"I was expecting something special being familiar with the Restaurant Rocksalt. The room was functional clean but very small with the very comfortable bead taking up most of the room. There was neither room to work or relax apart from on the bed itself Good coffee machine but no proper fridge / mini bar just what I can only describe as a vey small electric cool box But it was functional as a place to sleep and had a small wet room / toilet facility Disappointed by two things really Nobody on site Monday and Tuesdays and so key was in a key box air-b-n-b style. When I got into the room there was a strong smell of fish (it’s by the harbour so probably from the fishing fleet facilities it adjoins) but nobody to speak to - couldn’t even get air freshener from them! No option to dine with them either which considering it’s a restaurant with some rooms was a surprise at best. The member of staff I did meet at check out was very nice and genuinely wanted me to have breakfast, but that brings me to my next point. The second was that Breakfast on Wednesday ( I’m guessing there isn’t breakfast available on Monday and Tuesday - at least during winter) didn’t start until 09.30 and finished at 10.30, which is at best very late, definitely not work friendly and in this instance too late for me Overall not bad but for over £100, in Folkestone, wasn’t exactly value for money"

"We had a lovely stay and receptionists very polite and friendly. Room was spacous and clean. bed was comfortable and it was. It was spacious room. We had a happy relaxing time in folkstone, and I will definitely come back. It was hot in our room on arrival but I noticed they left a fan so I used that. There was only 2 plug sockets, which, so may to bring an extention lead"

"Room was over 30 degrees would stay there again. Was staying as it was my son birthday and going to Disney the next day. None of us got any sleep and ended up not enjoying our experience. Would strongly avoid. Wasn't just our room others were complaining as well and outside was 17 degrees so no reason for them to be that hot."

"The elevator is very small and a little inconvenient to use. It is recommended to use the stairs except for moving luggage. The corridor is not wide, and a 28-inch suitcase can barely fit through. There are several good restaurants nearby. You can try them."

"There was nothing good about the stay. The promised good night's sleep was impossible in the overheated rooms. The noisy fans provided merely circulated the hot air. I have sat in cooler saunas. We couldn't eat on the meal deal because the pub was in chaos. Front of house in the pub that night (6:30 on 13th Sep) must have had an A level in indifference and a bachelors degree in rudeness. I have been staying in hotels on trips like this for over 50 years and can honestly say that this is the worst experience I've ever had. The Premier Inn directors are taking money under false pretences and should be ashamed of themselves Premier Inn asked what they could have done better. Simple: don't open a hotel without air conditioning on days when it is obvious that guests will not be able to sleep. Sort the catering situation: we and others had driven almost 300 miles to get there. The last thing we wanted to do is get in our cars again looking for somewhere to eat!"
