"The hotel room was spotless, and the bed was wonderfully soft and comfortable. I really appreciated the double lock for added security, and my individual capsule felt very private. The soundproofing was pretty decent too. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always greeting me with a smile and providing excellent service all around. The hotel's central location is fantastic; it's just a three-bus-stop ride to the train station, and there's a Coop supermarket right next door. Having a microwave, kettle, and fridge was a huge plus – perfect for instant noodles and pre-made meals. The bathroom was spacious and private, complete with a hairdryer. The self check-in system was available in multiple languages, which was very convenient. All in all, a really great stay!"

"1. Transportation: From Lucerne train station, you can take a bus (check SBB for details). The bus stop is right in front of the guesthouse. 2. Air conditioning is available. 3. There's no in-room kitchen, no kettle, and no mini-fridge. 4. There are two elevators, so no worries about heavy luggage."

"This hotel is in a super convenient location, right next to Lucerne train station. It's a lifesaver if you're traveling with luggage or by train. There's a Migros right across the street, which is perfect for grabbing snacks, drinks, fruit, or daily necessities. It's really quick to stock up before heading back to the hotel in the evening. And there's a McDonald's nearby too, so if you get hungry late at night or just want a quick bite, you don't have to go far. The area around the hotel has fantastic amenities, with lots of restaurants and shops. You can easily walk to Lake Lucerne and all the main attractions, and an evening stroll is really pleasant. With such great transport links and an excellent location, it's highly recommended whether you're traveling independently or visiting Switzerland for the first time. Overall, my stay was very convenient, saving a lot of time on transport and lugging bags around. I'd definitely want to stay here again on my next trip to Lucerne."

"Check out these photos of the hotel and the surrounding streets in the early morning, featuring typical European retro architecture with aged red bricks and green tiles. The best part is its proximity to the train station! Just a few steps from the train, you can drop off your luggage and completely free up your hands, avoiding the torture of dragging suitcases over the old town's cobblestone streets. The front desk service was also impeccable, both warm and professional. However, even with such a perfect location and amazing service, there's one fatal flaw – no air conditioning! Who would have thought that Switzerland in late May would defy expectations and be as hot as an oven? Accustomed to powerful air conditioning in Asia, returning to the room at night felt like a complimentary 'Swiss eco-sauna' experience. Location gets full marks, service gets full marks, but for the temperature, we had to rely on our strong willpower for some 'physical cooling'."

"Three stops from the train station, or a 20-minute walk. Breakfast is a self-service buffet with a good variety of options and tasty food. The downside is that the facilities are a bit old, possibly due to the location. The bathtub is quite vintage, and the light switches also have an old-fashioned feel, as do the bedside lamps. The bed is a bit old too, and the room has poor soundproofing. There was a tour group in the middle of the night, and one of the older women's voices was deafening. Given the economical price, sometimes you can accept these things when considering the value."

"Central, Comfortable, and Classic Swiss Hospitality – Hotel Astoria LuzernI recently stayed at Hotel Astoria Luzern and came away really impressed. Location: Perfect. It’s right across from Lucerne train station and 2 minutes from the lake. Chapel Bridge, Old Town, and boat piers are all walkable in under 10 minutes. If you’re exploring central Switzerland by train, you literally can’t get more convenient.Room: We had a Superior Double and it was spacious by Swiss standards. Very clean, quiet, and the bed was excellent — slept great every night. Modern bathroom, good lighting, and blackout curtains. Nice touches like Nespresso machine and free bottled water daily.Breakfast: A real highlight. Huge buffet with Swiss cheeses, cold cuts, fresh bread, Bircher muesli, hot items, and barista coffee included. The breakfast room has views of Pilatus on clear days. Worth waking up for.Facilities: The spa/sauna area is small but well kept and perfect after a day of walking. There’s also a fitness room. We ate at the Astoria Restaurant one night — solid Swiss/international menu and great wine list.Service: Warm and professional. Front desk staff were fluent in English, gave great tips for Mt. Rigi and lake cruises, and stored our luggage after checkout. Check-in/out was fast. You can tell they’re used to international travelers but still keep it personal.Vibe: Classic 4-star European hotel with tasteful updates. Feels upscale without being stuffy. Great mix of business travelers and tourists.Minor notes: Rooms facing Pilatusstrasse can get some street noise if windows are open, but with them closed it was quiet. Parking is valet-only and pricey, which is normal for central Lucerne — better to arrive by train if you can.Overall: For location, comfort, and service, Astoria is one of the best value 4-star options in Lucerne. We used it as a base for day trips to Titlis, Rigi, and the city itself, and it was perfect. Rating: 4.5/5 Would stay again without hesitation. Highly recommend for couples and families visiting Lucerne."

"The hotel's location is very convenient, close to the train station and major attractions. It's a perfect choice for a short stay. However, the price is a bit high; compared to hotels in China costing 300-500 yuan, the rooms are a bit smaller, but I suppose that's acceptable for Switzerland. Nevertheless, it's definitely worth staying here. The front desk staff are very welcoming, and the breakfast selection is quite good."

After I checked out, I realized I had accidentally left behind my little plushie elephant, which means a lot to me. "The room is very warm, the window is the cattle and horses of the farmers, very good natural environment, very quiet, breakfast is very rich. "Convenient location, accessible by car but complicated, must enter from the back of the river. Good service staff, smiling, luxurious room, beautifully decorated, beautiful river view, beautiful light in the room, we stayed 3 people, not cramped, the bed is soft and comfortable, it is also a shopping area, shops close early, maybe because it is winter, welcome drink tastes great."
