"I know many hotels of the Pestana Group but this one is not the standard of Pestana. it needs urgently renovation. Also the check-in was complicated. The rooms are really old and at the limit to accept. Restaurant the buffet was ok but could be better and the service very slow in the hotel. It really needs urgently attention and can not recommend it at this stage."

"What a spectacular place!!! Visited with my friend for a few days. It was her first time in South Africa. Experience left such a beautiful impression of our beautiful country and its people❤️❤️❤️ The place and staff were AMAZING!!! So friendly, helpful, cheerful - always a pleasure to be around. The food and drinks provided were delicious and spectacular. Our room was always clean, made up and fully stocked with drinks and snacks. The game drives were informative and spectacular - phenomenal drivers. Transportation from and to the airport was timely and fantastic! Definitely recommend staying here!!! Special thanks to Victor, Benedict, Reyneke*, Sam, Jane, Hamilton, Imagine, Marita, S’fiso, and the list goes on😁😁😁 My friends and I are already planning our next visit back!!!"

"Everything was exceptional. We had car issues and ended up booking there. The security was so kind and assisted us when needed, hotel staff were kind and assistive, so were the restaurant staff. The hotel was clean and the aura gave “homely “ It’s also so convenient because it’s right next to the mall and shuttle services. Will definitely be visiting again ❤️"

"Beautiful room with a phenomenal view! Great location, about 20 mins from Kruger park. The space was large, spotless, and the bed was extremely comfortable — perfect for a relaxing stay. I appreciated the thoughtful touches like the complimentary sherry, water, and milk in the room. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond: they had dinner ready for me even though I returned after restaurant hours, and they kindly held my luggage the next morning when I had to leave at 5 a.m. The pool looked incredible, though unfortunately I didn’t have time to use it. Overall, an outstanding experience with wonderful hospitality and very well maintained grounds. I’d definitely stay here again!"

"Rooms are definitely smaller and shabbier than what is shown on the website. Everything would need a good refurbishment (bedside lamps assembled with different pieces that don’t fit together, etc). Food at the buffet dinner very disappointing: grilled chicken wasn’t grilled, but kind of boiled and soaked in a BBQ-like sauce, vegetable rice inedible, sautéed vegetables tasted rancid. The only good point of the place is the terrace overlooking the river, and the staff that is indeed very nice and courteous."

"We were very happy to have found Dooringport. The home was very clean. Well laid out and lots of amenities that I have an expected. We had great communications with the property manager, Marina. She went out of her way to help us when we were without a car. It was amazing seeing the animals walk up in the backyard around the swimming pool and Marina brought bananas and yogurt tempt that push babies down to the table so we can experience their delightful behavior."
