"The room was spacious and very clean, with large windows. It was chilly at night, so it was great to have the heater on (I didn't take any photos of the room because out of all the hotels and guesthouses I've stayed in, this is the first one I'm actually reviewing! The only downside is that my room type didn't have a full-length mirror, hahaha, not sure about other rooms). In the mornings, you can see the sunrise over Cangshan Mountain from the room, and you can also head to the rooftop for an even better view of the sunrise. The location is super close to the popular Xindi Cafe – just a two or three-minute walk to the left downstairs. It's also near Yibu Zhi Yao, a Dali Bai ethnic specialty restaurant, which is just a few hundred meters to the right downstairs. Erhai Lake is right downstairs, and there's a coffee shop where you can also sit and watch the sunrise. The breakfast was delicious too! I can't believe the rice noodles at this guesthouse were the best I've had in Dali, hahaha! Overall, the experience was fantastic. The owner and staff were very welcoming and helped with our luggage. We stayed for three nights, and on the morning we left Dali, the owner even treated us to coffee and gave me a can of brown sugar. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Dali. And no, I'm not a shill, hahahahahaha!"

"The room has an excellent location; just downstairs, you'll find an ecological promenade. The room we booked featured floor-to-ceiling windows offering direct views of Erhai Lake, making access to the lake incredibly convenient. However, since it's located in a village, transportation to the ancient town or Cangshan Mountain for sightseeing isn't very convenient, and taxis are difficult to hail. I recommend renting the guesthouse's electric scooter; it's both affordable and practical. The guesthouse owner is fantastic! You can take a taxi to the village entrance, and the owner will come to pick you up on an electric scooter. On the day we left, there was a heavy downpour, and the owner patiently helped us find a car to get back to the ancient town. Highly recommended!"

When we took a taxi to the entrance of the village, they came to help us carry our luggage. They were very polite and even helped us carry out our large and small bags when we were leaving. "This place feels more like a proper hotel than a guesthouse, both in terms of facilities and amenities – they don't cut corners. It's clean and tidy, and the room we booked faced Erhai Lake directly, so we could watch the sunrise right from bed! The hotel also offers coffee and meals, which were delicious. We wanted to extend our stay for another night, but unfortunately, they were fully booked. Guess we'll have to come back next time!"

"I'm usually not one to leave reviews, but I just had to for this place! I spent days searching online and finally settled on Gugu Meimei because I was drawn to the beautiful balcony view. It turns out the real thing is even better than the pictures! The room was so stunning that I was speechless the moment I walked in, and I immediately decided I would definitely stay here again next time. I looked around from the balcony, and this place is absolutely the prettiest among the neighboring ones! The room's curtains provided excellent blackout, the AC worked great, and all the toiletries were disposable. They even provided an eye mask and a face mask! The in-room mini-bar was completely free, and we received welcome fruits upon arrival, a gorgeous afternoon tea, and a souvenir upon departure. This place truly changed my perception that B&Bs aren't as good as hotels. If I had to find a fault, it would be that the parking lot is quite challenging for drivers. However, the staff helped carry our luggage to and from the parking lot, which was only about 200 meters away. Also, it would be great if the top-floor Miyo room and public area had some sort of barrier; I felt a bit unsafe being able to step directly from my room onto the public terrace. All in all, it was a perfect experience, and I've already recommended it to many family and friends, telling them to choose this place when they visit Yunnan!"

"Came to Dali with a friend and wanted a sea-view room, so we chose the Three Color Clouds Hotel in Shuanglang. We contacted the butler in advance, and they came to pick us up at the drop-off point – even helped with our luggage, which was really thoughtful! Our room had a sea-view balcony! Opening the window revealed the sparkling Erhai Lake. Enjoying afternoon tea while gazing at the sea was just incredibly relaxing! Every corner of the hotel felt photo-worthy. In the evening, we watched the sunset with a gentle breeze – the atmosphere was absolutely perfect 🌅. After a tiring day of sightseeing, we could just kick back and enjoy the sea view. My friend and I listened to music and chatted on the balcony. When we left, the butler even gave us a souvenir, haha. My friend and I both agreed this was our favorite hotel in Dali this trip! We'll definitely stay here again next time!"

Good spot for sunrise watching Room is spacious for 3 of us Friendly and helpful host, they helped with luggage to 3rd floor as the hotel no lift. They also offered us local Mooncake as it was Mid-Autumn Festival during our stay. They provides many freebies, eg: earplug, steam eye mask etc. our booking also comes with complimentary pick up service from Dali station which is very handy. Cons - There isn't any hanger in the bathroom, and no door at the main entrance to bathroom area. So it may be awkward if you travelling with friends."

Speaking of Shuanglang, I have to mention the Anzhi Yingluo hotel where I stayed this time. First and foremost, the service was incredibly thoughtful, right from the moment I booked. A butler guided me on the route and picked me up at a designated spot for check-in, diligently helping with my luggage all the way. Upon arrival at the hotel, there were all sorts of welcome gifts, making me feel as warm as if I were coming home. Fresh fruit, snacks, and a calming pear soup at night – the butler was always available to resolve any issues. Breakfast every day was also perfectly arranged; the lady tailored the main course to my preferences, and the other dishes were incredibly abundant. I truly ate well and slept comfortably. The scenery here is also absolutely stunning. Many outside tourists come specifically to take photos and check in – those who know, know. It really is beautiful, words can't quite capture it; you have to experience it for yourself to truly understand its beauty. My final thought as I was leaving was that the butler gave me so many thoughtful reminders, it almost made me feel bad about not coming back next time, haha. It was a fantastic experience, 👍🏻"
