"Tiny room and warm, only water and hot drinks in room no snacks etc Toilet is tiny hard to get in shower is nice but hand wand is a trickle Thallasos is a 5 min walk over a road spa in hotel was packed and too busy to use . Sunny day no outdoor pool was a great shame Food was small avoid the Andullette sausage it had a strong smell and I could not eat it only for the very brave View is the best thing about this hotel as you get to see the sunset !"

"When we made the reservation, the receptionist spoke about "economic" room but i never thought that and economic room ment the horrible conditions we found. the room was full of humidity, there was no electric plugne near to the bed, just one in the other side of the room, we have to move the bed to plug the machine that my husband uses to bread, in the morning it was a nightmare to take a shower, the water had no pressure and it was impossible to controle the temperature of the water. In the end when we complain about the conditions of the room, the receptionist just told us that she said that it was and economic room.... well i dont know the rest of the hotel but if you ever thing about booking and "economic room" at this hotel, please think twice."

"Spent 3 nights here as part of a tour of SW France. A lovely little hotel with extremely helpful staff. Our room (superior double) was exceptionally clean but not very big and very little storage space. Breakfast was good. Nice small pool for sunny days. A short walk to the centre of the resort where there are many restaurants. Secure car parking for extra charge which we used as had golf clubs with us but to be honest there is plenty of space on the street and it’s safe enough."

"Overall good. Pleasant arrival, helpful and friendly staff. Sadly we had a noisy room and the male member of reception staff was a little rude about and argumentative, which is a shame. Small gym and very little equipment, mostly cardio. Tea and coffee provided in the room but no milk not even small UHT sachets. I asked for a small amount to make a drink and was informed I’d need to pay €4 for it. I’ve never experienced this in a hotel before and was a little shocked - does seem a little stingy given the price of the rooms here. No cup of tea for this English person today! Oh well. Nice pool area. Overall though, good. Stayed at better, stayed at worse."

This is the nostalgia of a past that was so delightful ... It is sufficient to close the door and we are transported as in a breath .... the breath of time ... We enter here as on the top of the feet ... We spent a night in this hotel where everything is beautiful and luxurious without being tape to The room was very comfortable and very comfortable. "The hotel is right opposite the station but they aren’t any trains during the night and even the few daily trains can’t be heard. Easy access to the beach, casino and loads of restaurants as we can walk across the lovely park nearby. Very quite area although close to everything! The decor is absolutely beautiful thanks to the owner’s interior decoration skills! The terrace is front of the hotel is ideal to take a coffee or a drink at anytime of day… their croissants are delicious and their « planche degustation » is the perfect snack if you don’t fancy a big lunch. The only downside is that the walls are a bit thin . The owners are super friendly and we loved our stay!"

"This was our first stay and we really enjoyed it. We were a family of 3 and had a double and pullout / sofa bed. The air conditioning was very effective and the room very quiet. The swimming pool facilities are fantastic and a real highlight of a stay. We'd have appreciated longer hours for our kid to be able to use the indoor pool (perhaps lunchtime when the pool is a lot emptier). I'd suggest relaxing the hours in off-season also. Breakfast was satisfactory. We also enjoyed using the ping pong table. It's located about a 30 mins walk from centre of Chatelaillon / train station and we walked it. There is a bus stop outside the hotel that takes you all the way to La Rochelle. All in all, we intend to return next year."

"My cousin and I found this amazing hotel by accident, and what a gem it turned out to be. The reception staff were so friendly and helpful and the hotels interior is fresh, comfortable and inviting with lots of individual decor touches. It was also spotless. The view of the beach from my bedroom window was wonderful. The weather was perfect, warm and sunny, which always helps. There was plenty to choose from for breakfast, everything lovely and fresh. I can’t praise this little gem enough and it was such a shame that we weren’t able to stay longer ."

"We stayed here for 6 nights in the junior suite, and had a great holiday in Châtelaillon-Plage. The hotel owners & staff were all really friendly & made us feel very welcome in their hotel. Our room was very spacious, practical & well decorated, with a great shower. Breakfast was always excellent with local produce & the best pain au chocolates we’ve ever had! We hired bikes from the hotel which were quite new and the owner even gave us a tour of the town in his beautiful Citroen Mehari. Would highly recommend both the hotel and Châtelaillon-Plage for a great French holiday experience."
