"I wanted to cancel my trip because of the typhoon, but the shop refused to give me a refund. Ctrip staff were very helpful and assisted me several times, but I still couldn't get a refund. So I had to bite the bullet and go to the island anyway. I was surprised by how beautiful the environment was! It's a pristine, undeveloped island on Mango Island, with a blue sea and white sand beaches—absolutely gorgeous. The island owners were also very kind; everything was fine except for the geckos. I think they're common in Southeast Asian countries."

"Costa Aguada is a clean resort with lots of coconut and bamboo trees around. It has a big pool and a kiddie pool however, there were lots of bees roaming around the pool area. There is a big entertainment center where you could play badminton, table tennis, darts and there is a pool table too. Good place for group gatherings. Kudos to Kenneth and Freddie who helped maintain the resort for a job well done. I told them I would rate the resort as 5 stars but I decided to put an overall 4 stars to give room for improvement. This resort has crystal clear waters, nature is preserved and there are wild monkeys and chicken that freely roam in the covered areas though I have not seen one. I was told there were. They serve good food. The rooms could have more comfortable beds and the locks of the bathroom could use some repair and upgrade and the rooms would be nicer if they had smoother floors. Hospitality to guests were outstanding. I would rate the staff 5 stars in their services. Job well done."

"Nice hotel that looks authentic because of the wooden construction. The family that runs it is friendly and attentive. The room and bathroom are clean and are maintained daily. The air conditioning works great!"

"The room smelled of mold as soon as the sour faced worker opened the door. There was mold on the bathroom door. Does not look they have cleaned the room for... weeks? months? There was no wifi in the rooms, and there were a pile of "peso wifi" machines scattered around that do not work. The AC worked ok, and after leaving it running and going out the foul smell went away a little. The beach is roped in, so there is a very small area you can swim in - and they even tell you not to swim anywhere else, so it does not really feel like being in the open sea. Also the water was green and dirty. All over this place is a dissapointing and dirty mess. The workers are not welcoming. Maybe they are ashamed to show guests to dirty mouldy rooms. I would avoid this place at all costs. Looks good in theory... but not nice."

"This resort is overrated. The entrance road to the resort is very narrow. Day pass holders do not get access to the pool, as priority is given to overnight guests. I do not recommend it for a day pass. The buffet lunch is not a true buffet, with only three main dish options. I was not satisfied with the food. The plates and utensils smelled fishy. However, the pool view is excellent. You are essentially paying for the view."

"The accomodation is to bad to many dogs and the room is dirty no free amenities like soap and dringking water no hot water in shower and no kettel for coffe The accommodation was quite unsatisfactory, with numerous dogs present and an unclean room. There were no complimentary amenities such as soap or drinking water, and the shower lacked hot water. Additionally, a kettle for coffee was not provided."
