Mountain view Hotels in Banff

The hotel's location is great, right on the main street, making it very convenient to walk to shops and other hotels. I used the hot tub and sauna every day. There's only one washer and dryer in the laundry room, so you often have to wait in line. The breakfast looked pretty fresh and clean. For a typical hotel in North America, it's quite good.

My first time staying in a lodge and I didn’t expect the fireplace enhance the entire vibe of room. If you are not a fan of fireplace, the room also provides automatic heater system. I like the design of the bathroom, very spacious and modern. Especially it has L’occitane shower gel and shampoo. There are lights in the room, but still without the daylight, the room is still very dim for reading. Also, some spots in the bathroom have traces of refurbishing, and there are dust and crusts left near the holder and wall. Parking is free, right in front of our room. Very accessible for us to upload our luggage in the room. We are pleased to be able to get a room at the main floor and would love to come back again next time in the summer. =

Our stay at Caribou Lodge was perfect! Exactly what we were expecting. The proximity to downtown is great - 10 minute walk or you could take the ROAM bus straight downtown. The hotel has character and we had the perfect stay. All staff was super friendly and inviting. The front desk employee was super helpful and explained our ROAM passes and the other amenities perfectly. Loved that Rocky Mountain Soap Co was in all the bathrooms, too! All in all, a great experience for a great price and I would highly recommend it. 

The room comes with a kitchen, both of which were very clean. The kitchen was equipped with basic dish soap, dishcloths, plates, pots, and salt, but no cooking oil. The room itself was spacious and quite clean, and the water pressure and heat were excellent. Like many hotels in Canada, the room lighting was a bit dim, but the kitchen and bathroom lighting were bright. A bus stop to Banff town is conveniently located right outside the hotel, just three stops away. The hotel provides a complimentary transit pass, making it very easy to get around without a car. I would recommend this place to friends. A tip for Banff: the local buses don't accept credit cards and drivers don't give change. Each ticket costs $2, so be sure to have exact change.

I originally wanted to book a hotel in Lake Louise, about a 30-minute drive away, but I could only get two nights out of three there, so I ended up booking one night here. The location is quite convenient, just a few minutes walk from the main street, and parking is easy. However, the room facilities were really poor. The room was tiny, and the dark gray duvet made me wonder if it was clean or not. Foreigners don't use duvet covers; they just put a sheet between you and the duvet insert. I kept worrying about touching the duvet insert in my sleep. The pillows were square cushion inserts, uneven and lumpy, and I had no idea what was inside them. Sigh, and it cost over 3000!
