"I booked the room based on negative reviews saying there weren't enough dryers. I was even wondering why someone gave a bad review because of the dryers. There were only two dryers, and each took three hours to dry. There was no paper or pen to leave a message while they were drying. I forgot about it after three hours and went back the next day, only to find someone had already put it away while it was still wet. I suggest adding a quick-dryer and providing paper and pen for leaving messages, and having a cleaning lady help keep an eye on things. The hotel environment and the room were both quite nice."

"Let's start with the positives: The location is incredibly convenient, just across the road from a VIP center. The hotel has a nice design aesthetic; the entrance features photos documenting its development. They offer free Miao ethnic costumes for guests to borrow and take photos (about ten women's costumes are available in the lobby). The batik painting activity, however, is not recommended. Breakfast is decent, meeting four-star hotel standards. There's a welcome fruit plate and complimentary drinks. Now for the issues: 1. They don't offer guest pick-up/drop-off, and the location pin leads to the park entrance. 2. For two adults, they provided one large and one small pillow. When I inquired, the hotel said this was standard and I had to request an additional pillow (photo attached). 3. The room is small, comparable to the smallest room type at Hanting, with everything in plain view (photo attached). 4. The bathroom handle easily came off (photo attached). 5. The air conditioning panel was unresponsive and the room was freezing; the TV remote didn't work, so I couldn't turn off the screen. 6. After boiling water, the kettle lid accidentally fell into the kettle (photo attached). 7. Although there's a pool, it's an unsupervised large trough with only two sun loungers that smelled heavily of smoke. Children were entering the water in slippers, and some without swimwear. Needless to say, the water quality was questionable (photo taken without entering the water)."

"My first trip to Guiyang was full of surprises, yet also tinged with regret. The breathtaking natural scenery was a feast for the eyes, and the rich history and culture spurred me to explore. However, the overall experience of food, accommodation, and transportation during a trip is paramount. Choosing the Banyan Tree Anshun was a terrible mistake! I subjectively thought Banyan Tree was part of the Hyatt group, like Park Hyatt😂, but the moment I stepped into the hotel lobby, I realized how mistaken I was😂. The lobby was vast and empty, the greeter's smile was stiff, and the front desk staff were unprofessionally wooden in their speech. The overly aggressive wood-paneled decor and Chinese-style furniture made everything feel cheap and haphazard. Seeing my family's disappointed faces, I could only manage an awkward laugh, after all, a 3-night stay at 15,000 RMB is non-refundable😂. The hotel grounds were extensive, but the details were a mess. Untended branches and fallen leaves made it look desolate. The room was large, but the sleep quality was non-existent. The cheap mattress made you feel every single spring😂, and every time I turned over, my wife would wake up😂. I woke up with an aching back every morning. Even more comically, the cleaning lady would come at 8:50 AM, shouting to wake you up and clean the room! Her loud voice through the door made it sound like she was serenading us with folk songs early in the morning😂. During breakfast, I could only see about 15 people dining, yet guests constantly had to call out, 'Waiter, the coffee machine is out of water and milk! And the juice is gone too!' The openly displayed cutlery on the tables and food scraps under them made me question the hygiene of the dining experience. What truly surprised me was the hotel's waterfall afternoon tea, which wasn't located within the hotel but required a car ride to a so-called 'teahouse' in the scenic area. The teahouse's balcony directly overlooked the waterfall, and we were served a pot of strong tea, a pot of white tea, plus 12 casually made small pastries😂😂😂. My daughter said they were the worst macarons she had ever tasted! No coffee was available, as it was strictly a Chinese-style experience! You could only drink tea here! I forgot to mention, the hotel lobby also only offers tea, nothing else! Perhaps Guizhou only produces tea and nothing else, like coffee! We simply couldn't appreciate the tea culture. I took one sip of tea, and my daughter took 2-3 bites of the pastries. Then came the bill, which perhaps my poverty limits my imagination! 1550 RMB! After signing, I immediately checked the average salary in Guizhou on Xiaohongshu (a social media platform)😂. At the end of our trip, on the way to the airport, the driver told us that Guizhou's tourism industry started relatively late and needs time to adapt. I agree with him; any endeavor needs time to be refined. Here's wishing Guizhou's tourism industry all the best!"

This kindness was especially touching for us as travelers far from home. The guesthouse itself was spotlessly clean and tidy in every corner, making our stay comfortable and relaxing. The food was authentic and delicious, prepared with fresh ingredients, and we were very satisfied with all our meals. Both the facilities and the hospitality were top-notch. This is definitely our first choice for accommodation when traveling, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Huangguoshu! Highly recommended! ✨"

"The room at over 400 (yuan) was not great value for money. There was a strong smell of new renovation, which I really disliked! Also, the breakfast area felt sticky underfoot, like it hadn't been mopped! There were even sunflower seed shells, truly disgusting. Breakfast was also very mediocre. In short, it would be acceptable if it were under 300, but for over 400, it should be of a higher standard! The only good thing was the farmers market nearby, where I bought delicious peaches."

"We checked in on a rainy, late night right before Chinese New Year, and the staff had already turned on the lights and air conditioning for us, which was incredibly thoughtful. The room was also very cozy, and everyone got a fantastic night's sleep. The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from Huangguoshu Waterfall, and if you're not planning a deep dive into the park, you don't even need to buy an extra ticket to enter the scenic area. "The room was spacious, clean, and fully smart. The main highlight was how incredibly nice the owner was. Traveling with my child, the pick-up and drop-off service to attractions was incredibly convenient. It’s actually very close to the main ticketing center. The nights were quiet, and the bedding was super comfortable. This was the best sleep my child had gotten in days. The breakfast was also excellent: porridge, steamed buns, corn bread, eggs, sweet potatoes, corn, and fruit. After indulging in so much delicious Guizhou food for several days, my stomach was crying for help, so this was perfect for me. If you don't want to eat out, the owner can even cook meals at home according to your taste. They answered every question and met every request, always putting the customer first. When we left, to save us time, they even helped us transport our luggage from the hotel to the attraction's bus station. We're truly grateful! So many touching moments. I sincerely wish the owner a prosperous business."
