"The surroundings are excellent. Right across the street, Xianglinyuan is a restaurant frequented by celebrities. With two secure card-access gates, it feels very safe. The location is right in the heart of Dali, with a cruise ship dock downstairs, offering an expansive view of the beautiful sea. The room was clean and tidy, with disposable towels, which was a nice touch. The air conditioning provides both hot and cold air, and the host thoughtfully placed a humidifier in the room, so it wasn't dry when I slept, and my nose felt great the next morning. The AC was very warm, and the hygiene and facilities were truly good. There was even a Xiaomi dryer, so I could dry my towel and not have to carry a damp one with me the next day. You can feed seagulls downstairs, no need to go all the way to Xiaoputuo. In the evening, the front desk even provides red bean soup, so you can enjoy a warm dessert back at the guesthouse – very comforting. The service was incredibly attentive; breakfast can be delivered to your room. Just send a WeChat message to the housekeeper, and they'll bring it up, which is perfect for late sleepers. The owner found out it was my birthday during check-in and specially prepared a little surprise. The experience was truly full of pleasant surprises, and the price was very affordable. It's an incredible value compared to places in Shuanglang that cost over 1000 yuan, and the sea view is just as good, if not better. I'll definitely recommend it to friends."

"Overall, the hotel offered a great experience. For those nitpickers complaining about outdated facilities, it's a 10-year-old hotel that's been maintained exceptionally well. If you want new, go stay in a formaldehyde-ridden room! The lobby is quite unique and grand. Check-in was smooth with a butler who made communication and problem-solving easy. I forgot to close the screen window when I went out, worried about bugs, and it was sorted instantly via WeChat. The room size is ample, and the balcony view is nice. The bedding is good, and the pillows are comfortable. They even provide bed rails for those with kids. Beyond that, it's a standard, excellent star-rated hotel. There's a courtyard in front of the lobby for relaxing. My wife wanted to try local specialties like Xidoufen and Barener Si, so we skipped breakfast, thus no comment on that. This is also one of only two Tesla Supercharging stations built at hotels in Dali (the other being Junfa Pullman). Tesla isn't stupid, they choose their locations wisely. The location is good, at the foot of a hillside, very quiet. It's very close to the three cableways for Cangshan. For exploring the western route (Dali Ancient City, Xizhou Ancient Town, Hai She Park), this is the best place to stay."

"We originally booked for only one night, but after staying, we found the room to be cozy and clean, and the bed soft and comfortable, so we decisively extended our stay for another night. A special thanks to the young lady at the front desk who, knowing we had an early train and wouldn't have time for breakfast, arranged for the auntie to prepare it for us in advance. She was so warm and thoughtful! I never expected to find such a high-value guesthouse in Dali Ancient City. I've already recommended it to friends!"

"An unexpectedly wonderful trip! This was my first time staying at a Pullman hotel, and it felt as warm as springtime. Huge thanks to Coco for upgrading my room; it was spacious, bright, and impeccably clean! They even provided a complimentary breakfast for two! The breakfast spread was incredibly rich, and the service was excellent. Coco, the butler, was very responsive to all my requests, even helping me switch to a latex pillow. It was a very pleasant experience! I'll definitely recommend it to friends, and I'll choose to stay here again next time!"

"We had a great stay at The Spirited Silky Guesthouse in Dali in October and November 2025. We stayed there twice over the course of three weeks on our cycle trip to and from Shangri-la. The hotel is in a convenient place, just on the outer edge of the Old Town. It's very close to all of the action but it's in a quiet location down a side street. The inside of the hotel is in the old style. It looks superb featuring a huge fish pond in a peaceful courtyard. As soon as you arrive, the staff team is only too happy to assist with anything you need and look after you throughout your stay.. Xiao Fen and Xiao Lou were both wonderfully helpful. The breakfast is delicious with noodles, Momo and vegetables, eggs, toast, butter and a choice of jams. Little desserts. Tea, and Coffee. All beautifully served. The cleaning staff are very helpful and our room was tidied and restocked every day. We also had the opportunity to try on the traditional ethnic group costumes as well as tasting some of the local teas. We highly recommend The Spirited Silky Guesthouse!"

"The lady owner is very kind and friendly to the guests. She will prepare homecooked mixian for her guests in the morning, which is very delicious and we immediately fall in love with the mixian. The environment is very zen, you can see her cat is trying to play with the fishes in the pond. We enjoyed our stay, regardless of the weather sunny day or raining day. We stayed different places in our trip to Yunnan, and we rated this place is the best place we ever stayed throughout the trip. Dali Ancient City is opposite of the main road, reachable within walking distance. You can even rent motorbikes and ride to Ancient City from the shops."

"We arrived at 2 AM, and the owner still came out to greet us, which was incredibly kind. Since we arrived so late, they even upgraded our room. The rooms here are really spacious, about three times the size of a typical hotel room. The room's location is also fantastic; the balcony offers an unobstructed sea view. If you're looking for a sea-view room, this is definitely the place to go!"

"【Tranquility】Yule·Buddhist Tea Space — Calligraphy and Tea Tasting: The tearoom is definitely the highlight of the guesthouse; it's so cozy and impeccably clean. The owner clearly has excellent taste and a discerning eye! Welcome fruit: Abundant and delicious, the flower cake was particularly good, even better than those bought in Dali Old Town. Tea and snack set: We had white tea, and the tea set was spotless, adding to the cozy atmosphere. Plus, the little cats and dogs in the courtyard are absolutely adorable! 😍"

"This is one of my favourite homestay in Dali. They are very helpful and kind . I have been requesting for quite a lot of help - collect parcel in behalf of me and they even do extra miles go to pickup my parcel. Save me extra supper, introducing nearby food to eat, culture sharing, they do provide for charter car service - but this will need to extra request. We booked for 2 nights and they give free pickup or drop off x1. They will text you a day before 💛. They have a very nice view for photos at their top floor. Food are simple yet light just perfect for us. Location wise is quite near roughly 5-7 minutes walk from hotel to Dali old town . Overall , 5/5"

"This hotel is located right on Erhai Lake. The king-size rooms offer a sea view but suffer from significant road noise, which can be tough for light sleepers. The front desk was very accommodating when I asked to switch rooms. The twin rooms face the mountains, so they're quiet, but the air conditioning was too hot, even when turned off. Eventually, we had to ask for a portable fan, and by the third night, the temperature was finally comfortable. The breakfast is extensive, featuring local specialties, and members even receive daily treats like fermented glutinous rice balls. The best part of the hotel is definitely the 11th-floor gym and swimming pool. During the day, the views of Erhai Lake are breathtaking, and the pool water is a comfortable temperature, so it's easy to jump right in. The hotel is also conveniently located next to Erhai Park, which is worth exploring if you have time."
