As for the room, it's typical of the hotel: housekeeping is done daily, but to have the bath towels changed, you have to put them on the floor, otherwise they won't do it."

"They charged me €95 for one night because there were no hotels available due to a swimming race in Ceuta, and this was the only room I could find, which someone must have cancelled. The normal price is €75. And the cleanliness... well, I found a strip of wax left by the previous guest in the bathroom. They clearly didn't clean very well. It's unpleasant to find that."

"This hotel is one of the worst I've stayed at. Do not book here; there are better options in Ceuta. Issues include: 1. False advertising about parking. 2. Dirty hallways. 3. Hot lobby. 4. Faulty faucet. 5. Broken room safe. 6. Outdated blow dryer. 7. Unhelpful front desk, no hotel receipt. 8. No restaurant or bar. 9. No "Do Not Disturb" sign. 10. First room was dirty and used; staff didn't believe us until shown. 11. Used water bottles in the new room, indicating poor cleaning. I would never recommend staying here."

"The location was amazing! Walking either direction, 2 to 3 blocks, right or left, there was the sea with great beaches. However, the hotel itself had a particular scent, the same as the room. I realized later on that it was to camouflage the mold odor. It was not that obvious, but their storage room was definitely moldy. I understand that Mediterranean areas suffer from that, but this hotel definitely needs to treat this issue. In addition, there was no one at the reception on weekends. During the week, the person in charge was sick and there was no replacement. The only information I received and advice was from Amina, the lady who took care of the rooms. She gave me short stories of Ceuta and its multicultural life."

"As I walked into the lobby I wondered what the weird smell was that air fresheners were trying unsuccessfully to cover up. I registered and asked about breakfast. "The restaurant is closed". Not a word about its having burnt down. I eventually realised from reading the previous review in German that there had been a major fire and that the sprinkler system had failed. One whole wing of the hotel is closed off. It's extremely annoying that there was no notice given nor any rebate offered. Even worse, they only managed to get the Internet WiFi back up and running on the afternoon of my second day. I had spent a fortune both on roaming fees and in cafés that had WiFi. This is when the lack of even one English-language TV channel on the room became a real pain. The staff saved this review from one star. However, I can't say that I enjoyed my stay and would not book again for the foreseeable future. I'd advise others not to either. "
