Hotel near Liuhe Night Market/Formosa Boulevard Station,Kaohsiung
Conveniently located in the Xinxing District of Kaohsiung City, Chitow Hostel is near Liuhe Tourist Night Market, Kaohsiung History Museum, True Love Pier, Kaohsiung International Airport. Hotel features a seating area in all rooms and some rooms have a kitchenette with toaster and fridge. Guests at the property can enjoy a continental breakfast. There is a shared lounge and Asian restaurant..

"this place seen better days, feels kinda run down. Overall it was okay clean but holes in the bed sheets and a toilet that is obviously crushed since months feels not like a place where people care about. And if you arrive before 3Pm you will have a super weird basically non existent luggage storage situation. This is not the standard you might be used to in Taiwan. Would I stay here again? No"

"AHIRUYAH Guest House" is a youth hostel run by a Japanese family who loves Kaohsiung. The character of our hotel is that many Japanese guests come to stay. Our philosophy is to make every visitor feel like a home when they come to live in a duck house. Let the passengers relax after a day out playing back to the duck house. In the duck family, headed by Japanese guests, many foreign tourists come here. Everyone is because they like Taiwan and want to have more exchanges with Taiwanese. The Youth Hostel is located near the Kaohsiung Beautiful Island MRT Station and is only a 3-minute walk away. Adjacent to the famous Liuhe Tourist Night Market, the surrounding life is excellent and the transportation is convenient.

"I stayed at a fantastic hostel in Kaohsiung! The location was very convenient, close to the night market and subway station!! I would definitely stay there again next time I go; everything was great. The sheets and everything were very clean, and the washing machine was free to use."

The Backpackers Inn, Kaohsiung provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Backpackers Inn, Kaohsiung offers a pleasant stay in Kaohsiung for those traveling for business or leisure. Traveling to the hotel is easy with TR Kaohsiung Station located approximately 2km away and Kaohsiung International Airport roughly 8km away. In addition, Central Park Metro Station is just a short walk away. The nearby area boasts an abundance of attractions including Kaohsiung 228 Peace Memorial Park, Lingya/Ziqiang Night Market and Hi-ing Music Hall. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings.

"According to the counter staff, the ”shell nest” is the old name, has been renamed UNO hostel for many years, but fortunately, it has been a smooth stay. Based on the situation that is likely to be refused by unscrupulous businessmen, it is not recommended to stay with the name that does not match the reality! Pros: Very close to the MRT station (within 5 minutes), double room looks clean, public space is spacious, price is not high Disadvantages: the room has an old feeling (personally feel that the floor will be improved by changing the color or material), the bath towel is damaged, the sofa looks dark and dare not use it, the slippers in the room have oil stains (presumably cleaning and disinfection are not implemented), the air conditioner's operation sound has a sense of existence, poor sound insulation, The counter staff is a bit world-weary"

The Knock Knock Hostel is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Knock Knock Hostel is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Kaohsiung. With TR Kaohsiung Station just 1km away and Kaohsiung International Airport only 11km away, transportation is very convenient. Transportation around the city is also convenient, with Houyi Metro Station within walking distance. This hotel is located near many of Kaohsiung's attractions including Love River, Jilin Street Night Market and Ruiyuan Bridge. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. According to our guests, the location of this hotel is one of the best around.

"I took an early flight the next morning and arrived in Kaohsiung the night before to find a convenient backpacker's room. The room had a single bed with a private space and a curtain, and the bathroom and toilet were separate. There was an elevator so I could go upstairs without having to carry my luggage up the stairs. There were PX Mart and Watsons right outside the main street, so I could quickly buy anything I had forgotten. The hotel was located less than a three-minute walk from Exit 1 of the Kaohsiung MRT Houyi Station, which was really convenient for a backpacker's room for a stopover."

"I chose this place for a solo trip, and the location is quite convenient. The facilities of the Youth Hostel are basically complete, the beds are clean and soundproofed. The service staff is good and the atmosphere in the public area is also very good. Although the space is not very large, at this price, whether it is cleanliness or convenience, it is a very affordable choice when traveling alone."

Great location less than 20 minutes from KHH airport. It is within 8 minutes walking distance from SOGO for those who love to shop department stores. There are 7-11s ( more than one!) Family Marts and a PX Mart (grocery store) along each road. Very convenient. The drinks at 7-11 will be cheaper priced than Family Mart and PX Mart and sometimes they will have a BOGO on select items ( I got an extra baby wipe pack by sheer luck). The Family Mart will have more unique items (ex Kombucha, health teas etc). The food selection for both places will be a bit limited for grab and go eats. Think sweet pastries and snacks. They do have some sandwiches but not super healthy if you are vegetarian. The hotel has complementary breakfast that starts at 6:30am ends at 10am. It is a buffet the fills up the entire room. There is a wonderful mix of local foods, one Western style pot. There is a small salad bar, fruit bar, coffee/tea and a small short order cook that will fry up 4 items (eggs, scallion onion omelette, turnip cakes). There is an other side has at least 10 varieties of local foods. The quality is great! Not too oily, 2 congee pots ( regular and Hong Kong Style). Fruits include what is season (Guava, apples, watermelon) and oranges, bananas. I will warn you about the late night snack (Dim Sum) buffet. Located on same floor and it starts at 7pm. That is a busy mad house. The line to queue up starts earlier and it will go down the hall to the stairwell. Lots of tour buses come to this location and tour groups will flood in each week during season. I went during early April for 9 days. I would go to breakfast at 8 am and skipped the nighttime crush. Restaurants are readily available all around and very affordable. This hotel comes with complimentary laundry DIY and laundry powder soap. Make sure you write your room number on the dry erase placard and stick it on each machine you use. Otherwise another guest may accidentally throw their items in and use the machine. The dryers are on top so hard to see what’s on the bottom. There is a free lounge in the lobby that has complimentary ice cream, coffee/tea and jasmine flavored gelatin cups. You can sit there all day if you like and sip on a free espresso or other drink. This hotel comes with a lot of amenities at a reasonable rate— I will stay here again next time.

