Welcome to our page! We believe you will not find another cabin in the area that shows each piece to be more lovingly and individually selected. Please note: Holiday times may require a 2 or 3 night minimum stay. Please inquire of host. And, no checkout on Thanksgiving Day!!Look at the radiant couple in the last of the photos! They just recently got married at the cabin and said their day was perfect. We love that!Spring is spectacular in Pine Mountain Club!Additional Amenities: We own the property adjacent to the cabin, a park-like space available to our guests! It contains a horseshoe pit, horseshoes included; a rock pond with a waterfall (filled in the spring); a picnic table; many rustic and well-used seating areas and benches; three covered benches for reading or relaxation; a wishing well; a windmill; walking paths; and decorative garden art. We hope our guests enjoy this new property and new feature of Anya's Cottages. Our cabin has been used by more than one film crew (see Frazier Park Recut and The No Problem Zone with Eric Roberts!) and for a number of club retreats. It borders the protected national forest and has a soothing, seasonal stream on the property. It is private and tucked in tall pines but is walking distance to the village where you can shop for groceries, browse for antiques, go to the local coffeehouse, dine, and listen to local music. The cabin has undergone a deep cleaning and an attractive renovation, which includes TV with Roku; spa tile in the main bathroom; a rain shower head; Pergo flooring up and downstairs; a full-sized stove, oven, and new hood; programmable coffeemaker; vacuum cleaner, mop, and broom; some new furniture and decorations; new glasses, knives, and pot and pan set; small coffee grinder; brand new blender; brand new electric kettle; DVD player and some DVD's; log bed for the second bedroom (now in addition to the one in the primary bedroom); IKEA twin bed and mattresses; some new pillows--both down and hypo-allergenic; and, new fixtures in the downstairs bath; new paint throughout, new sheets, pillowcases, comforters, and towels. All carpets are brand new! But, most importantly: we have hooked up the new propane heater! And, what a difference it makes. Having gas heat in the bedroom/main bath area keeps you more toasty than most of the cabins do which tend to have electric heaters here in PMC. And, upstairs, the wood stove keeps you as warm as you'd like! There are two large ceiling fans in the upstairs living area and plenty of ventilation. And, we now have air conditioning. This 1200+ square foot, two-story cabin has two bedrooms (one with a queen-sized log bed and a twin, the other with a full-sized log bed and a twin); two fold-out sleeping pads; a big couch; one-and-one-half baths; is paneled in knotty pine throughout; and, filled with authentic vintage mountain furnishings, antiques, and cozy quilts. It also has several decks where you can relax in pure solitude and privacy and enjoy the tranquil scenery. But, we also have Starlink installed.Be sure to visit Fern's Lake which is half a block away. Kids, bring your fishing poles (barbless catch and release)! In winter, you can sled just steps behind the property. The clubhouse in the village offers many activities and amenities, including golf, a new outdoor pool (open from Memorial Day to October), a bistro, and a recreation room for the children. Mount Abel (Cerro Noroeste) and Mount Pinos (over 8800 feet) are nearby. Pine Mountain Club also offers a number of festivals throughout the year. Guests will be allowed the use of complementary passes. They must be returned to the wood holder on the green desk in the downstairs hall. GUESTS WILL BE CHARGED $100 (unfortunately, that is not a typo) FOR EACH MISSING POOL PASS (the white magnetic card). There is no exception. The HOA has changed its policy. Those are the fees that owners will be charged for each missing pool pass. So, please be extra careful about that so that you won’t be charged. The pool charges a $5.00 fee per day per user. The cabin sits at 5400 feet, so come and enjoy the snow in the winter, the bright blue skies and sunshine in the spring and summer, and the colors in autumn. You will not be disappointed.About pets:Pets allowed: dogs and cats (limit 2 total).Well-behaved pets welcome with vrbo's pet fee..About checkOut:Check out before 12:00 PM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.Very Kid-friendly.About checkIn:Check in after 2:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 21.About events:Events allowed: family gatherings, birthday parties, weddings.Maximum event attendees: 15,Contact owner if you wish a large gathering..

