"The overall service and food were decent. The Southeast Asian-themed rooms and large tropical plants were very distinctive. The rooms were spacious, and the layout was well-designed. After a four-night stay, I felt quite comfortable and the space felt open. The only minor hiccup was when I was packing before check-out and realized I had forgotten my child's swimming ring at the pool the night before. I searched for quite a while but couldn't find it. The staff said they hadn't seen or found it. Since it was bought in another country and I was worried I wouldn't be able to replace it with the same model, I was quite anxious. I went back and forth several times. Finally, on my last attempt, I asked the front desk staff for help, and they contacted the pool manager. The swimming ring was retrieved from the staff room. Luckily, I discovered it in advance and it didn't delay our afternoon flight home. Even though it was busy during the holiday, breakfast seating was managed quite orderly, and refills were prompt. The food offered during happy hour was also good, so overall, it was excellent. Getting to MixC City was very convenient, with an exclusive passage. MixC City itself has two subway lines, making travel very easy. The lobby staff were very thoughtful, helping with luggage and opening car doors. The front desk staff were also friendly and efficient. I highly recommend staying here."

"A beautiful sea-view apartment with distant views of the blue sea and sky. The butler service was excellent and very attentive. They had the air conditioning on for us before we arrived, helped us check in, explained the room details, and even bought us a souvenir. It was a very pleasant trip, and we'll definitely come again."

"An unexpectedly great stay! The hotel is very thoughtful towards children. Shortly after we checked into the room, they proactively brought over kids' toothbrushes and slippers. The children's playground facilities are incredibly rich, with both indoor and outdoor options, allowing adults to exercise in the nearby gym simultaneously. The hotel is close to a shopping mall and the beach, offering a great experience for both recreation and shopping. Plus, you can even borrow sand-playing tools from the front desk – the attention to detail is excellent!"

"I chose the Seaview Meiju Hotel on Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street for my trip to Xiamen, and my stay was absolutely perfect – I highly recommend it! First off, the location is superb. The hotel is situated on Lujiang Road in Siming District, right next to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street and the ferry terminal, making it incredibly close to Gulangyu Island. Getting around is extremely convenient; attractions like Xiamen University and Nanputuo Temple are just a short drive away, saving both time and effort. Secondly, the sea view is magnificent. I stayed in a sea-view room, and opening the window revealed stunning views of Gulangyu Island and the vast sea directly opposite. The sunset and night views, especially, were captivating, adding a unique romantic touch to my trip. Furthermore, the hotel facilities are complete and the hygiene is excellent. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft, and the bathroom facilities were comprehensive with good water pressure. They even provided a complimentary laundry room, which was a thoughtful touch. The breakfast selection was rich, a mix of Chinese and Western dishes, and tasted great. Finally, the service was exceptionally attentive. The front desk staff were warm and considerate, patiently answering my questions during check-in and thoughtfully providing a guide to nearby attractions and dining spots. They even gave me some fruit when I left, making me feel truly at home. Overall, the value for money is excellent, and I will definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Xiamen. Five-star rating!"

"I spent the whole day at the hotel, enjoying the quiet and beautiful atmosphere. However, it's not always easy to find peace and quiet at Haiyue Villa, haha, because it's full of families with kids. You'll find children of all ages, from babies in arms to preschoolers in strollers and elementary school kids running around. Teenagers might find it a bit boring. When I was planning, I debated for a long time because some reviews mentioned it was an older hotel, about ten years old. But honestly, I found it perfectly acceptable. The overall decor isn't super luxurious; the sofa and carpet patterns might be a bit old-fashioned, and it's not very high-tech, but the overall comfort was good, and my daughter loved it here. The hotel is right next to Huangcuo Beach, just across the road. As soon as you enter the grounds, you feel instantly relaxed – full vacation mode! It's a huge property, lush with green trees, like a whole resort area itself. It's divided into the Main Building, Water Garden, and Mountain Villa, with prices increasing accordingly. We booked a Deluxe Sea View room on the 4th floor and got a free upgrade on arrival to a Nalong (Milk Dragon) themed full sea view room on the 5th floor. The view was even more expansive, overlooking the pool, green trees, the ocean, and ships – absolutely beautiful, comparable to Sanya. The room was spacious, 46 square meters, with a round bathtub on the balcony where you could soak while enjoying the sea view. That experience was absolutely amazing. The Nalong theme was everywhere! There were Nalong duvet covers, two adorable Nalong plushies and throw pillows on the bed, a Nalong mat on the floor, and Nalong murals on the walls. Most importantly, there was a sizable Nalong tent, which kids would surely love. I have to rave about the swimming pools. In the main building area, we visited the outdoor infinity pool and several other pools downstairs from the guest rooms. Not only were the pool views stunning, but they were also quite clean, and there were plenty of lifeguards. Swim rings and kickboards were provided free of charge, and there were also some paid activities to choose from. Through the pool area, there's a small gate that you can open with your room card. After walking through an underpass, you arrive at Huangcuo Beach. Swimming doesn't seem to be allowed, but everyone was wading and playing in the water. Even though it's a public beach, it wasn't crowded. The sand was quite fine, and the waves weren't too big, though there were occasional bits of floating trash. The breakfast buffet was good, but it was incredibly crowded and noisy. If you went later, you'd have to queue. They offered a variety of Southern Fujian (Minan) snacks, and the Satay noodles, Mianxian paste, Guo Bian Hu (pot-side paste), and Peanut Soup were all delicious 😋 The fried dough sticks, pudding, and oatmeal bowls were also very tasty 😋 Oh, by the way, our butler, Xiao Bin, provided excellent service! He helped me book dinner reservations and even arranged a two-hour late check-out! Highly recommended!"

