"Cute hotel but I don't recommend staying in the main house. Floors are so thin that a normal conversation by guests in the upper room can be heard through to floors like they are in the same room. If you are unlucky enough to have to share the old main house with other guests that don’t abide by quiet hours, a good nights rest is in jeopardy."

"Our Flophouze stay was such a wonderful experience. From the moment we pulled in we were greeted with a warm welcome by the property owner Nigel who made sure we were cared for. The views of the pastures were beautiful, the Flophouze Container home was clean, the firepit was all setup, and the pool was warm. We wanted for nothing on our stay (thanks to Nigel). The icing on the cake that added to the ambiance was a friendly feline named "Bob" who kept us company each night at the campfire (such a cool cat). All in all a great place to stay and we look forward to making a return visit. Thank you Nigel, thank you Bob, and thank you Flophouze!"

"We have been staying at Farmstead in Round Top for over 5 years now! The location is perfect to experience all the different treasures that this part of Central Texas has to offer. Not to mention it is just beautiful! We've stayed in most of the rooms and several of the larger houses too. It is a fantastic deal given how much access you have to added beauty and features- the pool and pool house are beautiful and since we visit mostly during the summer this feature is a must! It is so calm and quiet even during the busy seasons! We love working with Judy and the rest of the Farmstead team. They are always responsive and have made such thoughtful additions to the property and rooms every year. The value of the stay is well worth it and we have yet to find another spot in Round Top that offers as much as Farmstead!"
