Hotels in Basel, Switzerland – Book at Best Prices 2026

"Good location, near a tram stop and SBB, and walking distance to the city centre. City tax entitles you to free transport with the BaselCard (though only after you check in, I think, so if coming from Basel Bad you need to make your own way there). Helpful reception staff, quick check-in. Price was quite good for a short-notice booking, around 70€ equivalent on a Friday. Room (triple) was a reasonable size. The ensuite facilities in the room are rather poorly installed as an afterthought: the toilet is not properly separated from the rest of the room and the shower pod door is not flush, so water would leak all over the floor. Fine for a night or two, probably would stay here again if needed but hope they can improve the mod cons."

"Hotel Euter Basel is incredibly convenient, located just a one-minute walk from Basel SBB train, bus, and tram stations. Its distinctive light blue exterior makes it easy to spot. The rooms are very spacious and fully equipped, featuring a mini-fridge, coffee machine, and two complimentary glass bottles of water. The hotel also provides guests with a free public transport card and museum discount vouchers, which are fantastic for sightseeing and saving money. The breakfast is outstanding and very generous. The staff are all extremely polite. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Basel!"

"This hotel was a great value for our stopover from France to Zurich, Switzerland. The rooms were clean and quite spacious, with lovely views of the Basel cityscape from the window. The hotel's decor felt very refined and elegant throughout. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic and very plentiful! All the staff were also very friendly and helpful."

"We were usung public transport and this hotel was perfect.  It is only a 2 minute walk from the Central Station.  Plus there was a tram 1/2 block from the hotel that took you downtown.  We were given a “Basel Card” which gave us free transport, even to the airport. In addition, what was called a continental breakfast was much more.  Scrambled eggs, bacon, yogurt, various breads and an excellent coffee machine were all included."

"The hotel itself looks nice and the location is just outside the main touristic areas. Parking area is inconvenient and difficult to figure out. It took awhile for the Staff to explain clearly. The room itself was a bit small. And the airconditioning/ventilation wasn’t working well."

"Up to the center 20 minutes by bus (by Visitor card from the hotel free),but the apartments are very cool,clean,”fresh,” comfortable.Cool common zones,in the neighboring building-commerce,theatre,food stores.stopped yet. The pillow is only uncomfortable, very soft 😅"

"Basel was our final stop in Switzerland this year, a border city spanning only 24 square kilometers. Despite its border location, it's very developed and modern. **Environment:** Among hotels like Victoria, Mövenpick, Radisson, and Novotel, we chose this 3-star option. It's directly opposite the SBB train station, and the main bus terminal is just 100 meters from the lobby exit. Although it's a transport hub, the area is decent; there are a few homeless people around, but its convenience makes up for it. **Facilities:** There's no fitness center, but you can pay to use a partner facility. The lobby bar is alright, not too crowded, with a nice corner view of the street. Coffee runs between 6-7 Swiss francs. The room isn't huge, but it's fully functional, and the bathroom is quite spacious, which is great for travelers. **Cleanliness:** The common areas, like the lobby and hallways, are well-maintained, and the room was very tidy. You can definitely trust the cleanliness standards of Swiss hotels. **Service:** Check-in and check-out were both quick. Our room was ready well in advance, and luggage storage was straightforward. They provide a Basel Card, which offers free use of all city public transport and half-price entry to some museums. I didn't particularly notice any other services."