"When I first arrived at the hotel, I thought the location was a bit out of the way, but I was actually very happy with the room and the views. Didi (ride-sharing app) always found a car almost instantly. While it might be a bit further from some attractions, it only added about ten minutes to the ride, and the fare difference wasn't significant. Plus, the room rate was so much cheaper compared to other sea-view rooms! 😃😃😃 (The room was very new and the bathtub was great too!)"

"We stayed in the Milk Dragon family room with our baby. They provided all the basic kids' amenities like toothbrushes, shower gel, bathrobes, and slippers. The swimming pool bathroom was also very clean, and breakfast was quite extensive. What's most worth mentioning is Miles, who provided excellent service. He was always responsive to our needs and had a great attitude! He was much more attentive than the previous butler we had. Before, food deliveries could only be left in the delivery locker, but now they can even help bring them up to the room. Overall, it was a much better experience than our last stay."

The morning sun sparkled on the shimmering sea like scattered diamonds, and in the evening, the sunset painted the sky orange, making the horizon look like a spilled palette. This sea-view suite gave me an unforgettable seaside vacation. The room design was simple yet stylish, with light wood furniture paired with off-white fabric sofas, creating an immediate sense of relaxation. The most delightful surprise was the two-meter-wide panoramic bed, perfectly aligned with the ocean. I fell asleep to the sound of waves every night and woke up gently to the first rays of dawn over the sea. The high-thread-count Egyptian cotton bedding was incredibly smooth, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathroom was equally impressive—a huge bathtub right next to the floor-to-ceiling window allowed me to take in the entire ocean view while bathing. The hotel thoughtfully provided sea salt bath bombs and aromatherapy candles, showcasing their attention to detail. The toiletries were from a well-known brand, and their woody scent surprisingly complemented the sea breeze. The balcony was my favorite spot. In the morning, I'd enjoy a pour-over coffee while watching seagulls glide over the water. In the afternoon, I'd lie on a rattan chair, flipping through a book, letting the slightly salty sea breeze caress my face. In the evening, I'd sip a glass of red wine, listening to the ebb and flow of the tide. The hotel also thoughtfully provided beach mats and parasols, and a two-minute walk led to their private beach, which had fine, soft sand, few people, and beautiful scenery. Regarding dining, the hotel's breakfast buffet offered a wide variety, with the freshly made seafood congee and local specialties being highly recommended. The afternoon tea at the executive lounge was also worth trying; the desserts were exquisite, the savory items delicious, and combined with the unbeatable sea view, it offered excellent value for money. The service team was always smiling; they proactively upgraded my room upon check-in and even gifted me handmade shell souvenirs upon check-out. This stay truly allowed me to experience the poetic life of ”facing the sea.” Whether for a romantic getaway, a family trip, or simply to unwind, this sea-view hotel is an excellent choice. I look forward to my next encounter with the sea."

"My stay at InterContinental Xiamen Seaview was a perfect 10/10, ideal for anyone looking for a relaxing, 'lie-flat' vacation. The room directly faced the sea, and the sunset glow streaming in created a wonderful ambiance. Both the hotel's soft and hard facilities were top-notch. "This villa hotel is my top choice for a vacation on Gulangyu Island, truly living up to its reputation as a historic mansion with profound heritage. Upon arrival, someone immediately helped with our luggage, saving us the trouble of carrying it around on the island. With ancient banyan trees swaying, and Sunlight Rock overhead, the location is exceptionally unique, close to the beach. Every morning, I woke up to a beautiful view outside the window, with the enchanting seascape unfolding before me. The hygiene is excellent, the service is great, and every photo taken here turns out perfectly. It’s a wonderful place to quietly soak in the captivating sea views."
