"We first reserved a bed in the dorm but the dorms are separate and not mixed as shown on trip(incongruity between Trip and the reality) then we decided to stay in a single room (the price is the same , 1 euro more).
The room is simple but has everything you need
It is spacious and with a big window.
The toilet has a 🛁 and it is located at the end of a huge and wonderful market.
There are common spaces really cosy.

"This stay was fantastic! The location is super convenient, just a few minutes' walk to the subway station and shopping areas, making getting around and shopping a breeze. The room was clean, tidy, and odor-free, with soft and comfortable bedding and excellent blackout curtains – I got a great night's sleep. The staff were warm and attentive, always ready to answer questions and quick to respond. The breakfast had a rich variety of fresh options. The value for money here is unbeatable; I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in town!"

"Dali Zhaoge Youth Hostel is simply phenomenal! Zhaoge features both a front and a back courtyard. The front courtyard is exceptionally peaceful, offering a cafe where you can sit back, enjoy a latte, and unwind in absolute comfort. In contrast, the back courtyard is incredibly vibrant! It boasts a communal kitchen perfect for cooking and socializing with friends, friendly resident cats that will rub against your legs, and options to play pool and board games. Because there was a big are to chill. In the shared room some people were smoking inside at night and I couldn't sleep because of the smell but that's not the hostels fault"

"This hostel is located about 10 to 15 minutes walk from Dali Ancient City, but still offers convenient access to amenities. The surrounding area has plenty of local restaurants, bike rental shops and a nearby market. With a police station next door, safety is not a concern.
I stayed in a dormitory room with an ensuite bathroom. The hostel staff and cleaners generally maintain the space well. However, cleanliness can quickly compromised due to inconsiderate guests. That said, I observed that the team consistently cleaned the facilities at regular intervals, so the issue wasn’t due to a lack of effort from the management.
One highlight is the rooftop washing machine with complimentary detergent, which is such an excellent convenience for travelers.
The front desk staff were helpful and approachable. They offered practical travel advice, such as recommendations for electric bike rentals and guidance on typical market prices. I found this especially useful for planning my days around Dali.
The beds are comfortable and each comes with an individual locker and curtain, which gives me the personal space and security.
The hostel also encourages a warm communal atmosphere. I appreciated the small gatherings in the lobby, such as casual singing sessions. There is also a WeChat group for guests to join occasional outings.
Overall, I had a pleasant and enjoyable stay. It’s a solid choice for travelers looking for a clean, friendly and sociable hostel experience in Dali."

"Facilities: The facilities are complete. You can eat, drink and have fun in the yard without having to go out. The restaurant is amazing! ! ! As soon as the dishes were served, people started to eat them with relish. No wonder it is called Taotietang. Not inferior to any restaurant outside.
Hygiene: Disposable bedding! ! ! There is a cleaning lady every day, it is very clean and comfortable.
Environment: The yard is huge. You can watch the sunrise and sunset and enjoy life in the youth hostel. The bed is super comfortable and it is very private.
Service: The staff are very enthusiastic and will recommend fun places in Dali. You can listen to music and have a drink in the courtyard at night. Many activities will also be organized to maximize the experience.
I really don't want to leave. Can you offer an annual pass package? ! !"

SSunmurtThe price-performance ratio is excellent, and they didn't raise prices during the summer vacation. A truly conscientious business. It's also very close to the ancient city, and renting electric scooters is very convenient. There's also an open-air movie theater and a relaxation area inside, which is great. My child loved it.

The location is very convenient for getting around; the hotel offers electric scooter rentals, and there are car rental agencies and bus stops just a few hundred meters away. It's also very close to Yincang Road and Pingdeng Road, which have many interesting small shops. If you're looking for morning coffee, evening drinks, or independent bookstores, they're all within walking distance. The hotel has spacious common areas; the lobby on the first floor has a great atmosphere for socializing, while the second floor is perfect for studying (and there are cute cats to pet!).

In the street of the hotel are a lot of shops. Also restaurants. You can get (Chinese) breakfast in the morning and lunch and dinner in the evening. At the big road are also a lot of restaurants.
The hotel is modern, clean and the rooms are roomy enough. Of course, the big rooms will be more roomy.
Everything is clean, neat and working.
Just the wifi is a little bit unstable.
A really plus for this hotel are the beds. They are very comfortable with nice thick duvet and clean linens.
I stayed in this hotel in the low season. So the price for this hotel was really neat. But even in the high season, it will be worth every penny.

GGuest UserI was a little scared when I first got on the bus into the village, but after entering it exceeded my expectations! Being able to stay in a hotel with such facilities at this price next to the airport is really cost-effective.
It is a restaurant and accommodation integrated into one. Meals can be packed and sent upstairs to eat. I ordered sweet and sour pork ribs and stir-fried vegetables, which were delicious.
The rooms are newly decorated, better than hotels in the city. TV, WiFi, air conditioning, bathroom all worked cleanly and in good condition. The shower is a piano-key four-speed shower, so comfortable! There was a little problem with the WiFi in the middle. They came to fix it right away after I called. It was much more efficient than other hotels 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
It's super close to the airport, about ten minutes drive, and you can take me to the airport at around five in the morning, thank you 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

The room size is quite small for 4 ppl but we stay here for 1 night so it’s acceptable with price and location. The location is perfect, few minute walk to bus station no.4 and you can just take this bus all the way to three pagoda, or Dali old town. From Dali old town, you can also take didi to the famous lake. Dali old town is very happening at night.

110wangeVshenmeAs a car owner from Jiangsu, I come to Dali for a period every year. I've been to all the popular spots; now I just come to Dali to stay, live, and relax. I've stayed at Chaoge and Lili, but I most frequently choose Taoxi.
Chaoge has the best accommodation environment among the three, no exaggeration. However, a lot of people drink there, mostly older guys like me, so if you enjoy drinking, Chaoge is a good choice. Lili has the best atmosphere; you can play board games and billiards, and parking is available on the hill. But Lili's only drawback is that it's too far from the old town, which makes dining inconvenient. So, I usually switch between Lili and Taoxi.
I've been on this trip for over two months now, and I've stayed at Taoxi for nearly 40 days. Taoxi is quiet, right by the old town, and has a great environment. I particularly like Taoxi's sunken public area. It's perfect for solo travelers. Plus, since the change of ownership, Taoxi's prices are now the lowest of the three. Previously, Chaoge, Taoxi, and Lili all cost around ¥65-68, but now Taoxi at ¥40 offers the best value for money.
So, for anyone looking for a hostel, consider Taoxi for both dining and accommodation. It's also incredibly convenient for eating out in the old town.

GGuest UserThe usual hostel is undergoing renovations at the moment, so the actual accommodation is around the corner. I was quite lost until I texted the 'late entrance' phone number by chance and the owners father found me.
There is no bar, pool table or restaurant currently accessible but I'm sure it will be great when it reopens.
The room was lovely but very cold with a big gap under the door and a hole the size of a postcard in the bathroom. I think a more updated profile to reflect current amenities would be beneficial.
