"Everything good but provides blankets rather than quits cottons so it may chilly in deep winter for some eastern Asian people. Parking well and easy access to downtown Cafe."

"Went there for a meal and catch up with friends as 3 couples. We are locals. We haven't been there since the renovations were done. Nice renovations to the hotel. Excellent live band playing in new outdoor area. Drinks prices are reasonable and staff friendly. The $15 lunch menu during the week is probably ok. Before the renovations, the meals were reasonably priced, great value and a large serves. . BUT. The Dinner menu is expensive, poor to average quality and small. Most of the meals were overdone on our table. Different Kitchen Staff. They are now affiliated with another hotel in the Hunter Valley which is also expensive compared to other local pubs meals. They advertise a Courtesy Bus, but No Bus is running. A major disappointment. Unlikely to go back as locals. We will stick with other pubs and clubs in Cessnock area."

"Owner is very nice. We arrive around 5pm and have burge just besides the restaurant. When we ask her where we can find the supermarket nearby, she ask us what we need to buy. Then she told us no need to buy and give us noodles, vegatables and fruit"

"Catching up with husband’s family for dinner. The food was amazing great pub food at a reasonable price. Nice restaurant and atmosphere staff were friendly and thoughtful. Definitely go back again my husband really enjoyed the beer. Nice to catch up with family. Spoke with the owner he was a very knowledgeable on the beer and the history of the hotel great pub."
