This hotel seems to be built right on the cliffside, offering unbeatable views from the rooms. The design is really thoughtful, with large glass walls, balconies, skylights, and smart wake-up features. You can tell the owner put a lot of effort into it. The weekday prices are quite reasonable, and both breakfast and afternoon tea are excellent. The coffee and flower tea are also very good – flavorful and not cheap. When we left, they even gave us a small tea bag as a parting gift, which was a nice touch. There were several dinner options available for an additional charge, which looked good, though we didn't try them. Overall, the place has a very high-quality feel; you can sense the owner's passion and dedication to making it great. It's perfect for a lazy stay, and the courtyard has many picturesque spots for photos. There's even a talking mynah bird! It's about a 30-minute drive to various tea plantation attractions, which isn't too far, making it ideal for a relaxed trip without rushing. The only downside is that buying individual coffees is a bit pricey; it feels like Starbucks prices for only about a third of the volume.

What an amazing place with amazing staff who made the experience that much better. The rooms were everything we could ask for, modern and very clean with great amenities. The private hot spring alone is absolutely worth visiting too. The surrounding area is beautiful too with lots to see and do but would definitely need to rent a car as some things are far away. The staff were incredible in every way. Before our stay I asked one of the staff members called Min if she could order flowers for a special occasion and she did so without hesitation and placed them in the room upon our arrival.She was so helpful and kind throughout the whole stay, telling us the best places to visit and restaurant to go out. She even went as far as helping us order dinner at the local restaurant when we were struggling too due to our lack of speaking Chinese. The breakfast was also delicious as well and the coffee shop where it is served has great coffee and lovely pastries. I couldn’t recommend this place more for a nice weekend away in nature.

Amazing overall! Style, taste, and service were all top-notch! Excellent value for money! 1. We brought our dog, and they provided a high-quality dog bed, toys, deodorant, wet wipes, and even poop bags – so thoughtful! 2. They decorated the room for our dog's birthday for free, which was incredibly heartwarming! 3. They gave us an extra breakfast, both generous and attentive! 4. They personally guided us to our room, explaining the hotel layout and functional areas along the way – truly dedicated service! 5. KTV room, billiards room, kids' play area, private hot spring, meditation room, in-room projector – all available for free on demand… Such great value… 6. The common areas looked exactly like the photos, perfect for pictures, and even had a free Nintendo Switch to play. 7. They have collaborations with local cultural and creative brands, and intangible heritage experiences, offering many discounts… Highly recommend, I'd definitely go back again!!!

We are extremely happy to have chosen Bixiang Inn for our stay at Qing Yuan. The inn is beautiful & tranquil located at Hetou Village, Jiulong Town, Qing Yuan. Be prepared of the travelling journey there, it is very far from Yingde, but the inn is just worth the journey. We were there few days before the peak season, Chinese New Year. So we had the hotel by ourselves - 8 of us. We bought the famous Qing Yuan chicken, Jiulong fuchuk, plucked veg from the hotel & also bought & plucked additional vegetable from the next door neighbour and we cooked our dinner at the hotel! How wonderful! The caretaker, Ah Lei (hope I get her name correct) is very helpful. She even helped in the cooking & cleaning up after meal. Not forgetting 3 lovely cats in the premises too. We did trekking &/or cycling (the hotel has 2 bicycles for guests use) in both morning. The air was so so fresh, felt recharged instantly. We highly recommended Bixiang Inn as your base at Qing Yuan.

This guesthouse boasts an amazing location and design! Nestled amidst a bamboo forest, the environment is peaceful, the air is fresh, and it's incredibly comfortable. Plus, it's super pet-friendly, allowing us to bring our little furry friends along! We booked a sunrise-view courtyard for 4 nights, but sadly, we overslept every morning and missed the beautiful sunrise! The courtyard is built along the riverside, offering stunning mountain views from the small balcony. You can also go fishing or watch other guests kayaking (a complimentary activity provided by the guesthouse), so there's plenty to do! The guesthouse is also very close to nearby attractions. We visited Dongtian Fairyland and Tuofengshan Inn, and even enjoyed an exhilarating and thrilling rafting experience! The guesthouse's herbal chicken pot was absolutely delicious, even better than those at local farmhouses! The housekeeper was very warm and the service was thoughtful. When we checked out, they even gave us fresh bamboo shoots (sweet and tender) and Yingde's famous Yinghong No. 9 tea as a parting gift. We left with our hands full!

Extremely satisfied! The service was exceptional from start to finish. Even before arriving, they answered all my questions thoughtfully. During my stay, they were incredibly responsive to every request, and I even received a parting gift when I checked out. The room facilities were fantastic, and because there weren't many guests, they proactively upgraded my room. The room was well-equipped, and the guesthouse's scenery was absolutely beautiful – it felt like I was living right inside a picturesque landscape. They also provided complimentary tickets to the tea plantation, which is very close by, though I'd say it's an optional visit. It's also not far from the Heshun Karst Cave, so you can easily stop by if you're in the area. Plus, there's passion fruit picking right outside, and the breakfast was delicious!

Take parents and children on vacation during the May Day holiday. Because the elderly are inconvenient to walk and can be easily taken care of, they chose Guanhe Suite 1. The house is very large, the living room is fully equipped, tea set, refrigerator, there are many books on the house shelf, and children. I read a book on the English and German humanistic landforms and read half of it. Unfortunately, time is limited. In addition, there is a kitchen in the suite. The bathroom is very good for dry and wet separation. The staff service is also very warm and thoughtful, and the elderly family is very satisfied with this stay. After returning, I also recommended it like a friend. I have already collected it. I will come back next time.

