"We didn't think, didn't guess that for 7.5 thousand rubles in a four-star hotel you can get a room like in a student dormitory with an extremely tired furniture stock. I recommend that when booking, carefully read the reviews and look at real photos from hotel guests. In the standard room (attention 4-star hotel) there are no bathrobes, shampoo, refrigerator, normal light (the lighting is terrible), the picture on the TV leaves much to be desired (it flickers and does not convey the color). Bathrobes were provided after calling the reception. The view from the window is on the courtyard, if you leave it open, you will breathe in exhaust fumes. If you plan to stay here, then based on last year's experience, choose a suite, it is really cozy, but last time there was a small problem with a leaking shower head. In addition to accommodation, we booked a sauna for 2 hours, for this the hotel asked in advance to make an advance payment of 3000₽ for the first hour. When we checked into the hotel, we saw that there was a 20% discount on the sauna for guests of this hotel. And then again an incident occurred, when paying the remaining cost, the discount was given only for one hour, vaguely saying that the discount does not apply to prepayment, which, of course, we were not notified about by phone when booking in advance. I would like to separately note the work of the waiters of the restaurant on the 8th floor. We thought that nothing could surprise us in this hotel. But in the absence of visitors in the last hour of work, we waited for tea for more than 20 minutes, and in the end we waited for empty mugs, because the tea we ordered was not available. And apparently the waiter did not know how to tell us about this for 20 minutes. Well, nothing, after another 10 minutes we waited for an alternative. Overall, I got the impression that the staff is incompetent. I will only praise the guys from the kitchen, we liked the breakfast, you are great. Also keep in mind that there are currently renovations going on near the hotel and when booking rooms with a view of the river, you can see a clear violation of environmental legislation, and not a beautiful view of the Angara bank."

"The hotel we stayed at in Irkutsk was a converted old building. The exposed walls, cast-iron radiators, and newly renovated bathrooms were all pluses. The hotel was about a ten-minute walk from Kirov Square, the Roman Catholic Church, the Cathedral of Christ the Redeemer, and Karl Marx Street – very convenient! The hotel restaurant's sturgeon was supposedly the best in Irkutsk, a must-try. The fish was priced per 100 grams; our portion was roughly 250 grams. It tasted great; even those who don't like fish skin finished it all. The filet mignon and meat platters were also very good. Breakfast selection was limited, but the apples were delicious; we had one every day."

"We chose this hotel again for our return trip, this time opting for a twin room. The previous king-size bed had a very soft mattress; it would wobble with the slightest movement from the person next to us. Light sleepers should be cautious when choosing a king-size bed. The single bed was a rare find here, measuring 1.2 meters, and quite comfortable. The only drawback was that there was only one power outlet between the two beds (unlike the king-size room which had one on each side of the bed), but there were four USB ports for charging, which was a bit slow but still usable. There were quite a few Chinese guests, and the restaurant provided disposable chopsticks 😂, as well as a variety of teas to choose from (not tea bags). The fried eggs, though slow, were presented with a very elegant presentation 😄."
