Kastro Hotel ★★

📍 Agios Kirykos Ikaria, Ikaria

"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Kastro a small family run business. The hotel is located on top of the hill with excellent views of the ocean. There is parking outside the hotel and is reachable on foot via the road or staircase leading directly into the town Center. A short walk will take you to Therma. We loved the location and views. Very well priced and super clean hotel with the best views in town."

KERAME HOTEL

KERAME HOTEL ★★

📍 Main Street Evdilos 83302 Ikaria, Evdilos

"We visited Ikaria for the first time. It was a dream trip. Kerame is one of the few accessible hotels on the island. But not all facilities are accessible... I did like the view, near the center, I did like the staff and the owner, they were polite, even though we had an argument. I didn't like that I chose that hotel for the pool (for the windy days), and the wheelchair couldn't reach this space. I also couldn't go with the wheelchair to the breakfast area."

Kastro Hotel ★★
"When I arrived at the port of Agios Kyrikos there were no taxis available because they were all at the airport. There I was, completely stranded in a strange place, and no idea how I was going to be able to get my luggage to an hotel, on a hill. Lady luck smiled on me and a delightful Swedish family, who were hiring a car, offered to drive me to my hotel. I will forever be grateful to George who took me and carried my luggage up the stairs into the hotel for me. Before this point, I was beginning to feel that I had made a mistake choosing this place. However the wonderful staff at the hotel, made me feel so welcome - we ended up having lots of long chats. Georgia, Toti and Olibia for manager needs to value you, because as the front of house staff you make this hotel work! Great recommendations for things to do, restaurants to visit. calling taxis and just making life easier for you visitors and me in particular have been very appreciated. Then there's Therma that you recommended. I loved it there too and it made such a difference to the pains that I suffered at Athens airport on arrival. I cannot thank you enough for making my time at Kastro so happy and enjoyable."

Anthemis Hotel ★★
"The Anthemis Hotel is an excellent choice for travelers visiting Ikaria, offering a family-friendly environment along with many useful amenities to enhance your stay. The rooms are well-appointed with amenities such as a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, and a refrigerator. Staying connected is easy with the complimentary Wi-Fi provided by the hotel. One of the highlights of our stay was the hotel bar, where we enjoyed refreshing drinks. The car rental service was also incredibly useful, making it easy for us to explore the island at our own pace. We highly recommend it for anyone visiting Ikaria."

KERAME HOTEL ★★
"We stayed in the Sea View apartments, which were clean and fresh with beautiful views. The host, Sofia, and her husband went out of their way to welcome us and make sure we had everything we needed. On the island generally, you need to have a car and be able to walk down steep slopes/stairs to get to a lot of the beaches - but they are worth it, and this is why the island is still so unspoilt. Great food and great people."

Atheras ★★★
"Have no idea what people find wrong with this hotel, perfect as only 5 min walk to the dock area with all the bars and restaurants and a couple of small supermarkets, please remember this is not the mainland so no large supermarkets, but prices still good. Back to the hotel the Staff were great and friendly, rooms perfect, remember your only sleeping here it’s not your home. Cleaned every day and spotless, balcony is small but lovely to sit out on. There was a good size fridge and the best supply I’ve ever had off hot water for washing anytime of the day lovely hot water. Only one little thing, they do not have a lift, they have a small internal luggage lift but not to be used by guests. There are a lot of stairs, from the front of the hotel up to reception is a large flight of steep steps. But it’s a hilly island so you won’t find a lot of flat land, if you’re not great on your feet or don’t like steps this might not be the right island for you. The island is amazing but only has one issue, getting around, there is no public transport at all, there are taxis but super expensive airport to this hotel €60 I understand why as it’s not a easy island to get round. I would suggest hiring a car the roads are very good, but don’t trust google maps. Plenty of hire car firms, mine met me off my flight the day I arrived. You could go local and hire a moped also, very popular. So to sum it up great island, great people and great hotel. Enjoy."

Kerame Studios & Apartments ★★★
"No no no. Nonexistant soundproofing, dirty bathroom. As you can see from the photos the place is right next to a local highway. All rooms face the road. I couldnt get even one good nights sleep - the whole room was vibrating from the passing cars and bombarded by sounds of other tenants. You can find way cheaper stay in Ikaria with much more value for money. Look for studios other than this one"

Pyrgos Traditional Village ★★★★
"We loved our room. There was peace and quiet in the beautiful area surrounding the hotel. The bed was very comfortable and there was air conditioning and a roof fan to protect us from the summer heat. The owners and the staff were very kind accommodating and helpful throughout our stay! There was also a small kitchen in our room and we could prepare our meals and snacks. There was a nespresso coffee machine for our first coffee. Also our room had two balconies that we enjoyed a lot as one offered shade in the morning and the other in the afternoon. Everything was very clean. We loved it and will be coming back!"
