"This is gem of a hotel which is only 10 mins by tuk tuk from Mahabodhi temple, is great value for money, comfortable and super friendly. The manager, Santosh, speaks fluent English & French and also speaks Japanese. Santosh is what makes this place so special - his background in tourism makes him the ideal host. He organised a car to take us to Kushinagar then Lumbini and helped rearrange things when the Nepal border was due to close because of the elections, so our plans changed. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel room was good, the bed was ok. I stayed on the ground floor. Outside the window there was no view (except a wall from the next door building). I recommend staying on a higher floor, for a better view and so as to be further away from the sounds of the staff (kitchen and maintenance) which could be heard on the floor below me. The feature of the hotel I liked the least was the bathroom, which looked a bit run down (for example, it lacked a shower curtain, which was provided after I requested). On the good side, the staff was pretty friendly and the restaurant was very good with competitive prices. (My breakfast was included and it was very good as well.) The location of the hotel is also good: pretty much all the attractions within walking distance. (At the hotel there were some mosquitoes, but I saw them everywhere in the city and temples.) Overall, a decent hotel for the price."

"First of all, please remove this hotel from any slabs of 4 or 5 star property. It was right in the middle of a big slum area, with a tea shop at the entry gate. The approach road was an abandoned, broken patylh for good 2-3 minutes, and even our local driver was losing patience frequenting on that road. Secondly, the room closet had no light, so literally useless, most of the lights and lamps were not working. No dental kit, used moisturizer tube 🤣 and the front desk staff was an absolutely un-polished guy. I mean, it's ok to not have these facilities, but not at the cost of 5 star hotel. Sorry, but please please don't mislead travelers like this."