Things to Do:The Alta Sierra community is around 6,000 ft elevation with beautiful large Sequoia trees surrounding the neighborhood. The area has cool summer days and snow during the winter. This cabin is nestled in the Sequoia National Forest and is centrally located. Activities all around—3 mi. from Alta Sierra Ski Resort, 7 mi. from Kernville, 8 mi. from Lake Isabella, 7 mi. from water rafting, and a few miles from hiking/biking trails or Off-Highway Vehicle trails! Cool summer days and snow in the white winter. The cabin offers a beautiful indoor fireplace, central heating, many beds, 3 TVs, fully equipped kitchen, dining room and living room. Winter time - enjoy the ski resort or tubing in the snow. The property will have lots of snow to play in during the winter (as Mother Nature permits!) During the winter, four wheel drive and chains are required to pull into the driveway and sometimes to get to the ski resort. Our cabin road is plowed daily, however the driveway is steep for normal vehicles. Warmer days - Kernville offers tube-floating down the river, a large park with basketball courts, adoring local antique shops, and lots of dining. Or cruise to Lake Isabella where they offer water rentals at French Gulch Marina. Find yourself wanting a bit of excitement, enjoy water rafting at Kern River Outfitters. Anytime - enjoy hiking and biking trails, Unal and Whiskey Flats are a few of our favorites. The area also offers off-highway trails for dirts bikes, quads and more at Cyrus Canyon OHV Park and Bull Run OHV.____________________________________________The Space:Room 1: 1 CalKing Bed, TV Room 2: 2 Full Beds, 1 Twin Bed, TVRoom 3: (upstairs) 4 Twin BedsLiving room has natural rock wood-burning fireplace, large screen TV, 3-seater sofa with 2 built-in recliners, and 2 retro La-Z-Boys. There is no damage near our cabin, surrounding cabins, the Alta Sierra community, Lake Isabella, or Kernville. Firefighters did an amazing job protecting all the communities! **Upstairs room: At this time, the loft ladder to the 2nd level can NOT be put away or made inaccessible. If you have small children or pets, please ensure safety gate is placed around ladder. Safety gate it located behind the living room sofa. **Forest animals: you will likely see deer every day from the windows/deck. They travel in packs and are very timid, most will run when the hear/see anything. There are also lots of birds (see our bird book!), squirrels, chipmunks, and lots of other smaller, harmless animals. However, we have heard of neighbors encountering bob cats and less so, bears. Please use caution while outdoors/strolling in the neighborhood, especially when with small children and/or pets. **Trash can: located on the south side of the road (it is the only trash can visible from the cabin/driveway). Trash services only drive East on the road so the trash can must stay on the opposite side of the road. Trash services are on Wednesday mornings. ** WiFi: high speed cable internet is not offered in the Alta Sierra community or surrounding area. The best and fastest internet option is Verizon HotSpot, which is available for your use during your stay . For best streaming, we recommend Netflix (Netflix is available on all TVs for our guests). You and your guests will have cellular reception and internet connection at this cabin. However, if you plan to explore the Alta Sierra neighborhood and surrounding areas, there are many “dead zones” that have limited or no internet connection or cellular reception. Prep with directions prior to exploring. **Laundromats 12 mi. or 14 mi. from cabin. River Wash —13426 Sierra Way, KernvilleL&L—5312 Lake Isabella Blvd, Lake Isabella**Hot water heater breaker is electric and flips down once in a while (not often). Breaker box is located outside on the north side of the cabin (back of cabin, near the fireplace). The hot water heater breaker is labeled, flip it off, and back on if it happens to flip off.**Access information will be provided prior to your stay.About pets:Pets allowed: dogs less than 50 lbs per pet (limit 2 pets total).About checkOut:Check out before 10:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.Loft ladder always accessible, supervision required.About checkIn:Check in after 3:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 21.About events:Events allowed: family gatherings.Maximum event attendees: 1,For visitors, contact act property owner..

The kitchen has all new appliances and is stocked with all the usual kitchen supplies and there is complimentary coffee.Guest accessThe entire home and yard are accessible The only areas off limits are the master closet and the bottom level area under the house.Other things to noteNOTE: This house is Home to a small dog (only when I am there, the dog will not be there for your stay) Please remember you are visiting her home not the other way around. I do my best to clean up dog hair but with dogs its usually an uphill battle so if it is concern for you (eg: allergies, black clothing connoisseur), please do not book this house.THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE. Keep noise to a minimum when outside and in the evenings. If you’re are too loud for the neighbors, you Will be asked to leave.WINTER VISITORS!!!The mountain can get snow from Nov-May depending on the year.During this time the roads may be covered in snow or ice and be closed or only accessible to vehicles equipped with with 4x4 and snow tires or with chains/cables.Chains can be purchased on the way up in Frazier Park, however I cant guarantee that they will have the correct size/type for every vehicle. So if it is a possibility that snow / ice will be on the road during your visit you may want to plan accordingly and buy before hand. When it snows here, our great road team plows and places cinder on the road clearing it for travel however it does make a berm(mound of snow at side of rd.) which can block/ make it hard to enter driveway safely.I will try to shovel the path to make this easier when possible. However it is not always possible so always take care to drive carefully as to not damage your vehicle. You and Your Guests safety is of paramount concern so please take all precautions when coming up here during the cold months. Even when roads are clear drive with Caution!!!Due to the ever changing winter weather/road conditionsREFUNDS WILL NOT BE GIVEN IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO MAKE IT UP TO THE CABIN AND HAVE TO CANCEL THE DAY OF YOUR VISIT.In order to avoid this please make sure to check weather/ road conditions before you head up.I am not always up in the area, especially in winter so the best source is:pinemountainclub.netROAD CONDITIONS / CLOSURES:Lebec Highway patrol: 661-248-6655 or 661-858-2540PMC Patrol: 661-242-3857PMC Office: 661-2423788About pets:Pets allowed: dogs (limit 2 total).About checkOut:Check out before 10:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About checkIn:Check in after 2:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 21.About events:No events allowed.
