"This hotel is very old. I arrived at 11 PM, and they told me the single room I booked was unavailable. I showed them my booking confirmation, and the front desk said it was a system issue. They spent a long time on the phone but couldn't resolve it, so I didn't get to check in until almost midnight. I won't be staying here again."

TownePlace Suites by Marriott Gainesville ★★★

📍 1745 Browns Bridge Rd, Gainesville

"I was very disappointed with my recent stay. While the location and amenities seemed fine at first, I was shocked to find a cockroach in the bathroom. Cleanliness is one of the most important factors when choosing a hotel, and this incident made me question the overall hygiene and maintenance of the property. The staff were polite, but this is an issue that should never occur in a hotel. Unfortunately, this experience overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable stay. Until improvements are made to cleanliness and pest control, I cannot recommend this hotel."

TownePlace Suites by Marriott Gainesville ★★★
"Marriott properties are reliable because Marriott sets high standards. This location falls short. We have stayed at three other TownPlace Suites this year in Georgia, Tennessee, and Ohio— all of which were excellent. This one isn’t. The manager seems more concerned with paperwork than with providing good service. The hotel was mostly vacant yet we were given a room next to the service closet and could hear the door opening and closing throughout the night. The floor was dirty; a dirty dish towel in the kitchen; hair in shower; toilet seat broken; shower gel container was nearly empty. At other locations, fresh cookies greet guests. Here, there was a stack of bruised bananas. One bright spot was the breakfast and friendly host. This location simply isn’t up to par."

"New hotel gave it a try but never again. Check in clerk made me wait for 45 minutes, gave a key of another guest already sleeping in the room that was very awkward experience and the next day when spoke to the hotel gm they just gave attitude. Stay away"

"The front desk is very nice and helpful! We have stayed here before and enjoyed it just the same. One thing that was different was the last room had vinyl flooring, and this one had carpet. The carpet had a musty smell, so we went to Dollar Tree and picked up some air freshener."

"The toilets were not functioning properly in either our room ( water fill ran all night) or my Mothers room, bowl filled to overflow on every flush. The carpets are horrific, dirty, worn, the sidewalk outside looked cleaner to walk barefoot on. "

Courtyard Gainesville GA ★★★
"Wonderful location.  We could walk to all our favourite breakfast spots and also stroll around the historic square .  We are Brits so we take every opportunity to walk and this Hotel is in a safe area for walking around.  The parking under the Hotel is so convenient that we did not mind paying $15.00 per night as it was worth it.  Marriott Courtyard is a real benefit to the City of Gainsville which is undergoing a complete renaissance.  Really enjoyed our 4 night stay and will return. "
