were pricey). It felt like excellent value for money! The hotel's location is great, only about 400 meters from the train station – a leisurely stroll of less than ten minutes. Oh, and the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and attentive to every detail. My broken English was absolutely no barrier to communication! :)"

"This hotel is our lucky hotel! We ended the bitter wind and rain in Switzerland here and finally saw the Matterhorn! This hotel itself is also great. The interior layout and design are very cleverly using the elements of the Matterhorn. Moreover, we only made a temporary reservation at 6 or 7 last night. The lady at the front desk upgraded our room type. The room is so big and has a large balcony. There are free coffee and tea in the room. Their breakfast is also great. Because I was in a hurry to go up the mountain in the morning, I didn’t take any photos, but the breakfast is very rich, with various fresh fruits such as strawberries and kiwis, freshly fried meats such as bacon and grilled sausages, as well as vegetables such as broccoli and mushrooms, as well as various breads, juices and milk, and even freshly squeezed orange juice.
