The courtyard, with its lush greenery and pond, is incredibly photogenic. We stayed on a rainy day, and they even provided a dryer and dehumidifier, which was a nice touch. Our room was in the back, so street noise wasn't an issue at night. It also had a small balcony, perfect for unwinding, and a tatami-style tea area, which I unfortunately didn't get to fully enjoy due to our schedule. The breakfast was a highlight – very nutritious and healthy, and the yuzu tea was delicious! The staff, both the guys and girls, were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay! "

"I had such a lovely stay at Mengjing Yayuan Hotel Dali. Everything about this hotel is beautiful, from the interior to the exterior, every corner feels thoughtfully designed and aesthetically pleasing. The ambience really adds to the whole Dali experience. The location is perfect. It’s right in Dali Ancient City, near the South Gate, so everything is within walking distance. For Muslim travellers, it’s also very convenient as there are halal food options nearby, making it easy to find meals. The service was truly top-notch. One thoughtful gesture that stood out was how they prepared breakfast for us during check-out, just to make sure we didn’t leave on an empty stomach. S uch a small detail, but it meant a lot. I’m really glad I chose to stay here, and I would definitely come back again if I visit Dali."

"The owner was incredibly welcoming and kind. They even picked us up from the bus station and took us to the guesthouse. Our room was spotless and fresh, with no unpleasant smells. The first floor of the guesthouse is absolutely beautiful! 😍 And the rooftop patio is amazing – you can relax on the swing, gaze at Cangshan Mountain in the distance, and admire the old town. It's incredibly peaceful and relaxing! I highly recommend booking here! It's super close to the South Gate of the old town, which is perfect for an evening stroll and experiencing the night market. "Even though our room was located within the ancient city, it was surprisingly quiet. The courtyard had lovely flowers and plants, and the little dog was very friendly and great with kids. Getting around was easy, especially since it was close to an intersection, making it convenient to hail a taxi. The hotel butler was also very helpful, and the view from the third-floor observation deck was beautiful. Overall, it was a pretty good travel experience."

"Choosing Yan Yun Hotel was absolutely the best decision for my trip to Dali. My only regret is that I only booked one night and had to leave so soon. The environment here is absolutely stunning, and the service is top-notch. The breakfast was delicious, and they even offered a complimentary afternoon tea set. "Considering my stamina, I tried to book a guesthouse near the ancient city, and this one is about 400 meters across from the West Gate of Dali Ancient City. We took the No. 4 bus directly from Dali Station, got off at Renmin Road, crossed the street, and walked about 100 meters to the guesthouse. It was very easy to get there even with luggage. The room environment was consistent with what was shown on Ctrip, and I'm very satisfied. The bathroom has a wet/dry separation, and the hygiene conditions are also good. It was raining on our first day, so we watched movies and ordered takeout in the room, which was very comfortable. I would definitely consider staying here again next time!"

GGuest UserExtremely satisfied with this B&B, especially the housekeeper – five-star rating! I had a great time chatting with her; she took care of everything perfectly. And the B&B's doggy ”staff member,” Little Burger, is super cute and cuddly! The decor feels very much like home. When you pull back the curtains on the panoramic French windows, you see the wetland park outside, which is a popular spot for photos – there were even people taking wedding pictures at the entrance. On New Year's Eve, we just drew back the curtains and watched the fireworks show directly from our room! The rooftop offers an absolutely stunning view of the sunset! And the cutest little dog in all of Dali, Burger! I truly love him; even three nights here wasn't enough. Overall, the stay was flawless. Renting a car made getting around very convenient. I'll definitely be back!

EEDWARD LIM L HQianyu Seaview Resort is located on the 19th floor of Building B of Erhai Tianyu International Apartment, featuring six rooms named after natural elements: 'Wind, Flower, Snow, Moon, Cloud, and Dew'. I stayed in the 'Cloud' room, which offered a 180-degree view of Erhai Lake from its balcony. Only the 'Flower' and 'Moon' rooms boast a 270-degree panoramic view, as one side of their balconies is unobstructed by walls. For instance, the 'Moon' room, as shown in the picture, also provides a glimpse of the Xingsheng Bridge to the left. Qianyu provides complimentary fruits and beverages, and the breakfast spread is generous. There are also many restaurants nearby. The resort is close to Erhai Park, making it convenient for a morning stroll to Ernan for photos. Since it doesn't face Erdong, you can only capture a corner of the morning glow and the glistening lake.

The environment was beautiful, and the rooftop terrace offered stunning views of the Cangshan sunrise and sunset, overlooking the ancient city – truly delightful. The room was bathed in warm sunlight, and enjoying tea while gazing at the ancient city from the bay window was a real treat. The owners were incredibly kind, warm, and genuine, always ready to help with any request. They gave us practical tips and food recommendations that didn't disappoint. There's also a very friendly dog named Wangcai and two adorable cats. When we left, they even helped us with our checked luggage, showing genuine care for their guests. I'll definitely recommend this place to friends and will choose it again if I ever return. I'm currently in a Lijiang B&B, unable to sleep, and the contrast makes me miss that place even more – it had a special kind of warmth.

The Mo sisters are incredibly friendly, chatty, and helpful, making the entire place feel like a beautifully maintained, quaint home. A few highlights: Thoughtful Details: The beds come equipped with heating pads for colder nights, which was such a nice touch. Amenities: I absolutely loved the peaceful courtyard and the rooftop area. Service: They are very attentive; for instance, if you need brighter reading lights, you just have to ask. The details are very high-quality, and you can really feel the thoughtful design. It's located in a quiet corner of the old city, making it convenient to get everywhere. Both the afternoon tea and breakfast were exquisite and offered a wide variety, making them well worth the price alone! The service was also exceptionally attentive; the front desk lady helped me carry my very heavy luggage up and down, which I felt terrible about. I just hope the owner hires a couple of strong people to help the ladies out, and I wish them all the best!

CcharlottemomoThis past May Day holiday, I brought my family to Dali for a vacation ⛱️ and chose this South France-style guesthouse located in Haidong, where we stayed for 5 days. From the moment our trip approached, the guesthouse thoughtfully set up a chat group with a butler who updated us on the weather and reminded us to pack appropriate clothes. Upon arrival, they helped us with our luggage and kindly informed us about afternoon tea 🫖 and late-night dessert 🍮 times, which was very considerate. The guesthouse is located in Wenbi Village, a popular spot recently, and it's not too far from the airport, making the location quite convenient. Since the village is on a hill and parking spaces are scarce, the guesthouse arranged for our rental car to be parked at a nearby resident's lot and provided a shuttle service for transfers. Traveling with a child this time, his favorite part was the large bathtub. Every evening, he eagerly looked forward to a milk bubble bath 🫧, and he also loved the Basque cheesecake for afternoon tea 🍰. If I were to offer some suggestions, it would be to provide baby slippers, toothbrushes, and toothpaste for rooms with children. Perhaps also offer some parent-child interactive activities, like making flower cakes, which would be an even nicer touch. Also, the breakfast could be a bit more varied; after staying for several days, it got a little repetitive, haha. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay!

Rooms were spacious with expansive views, and the setting was private and tranquil. The courtyard design was exquisite, and the evening lighting was incredibly romantic. Service was incredibly attentive; from check-in to check-out, the staff were always smiling and ready to assist. They even helped us arrange transportation and book tickets. Cleanliness was exceptional; towels and bath towels were replaced daily, and everything was thoroughly sanitized, making our stay completely worry-free and reassuring. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Dali!