We were extremely impressed with our stay at this hotel! We absolutely loved the unlimited snacks available throughout the day, including coffee, tea, junk foods, and especially the ice cream. One of the highlights of our stay was the complimentary 24-hour laundry service, which was very convenient and added great value to our experience. The breakfast buffet exceeded our expectations with its wide variety of delicious dishes. Our room was clean, comfortable, and relaxing, providing the perfect place to unwind after a long day. The hotel's location was also excellent and convenient for exploring the area. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and outstanding amenities. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The hotel location is convenient, very close to Exit 2 of the subway. The room is clean, and breakfast is decent. It's close to the Kaohsiung Arena, a large shopping mall, and Ruifeng Night Market, making it a top choice for concerts.

The room was spacious and clean, and opening the curtains revealed an unbeatable sea view – perfect for enjoying the scenery. The owner was incredibly helpful, providing us with all sorts of information about Kaohsiung and anything else we wanted to know. So kind! A truly perfect experience.

I booked this hotel because of next day flight. However, this hotel still needs to be access by taxi. Hotel is quiet, room is clean. 2 Water bottles are avb. Theres no facilities avb in this hotel except breakfast and almost all day coffee/tea and chips/biscuits (forgot the exact time). Nevertheless, the breakfast is really below so so, all food is not warm at all and limited choices. We finally went to Starbucks across the street.

• **Affordable Price:** A quadruple room during a holiday weekend was around NT$2400, averaging only NT$800 per person. • **Shared Spaces:** There's a common area on the top floor, perfect for a simple meal or relaxation. • **Excellent Location:** Within walking distance to Liuhe Night Market and Love River, ideal for tourists. --- **Recommendations & Notes** • **Best for:** Travelers on a short trip who prioritize convenient transportation and value for money. • **Not suitable for:** Business travelers who require modern facilities or a stable internet connection. • **Dining heads-up:** The hotel doesn't have a restaurant; guests will need to eat out or use the common area for meals. • **Parking:** The hotel doesn't have its own parking lot, so it's advisable to plan parking in advance. --- **Overall Verdict** Kaohsiung Island Tour Hostel is an affordable and conveniently located budget accommodation, suitable for tourists on short stays. Its strengths lie in its location and value for money, while its drawbacks are outdated facilities and an unstable internet connection. If you value transportation and price, it's a good choice; if comfort and reliable amenities are a priority, you might want to consider other hotels.

The combined toilet and shower was a bit inconvenient, but for this area, I think it's a reasonably priced place to stay. It was relatively clean, but the changing room for the public bath had quite a bit of hair accumulated. Compared to Japanese bath facilities, it might feel a bit lacking (no mirrors, no conditioner, high step to enter the bath), but I was grateful to have a public bath. Since there were no mirrors, I tried to look at my reflection in a magic mirror and almost tripped over a step. There are steps in odd places, and the bath entrance is also high; if you trip and hit it, it would hurt. You need to change into slippers when you exit the elevator. The stairs seem to be for staff only. It might be better not to put things on the stairs. Isn't that regulated by fire safety laws?

My stay at this hotel was decent overall, but nothing particularly memorable. The hotel clearly has some years of history, so it is neither very new nor too old. The facilities were acceptable and the room was generally comfortable enough for a short stay. As a transit or stopover hotel, it offers reasonable value for money and serves its purpose well. However, it is not the kind of place I would consider luxurious or especially enjoyable. The experience was functional rather than relaxing or impressive. Overall, it is a practical choice if you are looking for an affordable place to stay for a night or two, but not somewhere for a premium hotel experience.

The building itself seems a bit old, so it feels somewhere between a guesthouse and a hotel. It's perfectly adequate if you just need a place to sleep. (If you're out sightseeing, eating, and drinking until late, and just come back to shower and sleep, you probably won't have any complaints.) There are coin laundries on both sides, and even a minor convenience store, so it's not inconvenient at all. You can also walk to areas with many restaurants in just a few minutes, so you won't have trouble finding food. It's a very quiet area, so you can enjoy a peaceful night. From my room, I could see the Love River, which offered a nice view. Self check-in and check-out were hassle-free, and the staff's service was excellent. (They were very helpful with my inquiries during my stay.) I think it offers good value for money, so I'd recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind if the room or facilities are a bit old and not very stylish. (My room even had air conditioning, a TV, a refrigerator, and a fan, which I actually appreciated!)
