"Stayed for 2 nights. Lovely location, clean rooms, the bathroom really well done out, lovely shower. The room was cozy and we had everything we needed. The only thing which would mention, the weather was already quite warm in the last few weeks so our room was very humid, warm, and unfortunately the window wouldnt stay open. If the air circulation would be sorted in the room, that would help when the temperature is higher outside."

"What can I say..? Well the location was pure perfection, we loved having the green space to go on walks with our daughter and also having other days out not too far away. The atmosphere of the place was just why you’d want. The host is nothing but amazing and it feels like home as soon as you walk in. She was so accommodating to us and our daughter and we all loved spending time around and inside the inn. Our room number 4 was so lovey and cosy! Really warm, clean and just a perfect weekend getaway. We was bought the stay as a Christmas gift but the value for money is worth it! The dinnners, puddings, breakfasts and drinks are all lovely and compliments to the chef and the landlady herself who also does the cooking. They had the gym and a hot tub which we didn’t use but did have a look around and couldn’t fault it. It was all clean and ready for the next person to use. There’s nothing around in the immediate vicinity until the next village and so it was just a perfect quiet stay. No loud noises or noisy neighbours. And the landlady’s pet Holly is the most adorable friendly dog you will ever meet. I could have stayed playing with her all day! With so much history to this place it really is so interesting and such a lovely place. I honestly couldn’t recommend enough. If your looking for friendly staff, good food and good comfy and clean stay then here is the place to be. It just felt like home❤️"

"This Bed and Breakfast is the finest we’ve ever been to. Caroline and Colin really know what they are doing. Caroline is energized and welcoming with a “can do” attitude that shines. Colin cooked up the most delicious breakfast. Our room was lovely and our bed linens were crisp and smelled so luscious. We melted right in. We didn’t want to leave. Our regret was we were there only one night and didn’t get to enjoy the garden."

"Stayed for 3 nights with our puppy and we lived it. The place was spotlessly clean! I wish I had the cleaners. We had a very spacious room overlooking the quay and managed to park right outside. We absolutely loved being within walking distance of all the fab places to eat. Appledore has been our happy place for last 12 years. Highly recommend it."
