I even thought it might have been better to just book this place for both nights from the start. He even taught himself some simple Chinese, which is impressive!"

There are some restaurants nearby the hotel as well which also serve as a very good alternative for dining options."

"Located in a bustling area of ​​Ishigaki Island, the surrounding area is very convenient, with no problem finding food and drinks. It's a 3-minute walk to the bus terminal. The accommodation has an industrial style, simple and quiet, and even offers afternoon tea and snacks. Check-in and check-out are done using self-service machines. There's a laundry room on the first floor. The rooms aren't large, but they are fully equipped. The only downside is that there are izakayas (Japanese pubs) all around, so if you're unlucky, it might be noisy all night. The soundproofing isn't great, but everything else is fine."

"This is my second time staying at this hotel in Ishigaki Island. It's really rare to find a hotel in Japan with two beds, both 1.5 meters wide! The hotel's location is also great, close to the bus terminal and ferry port, making it convenient to walk to restaurants and shops. When taking the bus to the airport, you can usually get a seat as it's one of the earlier stops. I recommend buying the 5-day pass. Transportation on Ishigaki Island isn't very convenient, and there aren't many buses; only routes 4 and 10 have frequent services, while others might only run twice a day. There are several large supermarkets near the 3A supermarket on the island, making shopping easy. This time, we flew to Ishigaki from Tokyo and bought a lot of things in Tokyo, but we later found that most of those items were also available in the supermarkets on the island, so you can just shop before heading back."

"Here's my travel diary review of my stay at Nest Hotel Ishigaki (Maesato Beach): I recently stayed at the Nest Hotel Ishigaki (Maesato Beach). The hotel features an outdoor pool, and the lawn area is perfect for outdoor BBQ, creating a wonderful vacation vibe. The room decor was simple and clean. I had a twin room with two single beds and a TV. The en-suite bathroom included a bathtub, though the bathroom space was a bit small. Breakfast was a semi-buffet style; the variety wasn't extensive, but the taste was decent, and it was enough to fill up. The front desk can call taxis for you, making transportation very convenient. After a day of exploring, you can relax by the pool, and in the evening, enjoy a BBQ in the courtyard. For trips to Kabira Bay or the Taketomi Island ferry terminal, you can simply book a taxi. Overall, it offers good value for money."
