"First off, the design and vibe of Huoshan Hotel are simply impeccable. The owner, being a designer themselves, has maximized texture in every aspect, from how light and shadow enhance the building's aesthetic to the selection and pairing of various materials. Each room offers a unique view, with the balcony extending seamlessly from the room, complemented by plants on the terrace, creating a beautiful blend of elegance and enjoyment. The attention to detail truly shows the owner's dedication to this hotel. From the subtle texture of a small bell to the thoughtful pairing of a vase and candles, and from the color scheme of the pool to the harmonious use of full glass panes and wooden doors – everything reveals the owner's masterful control over design and their perfectly balanced operation, all working together. So, whether you're in the hallway, by the pool, in the restaurant, at the coffee bar, or even in the hotel's own craft shop, you can easily snap amazing photos. "The location is superb, just a 5-minute walk from Dali Port. The views are incredible, with the lake-view rooms overlooking Erhai Lake. The front desk staff were excellent – very patient, attentive to my questions, and quick to respond. Facilities: The room was well-equipped with amenities like a mini-fridge, coffee machine, water heater, safe, bathtub, and shower. Cleanliness: Clean and tidy. Environment: The location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk from Dali Port. The scenery is amazing, with lake-view rooms overlooking Erhai Lake. Service: The front desk staff were very friendly and patient, listened carefully to my questions, and answered quickly."

"I always give honest reviews, and I've stayed at many luxury brands before. Indigo is IHG's trendy, modern brand, comparable to W Hotels. The Indigo in Erhai is excellent. You open the window and there's Erhai Lake right there; it feels like you're floating on the lake even when you're in bed. That's an unbeatable feature. The service was fantastic. We happened to arrive at 9 AM with two rooms booked, and the hotel managed to get one of them ready for us right away, which is quite rare. At check-out, because we had a late flight, the hotel kindly extended our check-out time to 4:30 PM. I was truly touched. Since it was summer, breakfast was very busy, and after 9 AM, there was a queue, which is normal. However, upon entering, I saw the supervisor and staff genuinely hustling to speed things up, unlike the lazy attitudes you often encounter at many hotels. Guests can definitely feel that kind of dedication to service. The location is also very convenient, in the Xiaguan urban area, right next to Erhai Park. During peak season in Dali, getting a taxi can be chaotic and slow, so comfortably waiting for a ride on the first floor of the hotel, enjoying the breeze, was a really pleasant experience."

"We booked the private manor villa come with private bath pool and private courtyard. However both private pool and courtyard are surprisingly disappointed. The pool was dirty, moldy, there was just left over water inside maybe by the rain, it had a greyish , murky appearance instead of being clean and inviting. When we questioned the butler he then said if you wanted to use we can clean it up.  One of the main reasons we paid extra to book this room was for the private pool, it’s frustrating and disappointing that it was not in a condition we felt comfortable using. Ended up we didn’t use it despite staying for 3 nights.  The courtyard was poorly maintained and look neglected as well. As you can see all cushion was exposed under the rain and when sun comes out it dried it which caused the cushion get mold and stains. Service overall not bad and helpful. The only incident was when during check in, my wife asked one of the receptionist  politely if they could help me make a booking as the place need call to book. We do not have China number , line that can call or app to book. The lady that was serving us was hesitant to book for me and initially told us to book online ourselves until my wife highlighted the reason to her again. Public place is well maintained, location is good. Walkable distance to ancient town. Also nearby to few other must visit spots.  Overall decent but won’t be coming back."

"I wholeheartedly recommend the Hilton Dali, my stay this time was absolutely delightful from start to finish! The front desk staff were incredibly gentle and patient, explaining everything in detail and actively helping to coordinate any requests I had. Their service really impressed me. What truly surprised me was the hotel's intangible cultural heritage 'Jia Ma' printing experience, where the staff patiently guided us through the process. I booked a standard room, not an executive one, so it was a pleasant surprise to find out that the executive lounge offers à la carte options – that's a huge plus! The view from the 9th-floor lounge is absolutely stunning. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offer an unobstructed view of the entire Erhai Lake, with Cangshan Mountain, the villages, and the lake all visible. The atmosphere at sunset is just magical. If you visit Dali, you absolutely must make time to sit there for a while, feel the breeze, and take in the mountains and the sea – it's incredibly therapeutic and washes away all fatigue. Overall, both the service and the unique experiences were top-notch. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Dali!"

"A truly perfect trip! Here, I enjoyed sunny weather, stunning Erhai Lake views, and a fantastic large balcony. The room layout, including the full-length mirror, was exceptionally beautiful. What sets this hotel apart from others in Ideal State is its deep commitment to the Santorini, Greece-style design. While some other places might only have an exterior that fits the theme, with very ordinary interiors, this hotel extends that Greek Santorini vibe to both its facade and inside the rooms. You can even watch the sunset from bed! And the next morning, with a bit of luck, I captured some amazing 'blue hour' photos. The butler and hotel service were incredibly attentive; basically, anything I needed, the butler would take care of. The afternoon tea, with ginger-syrup drizzled waffles and other delicious treats, was also perfectly to my liking. Actually, I fell in love with this room when I first saw the hotel six months ago (yes, I even preferred it over others with pools!). So, I saved up and finally came today, half a year later. What can I say? I feel incredibly lucky. The weather forecast had predicted cloudy and rainy days for Dali, but the moment I arrived, it cleared up and stayed sunny until I checked out. Plus, it wasn't too crowded when I visited (it might be peak season later on). In short, I highly recommend it! If you're planning a trip to Ideal State, definitely come to this hotel and stay in this room!"

"Had a fantastic stay in Dali! The hotel's location is perfect, right outside the main entrance of the ancient city, making it incredibly convenient for exploring. It's a quiet oasis despite being so central. The room was clean, tidy, and soundproof, so I slept really well. The staff were attentive and thoughtful, even giving me a complimentary flower cake when I checked out – such a lovely touch! I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Dali."

"This is by far the most comfortable hotel I've stayed at in Dali. It's designed with a beautiful garden aesthetic, and the air is just amazing. The whole hotel feels like a grand estate. The staff are so warm and attentive. The facilities are incredibly comprehensive: a book bar, a regular bar, a sports hall, a restaurant, and a gym (with tons of equipment, which I, as someone who works out daily, absolutely loved!). What I want to praise most about the room is the incredibly spacious shower area, with excellent wet/dry separation. I really love this room type. The breakfast selection is rich and varied, and they even have卡通餐盘 (cartoon-themed plates) – so thoughtful for families traveling with children!"

"The hotel is spotless and incredibly quiet and comfortable. The service was absolutely outstanding! Every staff member was dedicated and super friendly to guests. My child experienced altitude sickness for the first time in Yunnan, and the hotel immediately provided oxygen and even offered to accompany us to the doctor. The breakfast was delicious, and room service was very efficient. I highly, highly recommend this place. Before we left, they even gave a small gift to my child. Seriously, I can't recommend this quality hotel enough; it's truly trustworthy."

"The location is about a 10-minute drive from the ancient city, and it's very quiet. The room is spacious, and each double bed is big enough for two people. You can see Erhai Lake from the balcony, but there are a lot of mosquitoes in the summer. Overall, the room is quite clean, though the facilities aren't brand new. The shower water temperature is stable, but the toilet has a slight odor, and the air conditioning seems to adjust temperature quite slowly. Food delivery can be brought directly to the room door, which is very convenient. The staff's service attitude is excellent."
