This hotel has everything, comfortable room, great amenities, fantastic restaurant (don’t miss the Asian buffet on Wednesday nights) and fantastic location ( transfer busses to all the ski locations right on your door step plus just one block from the Main Street). "Surprising cabin, we had a pleasant 2 nights here. The room was clean and tidy, the kitchen and living room were together, the bedroom was bigger than expected, and the bedding was very comfortable. There is heating, the fireplace can also be used, we asked the staff to help us make the fire. There are microwave ovens and induction cookers, simple kitchen utensils, we went to the supermarket to buy ingredients and made dinner by ourselves. In the evening, there was a deer eating grass on the lawn downstairs. The hotel has its own soup pool, which is very small, we are too tired to go soak. The staff is very welcoming and the old-fashioned door lock is not very easy to use."

"Great location, walkable to all the shops, in the town centre of Banff! The room was comfortable for a family of 4, the shower was decent. I like the spaciousness of the loft when you have so many luggages. The hot chocolate station in the evening is a nice touch. There is a famous farm & fire restaurant in the hotel which we didn’t get to try. The indoor parking is $5 CAD."

"I've been to Banff many times before, but always stayed at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. This time, my family and I decided to revisit on a whim. Since the Fairmont was fully booked every day, we had to choose another hotel. I saw the Moose Hotel on Ctrip, with its underground parking and rooftop hot springs, and immediately booked a two-night stay.
Upon arrival, we found the hotel to be right on the main street in the town center, which was super convenient for shopping. You can indeed drive directly into the underground parking garage and take the elevator straight up to all floors. After dinner, we enjoyed a free hydromassage in the rooftop hot springs and massage pool, washing away the fatigue from several days of driving. The hotel also provides three days of free bus passes for guests to visit nearby attractions.
Our room was well-equipped. There was a kettle provided, and the water pressure for the shower was excellent, making for a very refreshing experience."

"Excellent location in Banff! Near stores and restaurants with awesome views around. Very friendly staff too.
The room itself was quite clean except that as soon as we entered, there were flies including fruit flies… Other than that, the room was big and warm. It had a keep safe too.
The washroom was quite small, it was hard to close the door but it worked out."

The hot pools were refreshing. Lots of cozy areas to sit and relax- perfect for a couples retreat.

"We had a great time at Canoe. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and bed was comfortable. Soaking in the hot tubs were a great way to relax after a long day. It was easy to find parking (at least during the winter when we went) and a multi-day bus pass is provided if you don’t want to drive or walk to downtown Banff. Only complaint is that the heater/AC unit is below the window and the air would hit the occupants of the bed closest to it. We worked about it by blocking the air with a chair."

GGuest UserOverall pretty good, underground parking was rough with little space an terrible parkers. Unfortunately there’s nothing the hotel could do about people’s driving skills. I would recommend this hotel but get back early and walk if you can if you’d like to have a spot for your vehicle.

GGuest UserThe location is good, next to the famous Canadian steakhouse The Keg. The service is also very warm, there are hot springs in the winter to soak, you can see the snow-capped mountains. Check-in and check-out are quick. A buffet breakfast is served daily, with yoghurt and oatmeal, and the egg yolk can also meet the needs and will be recommended.

GGuest UserWe did a little staycation in Banff from Calgary and overall had a great time.
The cave pool was a big hit, but just a heads up that it’s not really a “swimming pool.” It’s more like a large cave-style hot tub. It’s shallow, and the water is fairly hot, so the kids couldn’t really swim or put their faces under the water. The cave setup is very cool though, and the adults really enjoyed it for relaxing. The dry sauna was also great.
We stayed in a suite with two double beds, plus a living area with a sofa bed, a dining area, and a kitchenette. We were happy with the layout. The suite was clean, but it is definitely dated.
One downside was the TVs. I know you don’t go to Banff to sit and watch TV, but it would be nice if they updated to smart TVs. If you’re traveling with kids, I’d suggest bringing a Fire Stick or Chromecast. Even an HDMI cable to connect a laptop would work, but make sure you download movies ahead of time because the Wi-Fi in our area was pretty spotty and the kids kept losing connection.
The front desk staff were fantastic. Friendly, helpful, and efficient. They made parking easy, provided bus passes, and explained local info without us having to ask a bunch of questions.
We’d stay here again, and next time we’ll definitely bring something for the TV so we can do an easy movie night after a busy day.

GGuest UserI visited this hostel as a solo traveller from the UK but there was definitely a mix of friends and couples staying in this hostel too. The staff are all super friendly and helpful and its location is great on the little Banff ‘Strip’. I can’t stress enough how friendly everyone in this hostel was, I had the best time!