Glamping in China I loved the business project in whole, it’s brilliant, location, gorgeous view of sugarloaf mountains, air quality, forest and wildlife + real tea plantations and the general idea of connecting the ancient tradition of tea making and enjoying with the family outdoors and holiday activities. But. When it comes to the reality and routine you face the challenges and imperfections. First, I booked the tent with the request to accommodate my family far from other visitors and traffic. Unfortunately, we were given a tent that literally was situated at the main road with doors opened to the public route, while all other tents oriented towards the tea plantation. We were disappointed, because at another tent we were asked to add 100 yuan more, since it was equipped with a bathroom. More than that, it was booked too, so instead of nice stay 3 days/nights at one place, we had to move out next noon, wait for the check -in at around 13 pm and settle again at another tent. I deeply appreciate the efforts the manager made to please us. But I wish we could skip all that unnecessary waste of time, not mentioning packing luggage of 4 people for 2-3 times. Next complication is about Chinese culture being close to each other- tents are located side by side, 8 tents all reserved, lots of kids, all noisy, all moving at the same spot+ other visitors freely enter the area and it adds to the crowds. So we had a complete silence only after 11 pm and from the early morning it was already packed with new travelers. The heaters are great, yet also noisy, the bathroom is beautiful and modern, even with dyson alike hair dryer, but users don’t care about others, don’t close the shower cabin while washing, so the entire room becomes a marsh. We enjoyed our breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner at the hotel restaurant , the food and service was outstanding ! There’s great quality bedding , linen is awesome, mattresses and pillows are fantastic . All amenities are of a premium quality, just like at the 5 * hotel. Electric car shuttles are helpful and always there for you. But the best part of the place is its tea, black tea, it’s a splendor ! We drank it for 3 days and it’s never enough , so good. Make sure you buy some to get home. Local ice cream with the milk tea flavor is one of a kind!

An incredible gem of a boutique hotel, run by a friendly host who anticipates and caters to your needs. This hotel is nestled between idyllic hills and farms, and a 20min stroll (or rent their bikes at 60rmb/day) to HuangHua where there’re great restaurants and supermarkets. It was exactly what we did not know we were looking for in a short getaway from HK to Yingde. The hotel itself is clean and modern, and the food was a pleasant surprise. Being foreigners used to western-style breakfast, we were initially apprehensive while booking, but the farm-to-table, home-cooked breakfast turned out to be absolutely delicious, such that we found ourselves looking forward to it on our second morning. We felt like we lucked out with this accommodation choice, as just within walking distance from the hotel, the host brought us to local hiking trails with quite the view (tip: go at sunrise, and if conditions are right you’ll get to see the “sea of clouds”), a climbing crag and an amazing cave you’ll have to yourself. The host, who turned out to be quite the explorer and adrenaline junkie in her younger years, happily took us to them, also showing us photo spots along the way. But perhaps the best kept secret of this hotel is hinted in its name itself. From its roof terrace, we saw shooting stars fly by above the glow of the region’s famous karst.

This award-winning guesthouse was recommended by a design industry veteran, but the road leading to it is quite challenging. I honestly wouldn't recommend it for women; it's even nicknamed Guangdong's Initial D mountain pass. Our room initially had a minor repair issue, so the front desk offered a free upgrade. After checking out the upgraded room, we decided to stick with our original booking as it had a larger yard and the room itself was very spacious, almost a bit empty – a deliberate design choice, I imagine. The design, despite being a decade old, has really stood the test of time, maintaining a simple yet authentic feel. The exterior wood looks quite weathered, but the interior is well-maintained. Designers often appreciate this aged aesthetic; solid wood is actually the most expensive material, costing several times more than the glossy decorative panels often found in more common, 'pretty' designs. However, it's not universally appealing, especially with Guangdong's frequent rain making maintenance difficult. If you're looking for a delicate, refined aesthetic, I wouldn't recommend it. The food in the mountains was just okay, and for such a remote location, the price wasn't overly expensive. The next day, passing through the town, prices were similar, likely due to it being a tourist area. The next morning, looking out, I started to appreciate the spacious design – its advantage truly shone through. It was incredibly relaxing, and I began to feel a subtle difference. This is what's meant by the luxury of large spaces being the most valuable kind of luxury. Now, staying in a small, cramped hotel room feels completely different. There's a small private pool that's good for kids. The water quality is incredibly smooth. The front desk mentioned that the water for brewing tea in the room comes from a natural spring sourced from the valley behind the mountain, just like the pool water. The staff told us that a top Chinese tea master once insisted on using this raw spring water for brewing a multi-million dollar pu-erh tea cake, refusing even filtered water, claiming it was the second best water quality in Guangdong. The tea tasted excellent, and hearing about the water quality, I asked the manager for a large bottle. Due to the room repair, they also gave us a complimentary bag of tea. After returning to Guangzhou and brewing a pot, if they hadn't warned me beforehand, I would have thought the tea was a rip-off. The difference was indeed huge. Using their old testing pen, the data discrepancy was astonishing. The distant mountain views are incredible, but there were quite a few mosquitoes. They should spray more insecticide when there aren't many guests. Also, there aren't many amenities. There's a tea house not too far away on the mountainside where you can pass the time. It's not crowded, and when no one's around, it has a wonderful atmosphere. The higher you go, the better the view. Overall, everything was quite good, and for a semi-wooden cabin, the hygiene was also excellent. I'll definitely come back next time, but I really need to remember to bring a few buckets with me.
