Richmond Hotel Fukushima Ekimae

Richmond Hotel Fukushima Ekimae

📍 1-15 Mikawa Minamimachi, Fukushima
★★★ 9.3 (190 reviews)

"This hotel branch is a great place overall, with clean rooms and lots of nice amenities. Plus, there’s a parking lot right next to it! However, the parking lot is in a separate building, so you’ll need to carry your luggage to and from the hotel, which can be a bit of a drag. But the location is super convenient, just a short walk to the Fukushima JR station, where you can find amazing local food and do some shopping."

"We had the best times in Adachiya. Best outdoor private onsen both enjoyed at night and day. Best food we had ever eaten. The bar access is excellent with fireplace and the staff service is truly commendable! Easy to get to from Fukushima train station. We will definitely recommend ro everyone and we hope to be back!"

Takayu Onsen Kagetsu Highland Hotel

Takayu Onsen Kagetsu Highland Hotel

📍 Jinnomori-1-20 Machiniwasaka, Fukushima
★★★ 9.1 (18 reviews)

"It was my first time at Takayu Onsen in the summer. The temperature had dropped to 15 degrees. The fog was incredible. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The portions were just right, not too much to eat. I think the quality is high. I enjoyed the large public bath, the open-air bath, and the private open-air bath. I was able to reserve the private open-air bath at just the right time. The breeze was pleasant and the quality of the hot spring was excellent. From the looks of it, it seemed like the place was almost fully booked, but the parking lot was full."

HOTEL ROUTE-INN Grand FUKUSHIMA EKIMAE HIGASHIGUCHI

HOTEL ROUTE-INN Grand FUKUSHIMA EKIMAE HIGASHIGUCHI

"This was my first stay. It's conveniently located in front of the station, and it's still new and clean. The large public bath is spacious, and the bathtub is deep, which is great. The breakfast area is spacious, and there was a good variety of dishes. There are no smoking rooms, but there are smoking areas on the first and seventh floors. There is plenty of parking around the hotel. I really like Route Inn hotels!"

Adachiya Ryokan ★★
"Adachiya Ryokan was the first place we went to right after landing in Tokyo. The ryokan is in a very countryside area so you either need to take the local bus from Fukushima station, or drive a car. We took the bus and it was pretty easy - you just have to make sure about the times first. We got a paper with the bus times from the information desk at Fukushima station which was helpful. The bus ride takes a while, but it was an easy walk to get to the ryokan once we got off (literally across the street). The employees didn't really speak English so we had to use Google Translate to communicate. But everyone was very friendly and kind. We got a welcome drink and were shown to our room. We bathed in all baths while we were there - the water truly is that milky blue. It was our first time at a ryokan so we didn't know what to expect but it was so relaxing. I loved the outdoor baths, especially at night when you could look up at the stars. Dinner was fantastic - we were both very hungry after a long day of travel, and dinner more than sufficiently filled us up. The meat was also very good. Breakfast was delicious as well. Service during both meals was good and we got an English-speaking server and menu as well. It was easy to get back to Fukushima station after our stay - the bus picks you up right at the front of the ryokan. Overall, 5/5 for the ryokan itself! It definitely lived up to the hype. "

Takayu Onsen Kagetsu Highland Hotel ★★★
"Due to the cold wave last week, I canceled my trip to Tsukioka Onsen in Niigata and instead stayed here in March of last year. I took a private open-air bath, and just at that time, the strong wind blew snow into the hot spring! I had a memorable experience bathing my face in natural ice mist. As expected, the temperature of the hot spring was low, but I was able to stay in it for a long time. I stayed in a renovated Western-style room in the main building, which was nice. The table was a little small, so I had a hard time spreading out my laptop. The good thing about this inn is that most of the front desk staff are around my age, so I think they are friendly and willing to talk to you. This inn is from the Showa era. The quality of the sulfur spring is excellent. If I could change the food, I would have stayed there for several nights. There was an avalanche at Tsuchiyu Onsen the day before I came, and it was scary on the way, but the slopes were carefully cleared of snow, and in some sections the snow melted on its own, so if you have a 4WD with studless tires, you can drive normally. I will use your services again during the snowy season. Thank you, Kagetsu."

HOTEL ROUTE-INN Grand FUKUSHIMA EKIMAE HIGASHIGUCHI ★★★
"Located about a 2-minute walk from Fukushima Station, it's very convenient with department stores and restaurants nearby. Having just opened last year, the modern-style rooms are very clean, and the beds are great! After a long day, a visit to the natural hot spring bath with its sauna and cold water pool is incredibly therapeutic. The only downside is that the buffet breakfast selection was less than expected, though the taste was acceptable."

HOTEL ROUTE-INN FUKUSHIMANISHI INTER ★★★
"The room was very clean and I had a comfortable stay. I would have liked amenities such as makeup remover and lotion. The breakfast menu had a wide variety of options, and the imoni (simmered sweet potato) was especially delicious. I wanted to stay near Fukushima Station, but all the other options were full, so I stayed here. However, since I was traveling by car, it wasn't a problem."
