"Perfect location. Parking was free right next to the hotel (otherwise €2 per day). Family room with an adjoining separate bedroom for the children. Free crib, which initially had a blanket instead of a mattress, but that was adjusted after we pointed it out due to safety concerns for sleeping. We found breakfast too pricey and opted to eat outside the hotel. A very pleasant stay!"

"As a family of 5, 3 adult sons, we had an amazing time at Menin Gate Houses. We actually stayed in both as decided to spend another night in Ypres so moved into house 2. Cannot fault the accommodation, the location, and especially Benoit, the host. Our stay coincided with a very difficult time for him, yet he was attentive and provided us with an experience at the Last Post ceremony we will never forget."

"These brand-new rooms are located on Boterstraat, a stone's throw from the Grote Markt. The Menin Gate is just over five minutes away, and you can park for free at Minneplein, which is a 450-meter walk away. We had the 'Family Father' room, which means you have to climb three steep flights of stairs and another flight of stairs to the upstairs bedroom. The rooms were clean and modern with coffee facilities. Power outlets are available next to the beds. The beds were comfortable, though the pillows were a bit on the thick side. And the space around the bed was a bit cramped. The friendly host sent a WhatsApp message on the day of arrival with the codes to get in, which worked perfectly. From the balcony, you have a view of the Cloth Hall and the cathedral. Unfortunately, breakfast is not available there, but there are plenty of options nearby. There was one hook in the bathroom; otherwise, there was nothing to put your clothes or belongings on."
